that was the issue last time, AIT were sky high, now it can make that power all day. it was odd that it would not make power even adjusted cam gears all over the place with no real gains. Only thing i could pick was intake was rubber and small. it is also has more mid as it took more mid timing.

Why? i would never post in the ACTUAL for sale thread as that is not fair! but this is the discussion forum. if i can slow down these messages i am bombarded with (this happens around 3 times a week)... see attached pic that was TODAY. Poor coil packs are getting to epidemic proportions. If i can save one poor soul the heartache im ahead.

No i have a vandetta against all the coilpacks which give our customers grief the yellows are generally no different to superspark and Atomic. Someone has posted a group buy in the Forced Induction section on a public forum, i am merely providing information based on my experience...we see 3 cars a day 5 days a week purely for tuning. Since we have such a specific job description (Tuning) we get to see and gather a ton of unbiased unfiltered data and the plain hard facts are that OEM and SPLITFIRE coil-packs are far less prone to breaking down when the pressure is put on them.

Its designed this way to stop reversion and to smooth the idle, nearly all skylines are supposed to do it.

i run a tune shop and have to break the news to customers that their skyline needs decent coil packs .. im sure just about every other tune shop has the same experience with coilpacks and skylines... paying $265 and then having to cough up for something decent is no bargain.

No its actually the opposite the coils will work fine until they are required to work under high load.. then the missfire. Car ran fine at 12psi but could not light the fires above 16psi

You end up chasing your tail, replace the dead one then month later another falls over and the cycle starts over.

least they are cheap, quick searching will net you one for around 350.

not real good but is a cheap and popular highflow route, fine for power but idle and fuel consumption is generally compromised. these are available on ebay as various brands.

Its not the same its running more boost 18psi on pump 98 vs 22psi on e85. i also stated anything over 22psi netted no more peak power.

what comp? and where are the cam gears set to? also what a/f boost and ignition timing does it hold at target boost? -5 tend to still make power up at 26-28psi

Same bucket as the others. OEM or SPLITFIRE are the only real options. i have thrown out so many other brands of coil packs its crazy.. generally they always die just out of warranty or on the second owner as most guys honestly dont own imports much longer than 2 years.... so on average these chinese branded coil packs last about the same amount of kms as a set of copper spark plugs lol
