r33's dont use the powersteerpump for hicas like the r32 one does.....

Howdy, Can i fit a r33 powersteering pump to my r32, and just block off the hicas oil supply and return lines? Im getting a Tomei hicas lock for the car as well, so dont need to worry about the hicas. Id like to keep all the lines and rear rack in the car incase i want to have the hicas put back at a later date, so is it ok just to block off these oil lines? My r32 powersteering pump is making noises (not its not run dry or needs bleeding) its more internal whirring bearings....so instead of getting this pump reco'd or a replacement pump, since im removing hicas i tought this might be a better way to go? cheers

I wanna know how interstate can have mods engineered to ADR standards....which dont seem to apply here in SA. ADR = AUSTRALIAN design regulations how can one state pass items regarding these standards, yet SA it costs an arm and a leg to do it. PLUS its not guaranteed REGENCY will pass ENGINEERED mods from another state. Yet they use the same ADR's to go by..... HOW THE HELL DOES THAT WORK?????????

vl turbo box is more similar to the rb20det box i believe. Rb25det box is better....

SootyR32, I think you are more disappointed you didnt get your bargain price performance bits, rather than the fact he choses to cancel his auctions early. True, it should be offered at a higher price, or buy now option, but he may choose to set a lower price to get more people initially interested....No need to bad mouth somone if they chose to do things differently - even if they havent read the ebay rules....

Pinging is pre detonation of the fuel before the piston reaches tdc. (I hope im right ) It basically sends a shockwave through the motor. Hence why pistons go....It can be caused by a few different things, like crapola carbon deposits in the combustion chamber too....cant tune it out if that happens....

ive got a HKS SSQV one. Its got the flange for a rb20det on it. (They can be changed via a circlip to suit your car.) Let me know if your interested.

it sits nice and low in the rev range with the std r32 4.3 lsd....dont worry about extras unless its a) got to be sorted in a custom job (like drukenmaster), b)your old diff is rooted. I always see people asking about big arsed turbos, injectors etc....how about people worry about building the motor, fitting it and getting it running......

tyres arnt that expensive for these suprisingly I had a quote for 260 each for rears (245 40 18) (Toyo Trampio TPG's) - these are a damn good tyre too

im in adelaide. I weighed each rim in its box (for postage details) each rim + its packaging came to 13kgs. I can weigh each rim for you if you want its own weight.... cheers.

Fitted a r33 gtst box to my r32 gtst. It has the modified speedo drive (r33 electronic lower) and 32 gtr top to convert it back to cable drive. The box came out of a r32 as well, so i thought it would be a plug and play job, however the speedo isnt working. The cable isnt jammed or kinked (i made sure, and it was working with the rb20det box) so i think it may be the drive in the box isnt working. If i jack up the rear of the car, disconnect the cable from the speedo drive, then start the car and put in gear with the clutch out - should the little bit in the speedo drive where the cable goes into be spinning as the tyres are spinning?? I.e.- can i tell the speedo drive is working by looking at it with the car in gear, and the cable disconnected??? Is their anything else that has to be done to make this box owrk in a r32 gtst? I have the modified tailshaft and x member....do i need to do anything to the gtst cable or dash?? thanks.
