  1. That's not really what intercoolers do. They cool the charge air into the engine... your stock one should be fine, even in the heat. If you're worried about your engine on hot days get an oil cooler. A stock skyline won't have problems on hot days it's just not running as well as it would be in cooler weather because cars won't boost as much on hot days. I won't take my car out on 30-40degree days at all.
  2. No shroud either. I'd take the first one.. just fix the front end and it'll look like a mad car.
  3. I lost 8 or 9 points on my p plates - which would have been a loss of license and stalled till I got my silvers, took my points then... many years ago. As far as I could tell in NSW the points are taken off at the time the guilty ruling comes about... so in the meantime you can drive. I now consider myself a mature aged enthusiast. Also, an interesting point I might add for those that don't know is that in NSW you only get your points back 3 years from the date of the last conviction, not each individual conviction.
  4. The whole point of this thread isn't a theoretical one. If you took away all advantage/disadvantages you'd be left comparing 2 of the same car. Point is the GTR is more of a sports car.
  5. I'd get a shitter s13 for like $6-8k. 300zx sucks and r32 NA would suck too.
  6. The other thing is it's a r33 GTST, arguably the least desirable skyline ever, and everyone has one.
  7. The question inevitably arises... why paul newman?
  8. If you're comparing them just go the falcon.. it was meant to be
  9. That's a nice car... I missed out on the NYE lotto so I can't buy this.
  10. Negotiatable on price. Gimme a ring 0410 532 548. Engine pics-
  11. Damn I just found this thread and wanted some pics but they're all gone :\
  12. Unless it's modded heavily, i doubt that it would cost more to get another one here than importing one. At around 15-20k AUD that's like ... 5-10k GBP ?
  13. I know which button you mean. I've got one in my cefiro controlling my electric radiator fans As for the spoiler I think most people remove the mechanism that controls it to save weight.
  14. I think you're getting confused. A boost controller is seperate from a ECU. The pfc is a stand alone aftermarket ECU.. which happens to be able to plug into a hand controller. A boost controller will just change your boost.. So.. it depends what you want to do - retune the car or up the boost. The PFC -can- control a boost controller solenoid, so in this sense it can work like a boost controller... but they are really 2 different things.
  15. Will the same rubber grommet and unused fitting be present on a rb20?
  16. I was trying to zoom in on Melv's avatar. PICSORBAN of the chick!!
  17. lol. They based their research on a 2000 people survey that said technology and games were important to car choice. An inference I would make, instead of saying "wow these kids want games in and as part of their cars", would be that "car manufacturers need hero cars that are featured in games to sell the brand." Oh well.. Spose they get paid the big bucks and here I am doin a standard 9-5.
  18. In our lifetimes I believe some very major things will happen. We'll have some sort of huge war and wipe ourselves out, pollute ourselves to death, run out of oil whatever... We very sorely need a clean way of harnessing energy, but we also need to flip the world economic markets so wealth isn't oppressing us all. Till then note where your nearest army base with the steyrs is incase shit hits the fan and you need some firepower. P.S. We're running out of oil and EVERYTHING we use/consume/need to maintain our level of living will become scarce or non existant.
  19. No you have to do your own leg work. 1- join sau 2- go to cams website and apply for your cams license (I'm assuming it's L2S) 3- watch out on the forums for drift days/motorkhanas/whatever
  20. Top Gear USED to be cool. I haven't watched it for years and caught it on SBS when they were interviewing gerri halliwell.. enough said. Show has been taken over :\
  21. I'd definately keep the wheels over cheapies unless they were damaged. I'd say a balance, wheel alignment and possibly some new suspension components might be the order of the day.
  22. Thanks, I've always wondered Air flow meter - it basically measures how much air passes into your engine. It's the main input for the computer and a hell of a lot of decisions are made based on that input. Basically if you find the air filter in your car and follow the pipe a little back you should see a piece of "pipe" with some flanges on it and a plug coming out of it. That's your AFM.
