Don't take this the wrong way but wouldn't it be easier to get it engineered? Or don't you have that in SA? It seems a bit extreme stuff to return to stock on that list that's all.

Make sure the ground cable is attached properly (it's the black one from your battery and should attach to your car chassis and engine).

Official NSW Skyline spotted thread
someonestolecc replied to CerealKiller's topic in New South Wales
Spotted a r33 with unpainted 400r-style front bar yesterday at balmoral shops. Spotted a gun metal R32 GTR heading out of the city on the freeway just after the harbour bridge. -
Please don't screw it into your floor.. I think that's the fuel tank I've got a rear strut brace, what I've done is bought some cargo looking strap things for $20 from super cheap auto. They are the ones that are flat tape with a lever on the end so you feed the tape through and make it tight with the lever. I used them both to secure the sub to the brace and it ain't goin nowhere but is still removable for the track etc. Otherwise mounting brackets into your seats or something - just make sure you don't use a screw too long to stab your passengers, or too short so it falls out. Good luck.

I would say you could pretty much use a R32 exhaust if you just change the mounts. The recesses in the floorpan however I think are fairly standard. That's only a guess though. - your best bet is to drive to a wrecker or something and get a r32 one and just place it under the car to have a look and be prepared to weld some mount points. Otherwise someone more knowledgable than me could probably comment too

Uras & Autech Bars
someonestolecc replied to rhiga's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
God damnit. I'd buy it if it was in Sydney. -
Never used it but 3 comments.. 1- I never buy anything off tv/web/phone if it's not available in a shop. My logic is there's a reason it isn't available in the shop. It's also based on my experience working for a company that sold things like this. 2- It's all gift packs that are priced very aggressively. It's not like you lose $30 if it doesn't work (i'd be ok just buying his "wonder product" but not a whole set). 3- Whoever wrote the site is a good salesperson with a good knowledge of "pulling" people through the ladder to the sale. *shrug* not either way just my observations.

Just Saw This On Carsales
someonestolecc replied to twoquik's topic in General Automotive Discussion
auto too. But someone will buy it for that price cos there's always something stupid. -
Also - I've booked it into Nathan @ Grey Imports tommorrow to have a look at a couple of things like the oil weap (I think it will be a case of a new washer for the oil sender) and the rear rotors (machine so they aren't as squeeky). It'll also be getting a wheel alignment. C'mon how good am I ?? Buy it up people.

Hey thanks guys - It IS sad. Very sad. Nic it goes better now with the head rebuilt!! It's so much smoother too If you buy it before christmas I'll chuck in a free Professor Sheepdog BOV (installed or not is up to you). If you're a SAU financial member and buy before christmas I will ALSO provide an unnamed security system (includes remote central etc) with the car (value $500+, however I WILL NOT under any circumstances leave the immobilisation points plugged in, you WILL have to get the door sensors + imm points installed by an auto electrician.. this is for my security). Incase anyone is interested this is what I was going to do with the car next- - oil cooler - more gauges - cams + rocker arm stoppers - cross drilled rotors (when the current rotors run out) - roll cage C'mon people this deal is good! Think about it.. engine transplant, gearbox transplant, aftermarket turbo and all the bolt ons, all the suspension bits, big wheels, engineering in NSW (FULLY engineered), it's been through blue slip, and it's been in the country and you can see and touch it before buying... Any parts for the engine you can get for any non vvt SR20, any suspension parts from a S13/R32, electrics R32... the only thing thats unique to a ceffy is the panels which most J-wreckers are starting to get anyway.

[edit:PRICE DROPPED TO 15k for this price CALL ME 0410 532 548.] Time has come, regretful sale of my car... This thing ain't a beauty queen but I've spent many hours and coins on getting it good - I did never intended on selling it, it's just had head recondition and service last week by Nathan Grey Imports (receipts) as the latest thing. I'm selling it to pay off gambling debts Engine and stuff S13 SR20DET S13 SR20DE gearbox Trust t518z turbo GTR calsonic intercooler aftermarket exhaust manifold 3" hi-flow cat 3" resonator 3" to 4" tip Trust muffler 550 injectors (unknown) fuel pump (unknown) Pod filter with shield and Revolution Racegear neoprene CAI hose Trust sump Retuned ECU Nissan s15 BOV (re-circ) Cusco oil catchcan Brass short shift kit Big radiator (twin fans) Xtreme 9 puk clutch + 860kg pressure plate Interior and stuff Greddy boost pressure gauge Omori tacho Nardi steering wheel Bride Brix driver seat with Bride rail R33 passenger seat Rear seat re-upholstered Rear tints pimped 1kg CAMS approval Chubb fire extinguisher mounted Outside and stuff Wonder front bar with custom indicators and pig spec paint job Unknown rear bar Unknown sideskirts Front and rear pumped guards Suspension, brakes and wheels and stuff Tein HA coilovers Full circle rear camber kit PU pineapples Front bolt in spacers Aftermarket tie rod ends 18x8.5 DTM wheels Fat strut brace front Adjustable rear strut brace Full 5 stud conversion with s14 hubs Full brake upgrade to r32 Type M brakes running Project Mu D1spec rear pads and NR fronts 2 way mechanical diff Running Motul 8100 5/40 engine. Redline MT90 gearbox. Shockproof Heavy diff., Motul RBF600 for brakes Changed at reasonable intervals (3000-5000km for engine) Pulled just under 200rwkw at Unigroup with many people commenting on my the power curve (it's excellent). Tuned safely to 12.1:1 - with cams could easily see 230rwkw and with more aggressive tuning you could probably hit 240rwkw with great response and a fat curve. The car is also fully engineered in NSW. Current issues: Scratched front bar (usual drift front bar) Reverse lights not working (will fix before sale!) Squeeky brake pads (typical) Small rock hole in left hand headlight assembly (can fix before sale!) Warped rear rotor - just annoying sound sometimes Pics - http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...howtopic=124467 Stereo system NOT listed, pictured, or included at this price- but I can negotiate on this (whoever gets the car gets to keep the sound deadened front doors regardless). Drink holders also not included (not negotiable on the drink holders!!) If you're interested please pm me or email tom at coolchaos fullstop com - I'm on the North Shore in Sydney.

Sorry to say it but on both counts he's wrong. A cop can defect you with a pod - there's no way around it they CAN do it. I have mine engineered and technically they can still defect me for it. On the second count that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard of. If you think about it logically you can see he's wrong.

I know optimax and ultimate = 98 ron, but is it caltex or mobil that uses 95 RON high octane? I know one of the servo brands don't have 98...

Roughly How Much Is A Passage Worth?
someonestolecc replied to cheekystylez's topic in Classic & Vintage (1950's-1980's)
bah it's another ae86 car where they are more expensive as they are really worth ;| -
Noooooo more boost Need to get rid of the misc rattle. I reckon there's a rock in the muffler.
-
I thought the air pod was more of an EPA noise issue than an EPA emissions issue. Atleast that's what my engineer said - something about cops pulling bullshit about pods because it's linked to noise, but he also said the noise and pod logic only really applies to rotories because they are very loud through pods. Either way good luck good on ya for goin to court.
