  9. See what happens when you sell the line Cheeky ps...I cant quite read what your avatar says...something about reading?.....
  10. dont get me wrong, i loved my rb20 too...first car ive had that pulled the same even with 3 mates in the car Only reason it blew was because someone overtightened the damn idler bearing bolt. Either way if it still was going, i would of had spent a lot on it insted of the rb31det route....so i could of had a 10k rb20 or a 10k rb31det....im glad i went the way i did though.. Troy, have you been for a drive in a rb30det yet?...Im telling you for a track car the motor is UNFKNBLVABL!!! Imagine the power your old motor at full song had...now picture having the similar power BEFORE boost kicks in, then a larger thump in the arse after! Not trying to talk you out of the rb20, just offering a different avenue
  11. dod you or someone diagnose what exactly went wrong with the 4 pistons. May save you a rebuild again?
  12. top of the dash in front of the passenger is the ambient temp sensor. Try a second hand one from the forums, or a wreckers. There is a dignostic mode for the climate control as well... HICAS light can mean a number of things...powersteering fluid, or brake fluid could be low. Need a wheel alignment. o a diagnostic check on the HICAS as well....should narrow down the problems at least to give you somewhere to start.
  13. last count im uo to 12k...and the r33 box just decided it needs a rebuild....theres $1500 i didnt see coming. But really, stick to the plan and see the results.....then decide for any extra mods. edit/ my bottom end minus the forgies (same exact build specs) would cost a little over $1800 for it to be built. Very reliable for 250 - 275 rwkw....and snot loads of torque
  14. my 2c...which aint much buy a rb30 bottom end from wreckers (mine cost $100 ) buy an rb25de head (mine cost $750) do a std bottom end rebuild of the rb30 using same pistons, just hone, new rings and bearings ($850?) bolt on head to block, drill tap tensioner, $30 timing belt, 2x rb30 tensioners ($80 ea) how much so far?...using rb20 sump, manifolds, turbo (i am to start ) water pump, rb20 oil pump....no costs here. redrill engine mounts to lower engine, plug in rb20 sensors, mod front pipe. done...turn key and watch the rb30 rumble for under 2k. But as they say...the spending never stops once it starts....i wish i had kept to the plan above and watch people grin Seriously though i had the same drama as you. Rb20 blew, and went the rb31. Never look back now
  15. Id like to see the first police officer who tries to enfores this law.....wont be a woman (no offence) and they wont be by themselves i reckon. Only hope it applies to those midnight ***wit drifters through the hills, and drag ricers down anzac.....now time to register my car with my cat as half owner
  16. Is it because he was selling the cable and software on here for $700 - $950.....
  17. whatever loom you use, use the computer and sensors to suit. As far as i know they dont make a pfc for rb25de. I wouldnt use GTR injectors in the rb20 PFC comp (see recent gtr injectors in rb20 threads) Dont mix match comps and looms....
  18. y0880 - because you are using the rb25de head, its easier to use the rb20det loom and AP Engineering pfc. The use the all the sensors you have, except change the aac valve on the plenum. This is only if you want to ditch the vct....
  19. Part number 714568-0001 Core assembly spec: GT35R 56 Trim compressor GT40 Compressor 2.41/3.22 Compressor wheel 65 lbs per min flow 84 Trim turbine 2.45/2.68 turbine wheel (inconel) Compressor cover 0.7 AR with 4'' bell mouth inlet Going on a HKS cast tubular manifold with external gate. See this thread -http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/showthread.php?t=42538 inlet manifold will be a RIPS rb25de front facing job, using a bigger tb. then the usual cams (265/264) and larger exhaust, ic core (100mm thick) already installed is a r33 box (needs a bearing kit:() and os twin plate, 550cc inj, 044 pump, pfc, q45 afm.... cant think of anything else atm....

  25. Cool...so the both mean the same then. I like the tribal tats because of the lack of colours.
