  1. Take the boost controller out. You know that 7+ on the stock gauge is 14psi right? So half way to 7+ would be about 7psi.... which is stock.
  2. Thanks mate. Good to know. Wasn't sure if it was gonna be D2S or not. I might try to hunt some around. Where did the PCB board come from? Usually stupid things like that are expensive at dick smith etc. Actually the projectors themselves are quite good. It's the bulbs behind them and the electricals that are getting old.
  3. Gday Simon - glad you ended up with a cefiro. There is a good way - don't register it. What I don't get though is why the f**k wouldn't you want side intrusion bars? You can get kits if you want to save money but sif you wanna be t-boned and find out the hard way that they are used for a good reason. I'd even argue that they'd be a good idea even if you weren't getting it rego'ed.. I mean you're takin it on the track!! Other info for complying is available in the regulation/importing section of the forums.
  4. VLs are bogan mobiles. Same engines but r31 are made in Japan. Need more be said? They still look like a fridge on wheels but VLs are worse.
  5. PS just a note. SPOOLD (white r33 with white rims) and the chick and dude with the r32 with white rims... *drool* I want white rims now!!!!
  6. Maybe it's just turning into a SR motor. Good stuff you can join me soon
  7. The stock gauge isn't too accurate either - so if it feels ok seat of the pants wouldn't worry.
  8. Good on ya guys thanks for organising. I think we rarely think of the time it takes to get this stuff up and running. I shudder to think how long it would have taken to make the route and actually do it prior to making us run it. Also being the first to get there and last to leave (as well as packin the Navara etc etc) So yeah good on ya guys and thanks everyone else for lookin friendly doodz - you should have stayed with us I can't remember the plate but the guy and the gal I kept bumping into I forgot to introduce myself - ooOPs. Rego plate 132I, 1R32I ?? Similar?? Gday champ I managed to get some shots before my camera battery ran out. Cefiro POwaaahahHH!
  9. Yes I still use a pioneer. I don't have the model that has the motorised face that's in my flatmates car. I never had this problem. Chris knows what he is doing you can just leave it to him
  10. I bought and learnt how to drive a manual on my first car. Before that I learnt to drive in an auto. I would advise for any first car get a shitter because there's a high chance of writing it off or dinging it etc.. so just drive that for a year or two then get a skyline. PS. I wrote my first car off.. very hard.
  11. Cars had a wheel alignment and the sensor probe tightened up (no more oil weap). Drives FREAKIN GREAT.
  12. 20k minimum. I mean even if someone is gonna take the rb26 out.. with all the engine bits fuark that's a 10k engine. Bummer man I know how having to sell cos if money feels :\
  13. Fuark SA sucks. Good luck with that - post some pics up when you get it !!
  14. I'm tempted to buy the VT for 16.5 just to swap this guy for his GTR. I would have thought that's an awesome deal.
  15. Any repco will sell that stuff. I use motul 8100 5/40 -$55 or $60 i think. Castrol 10/50 and mobil 1 people also use. When doing my last change I had elf excellium 5/40 put in. I trust that too. gearbox - redline mt90
  16. Oh yeah. This morning about 8am on Warringah Rd. ARL something r34 - TOUGHEST looking r32 evarr.. Cute lookin driver too AQN something black r34 always see it. A r31 and r33 too. 4-5pm-ish waved hello to a busy lookin owner of a tough lookin r34 on Warringah Road. Also spotted SLY 31 a r31 on Link Rd - had a chat.
  17. Hay Liz - I was finally spotted *beam*. Was trying to have dinner for my bday.. All booked out, ended up goin to Manly. Were you in the r33 with unpainted front bar?
  18. ROFL That's hilarious. Just don't do anything to piss anyone off (i.e. keep a low profile) but also be assertive. Letting your car warm down a little isn't anything bad. That's reasonable behaviour. Also if they didn't sign it they're obviously not up to get a constructive response so they aren't interested in being constructive about it they just wanted to vent. Obviously no life people who read the local newspaper and think go to michelles patisserie with their wannabe socialite friends for 'coffee'. lol Don't worry I get a lot of those too. People hailing me to slow down when I'm going 40kmh... I swear it's the CAI pipe that does it
  19. I usually run my HU's directly from the battery (well, with a fuse etc) because I've found sometimes the normal wiring doesn't give enough power. Also the Pioneers are funny sometimes. Both of mates have them and they do funny things like that with power. Try running a fused power cable straight from your battery and leave the ACC hooked to the ACC as per normal. Reset the thing as well. Good luck.
  20. Thanks Scathing - please keep us posted. I've found Damian on detail paradise forums - I'm posting up as we speak
  21. Phwoarr.. I need to rejuvenate my paint. Wash, polish, then wax. Where do I get the Z8 for cheap? That looks gold.
  22. Fuarkin hell. Reminds me of that video floating around on the net where the drag racer on the bike has the piston fly out of the engine and take his wrist straight off. Makes me shudder whenever I think about it. TAPE IT and post up over xmas please
  23. Well.. it's been a long time but I think we finally found something that a zip tie won't fix.
