  1. Howdy, Due to problems coming up with my new motor installed, i cant put these rims i bought to go on my car anytime soon. Instead of waiting for a few months, I though someone else may have good use out of them. They are 18" rims. The rears are 18" x 9.5" wide (120 114.3 PCD) with +38 offset The fronts are 18" X 8.5" wide (112 114.3 PCD) with +35 offset These rims will fit a r33 gtst or on a r32 gtst (what i was going to put em on - yes they will fit if you run 235's on the front and 245's or maybe 255's on rears) (check to see if they will on a r33) I have been to a tyre joint, and you can fit anywhere from 235 - 265 on the rear 9.5" wide rims legally.... Come in Shadow chrome. The fronts are BRAND new rims, and the rears are as new - no scratches on dish area. I measured the dish on the rear rims, and from the studs to the outer lip its 70mm!!!!! Price - $1200(includes shipping anywhere in Aus) or $1000 if buyer pays postage see pics below. If you can get these somewhere else cheaper or in a better/worse condtion etc....- I dont want to hear about it. Keep your comments to yourself. Thanks.
  2. I didnt completely read through this one, but it might help you out : http://www.talkaboutautos.com/group/rec.au...ges/555011.html edit/ i still got that rb20det head here too if you need anything from it everything bar 2 exhaust valves....
  3. You can test it anytime you want on mine
  4. Went to see Dale at K & A Motorsports. Ive persuaded Joel to help me......well me help him take the damn box out again, and i'll take it down there for him to rebuild for me. Now the last issues i have it the speedo not working (sender is r33 bottom gtr mechanical top) Do i need to use the gtr speedo cable in my gtst for it to work?? Powersteering pump making some noises, and hicas light comes on. All problems speedo, ps, and hicas are related...
  5. getting high res pics for you asap. Should have the camera by tomorrow morning (uncles letting me have a lend for a day) Will email them to you (large pics high res) ok?
  6. Thanks Joel...thats extremely.....informative
  7. A DIY guide with photos would be a life saver guys. This is a very common problem on the r32's due to them using the pump for powersteering as well as the HICAS.
  8. The r33 box i have was put into a r32 and worked previously. Speedo and all. It has the modified speedo sender already in it...ie r33 bottom half with the r32 gtr top mechanical half. So i thought it was a simple procedure of screwing my speedo cable in to get it to work, but unfortunatly it didnt work.... Clint....did you end up using a r32 GTR speedo cable in the r32 to get it to work, or is there something im missing??? cheers.
  9. Sorry to dig up an old one (seems to be a trend lately ) But i installed a r33 box in my r32. Now the speedo doesnt read anything, and the power fc hand controller isnt getting a speed reading as well....reads 00 My powersteering is also playing up big time as well How did you end up knowing to replace the speedo cable Troy? Do i have to change the speedo cable to a 32 GTR one to get my speedo to work in the r32? The speedo sender in the box is the r33 bottom with the gtr mechanical end on it. It and the r33 box was used in a previous r32 and both were working.... My speedo was working before the rb30det went in, with the rb20det and rb20det gearbox
  10. What was the cause DarkZero? My powersteering is affected and my speedo isnt working???
  11. yer rb30e manual spigot. $5 from Repco or $7 from Sprints. Im lucky i fixed mine before it did any damage. I think the box was a little tired when i got it to start with. This is the first time ive run it, so i dont know how mine went before....
  12. yer - huge I can measure them both for you if you really want...... edit/ Now my powersteering is deciding to have an opinion about how it works Gotta get the pump fixed or a new one
  13. You can buy new plates for the twins to rebuild em....dont quote me, but i think i remeber about $700 for new plates...dunno if its just the metal, or friction or both.....Adelaide clutch can measure the plates and tell you how worn it is though....
  14. Is it hard to rebuild a powersteering pump? Ive got a r32 gtst, and was wondering if its a labour intensive job...... how much is it to get a replacement pump, compared to rebuilding the old one? Has anyone removed the pump out their own car, and how did you do it?
  15. Funny story actually. Friction plates were 95% new, and metal plates were bent requiring them to be machined. So I kept and am using the plates that were in it....
  16. This is still available for sale or swap (+ cash adjustment). Lemme know if your interested.
  17. do what you want then. But if he has to strip his motor down due to it blowing smoke, are you going to pay for all work required? Bov or no bov is a tad different to how to make an engine last......
  18. I had my OS twin plate recon'd by Adelaide clutch as well. Cost roughly $450 to get the two metal plates machined (were bent), something done to the bottom part where the flywheel was, and a new thrust bearing. Workes ok for me Dont know of anyone else who could do the same job....i might be wrong though...
  19. well after road testing it.....definilty needs new bearings in the box This time im paying someone else to do it Spigot changeover made it better, but wasnt the only problem in the end.....
  20. NEVER use any synthetic oil in your motor when bedding in the rings.
  21. If its when you change from gear to gear..ie crunch on change...id say your syncros are shagged. Cost only like $500 in parts to rebuild a r32 box?....might be cheaper to get a 2nd hand one..... I just got a quote for parts only for a FULL rebuild on a r33 box......cost $930 from Unley Nissan. Thats how much parts are only....add labour to remove, rebuild, and reinstall....
  22. r33 box was in there to start with, well its first time in the car with the new motor. Just had a problem with the way it sounded...Joel went over the photos he took (lifesaving photos -see it helps to record everything ) and due to a slight...well mishap....the auto spigot was left in the end of the crank.... Pulled out the r33 box and put it back in after replacing the spigot with a manual one....hope to see by tomorrow if its done the trick with the box... Yes on the ground as well..... Not 1 drop of the expensive shockproof spilt as well
