I guess it comes down to how bad the thief wants your car. If he wants it bad, whats to stop em using those wheel jack thingoes and just rolling your car onto a tip truck. Any alarm is (as mentionted) just a time factor thing. If you are serious about not losing your car, id see the only way would be a combination of all the above thigs listed. Im going for the satellite tracking, and.....YER RIGHT! like im telling the whole of the WORLD!! Serioulsy though, dont leave gauges, hand controllers, steroes in plain sight. Use a club lock (steering or clutch pedal), a high intensity led, an alarm (maybe the paging type if you want to know asap if your cars being toyed with) Its all about how long they need to get what they want. If its the whole car, bad luck...

As for the lack of torque...the rb20 is a 2Lt motor compared to the EF (4.1Lt?)....off boos performance sucks after driving the rb20 around....do a test drive and make sure you can live with the power spread...if your going to use the 4 door as a people mover, make sure your happy with it...mine pulled well with 4 people in the car with the rb20...off boost sucked a little...my 2c

Do you have the car beeping with the door open, and the keys in the ignition? Mines makes a f**n annoying beep when the keys are in the barrel, and i open the door...im gunn rip it out soon edit/ your factory central locking system is that loom above as well...its obviously been replaced and taped up inside....more labour to strip it out completely...just lazy people installing a/m alarm....

Im not flaming the guy, or saying anything against him. Do check however....Rust on the cars. Look EVERYWHERE. Ask him where he sources his cars from in Japan, (location), and do some research... Cheaper cars arn't always cheap for a reason. Go see him in person, people are more helpful when you speak to them face to face. He is known in the import scene...im sure there is info on here (SAU) and NissanSilvia.com Do some RESEARCH....it always helps.

Yup totally agree there. I was a noob when i bought my skyline. New to turbos as well. I though..Ahh turbo car lots of potential...set a power limit way above what was capable out ot the r32 rb20's range. (275ish rwkw) so for me it was go the rb25...then Joel told me about the rb30. But yes if the power limit is set at a capable limit below 250rwkw..go the rb20/25

I guess people will always have the same mentality though Gary. You know the same as i what the power feels like. Id prefer the off boost torque of the rb31 anyday compared to the nothing that the rb20 had below boost. I agree the rb25 is a good motor, but i still dont like the peaky nature of its power band with bigger turbos... I may be a little biased coming from a 250 2 stroke background, but a narrow power band isnt the best feeling when u want to give it a squirt sometimes.... Dumping a larger turbo on the rb20 doent make it better in my mind...only makes the power hit harder in the top...rb30..well..more power everywhere, and it revs like a snotter... If there were no such thing as turbos, would people be buyin the 2Lt na, the 2.5Lt na...or the 3.1Lt na inline 6? food for though... *diclaimer*...I dont care about what others think. Im not here to start a cc war, only saying in my mind (and Garys i think) the rb30 is the best $ for perfomance mod u can do to the skyline.
