  1. Depending on what head you plan on using...since you are using the rb25de head, you have no vvt. So the best option would be to use the rb20det loom as it has no vvt as well, and the rb20det Power FC...make sense?
  2. As far as i know all rb20 /25 ehxaust manifolds are the same....due to the size not being too big or small having to do with the optimal size to spool the turbo...they are all the same. Im using the rb20det exhaust manifold. No difference in port size when i looked to the rb25de head....
  3. I suppose the guy with the number would charge you as well for photos of your own car?? :headspin:
  4. buy an rb20 loom and use that one instead...then use the rb20det PFC
  5. set of cams in the rb30det can bring it to 7000 odd rpm.....without power dropping off depending on turbo etc.... even with the rb25 head it doesnt miraculously get a 7000rpm limit....
  6. ok heres a few more pics showing the bottom runner with the rb25de gasket on the rb20 bottom half and the rb25de bottom half....no difference
  7. ok...the top rb20 and bottom halve are the same (can do minor port work), its the shape of the ports to the head is whats different...i'll get ya a photo... the first is the rb25de runners + rb25de gasket. Ports on the rb25de head are roughly the same size as the gasket. Next is the rb25de gasket on the rb20 runners...notice the difference? Whatever car you are installing the engine into dictates the sensors you will be using, as well as the version of the power fc. Ie R32 = AP Engineering, r33 std r33 unit...
  8. why bother....its the rb25 stroker any way
  9. Well Joel is starting his with all the std gear ecu etc....i assume he wont be driving it too far till he gets it on the dyno to check out the mixtures, but it should be ok..... *Disclaimer*....only if you want to...lol
  10. My best advice would be to swap out all gear that you had, and replace with all std items...ie injectors, afm, etc...then run the std ecu. AFM should be able to keep correct fuelling then. Saying that mine is being started on a Power FC, then fuelling set up straight away....with a mild tunew for the run in...using all std parts. ie injectors, afm etc... If you dont have the std gear, make sure you get a tuner to start it and check the mixtures straight away...
  11. Stolen from SDU i believe....well a guy has it as his there anyway
  12. the port shape is larger on the bottom half of the 25DE than the rb20 bottom half. The top half (rb20) i used because the AAC valve is different from rb20 to 25de....
  13. they are the same if not cheaper than the Z32 frrom the ones ive seen...well it beats paying $450 from the shops here for a second hand Z32 anyway
  14. Please mate - a brand new Garrett turbo for $400...get outta here...and your saying you dont know if its stolen.... *clicks unsubscribe*...wasting everyones time now.....
  15. im using everyting from the rb20 for the run in...er...excext the r33 box, twin plate, cam gears and high flow rb20 turbs to strart. When the bigger turbo goes on, new front facing manifold will go on (RIPS:)) with an enlarged rb25 throttle body, or the Q45 jobbie
  16. Damn...just need to scrape some cash now
  17. lack of torque.....LMFAO MUAHAHAH :bahaha:
  18. take off the items u usually need to whenm removing the sparke plugs...ie crossover pipe, and coil cover. The undo the 20 or so phillips head screws around the rocker covers...be careful not to shag the rubber sealing gasket, or buy a new one if your worried. Not too hard, just remember what comes off when, then reverse the process to put back on...simple:)
  19. Well i guess it looks like im up for GTR guards as well then Edit/ nah...just gotta fit the bonnet vents and pins and ill be sweet
  20. :bahaha: He says with all the years behind him......:bahaha: DAMN STRAIGHT ! 1 thing i cant stand is people bragging how they can get "Cheap" gear but their always the F ucken loosers who complain like a bit ch when their shit gets taken....
  21. I believe it might make tuning a little harder because its got so much resolution ie harder to get a smooth tune if you are only looking for a little more over std ....hence why ppl go the z32 - 1 step up. But then again i dont know shit, best to speak to someone who knows more, and has tuned cars with different types of AFM's....Shaun
  22. Yup Z32 + Q45 both in there. If you need a lend of the controller (if you dont have one) lemme know...
  23. PFC and Q45 afm (got Q45 with plug for 300) so it worked out cheaper than the z32 :S Gets started today Shaun said
  24. Sweet Monkey May be the better option....The GTST and GTR would be different? Id be up for the front and rear bar, sides and them damn sexy bonnet vents for my gtst (Planning on a gtr bonnet to go with it )
  25. Righto... I pick My RB31DET up in a few days and this is my plan : Change oil/filter 2-3 times first 5000kms Main thing is dont over rev for first 500 kms Put eng under moderate load (ie accelerate from 40 to 80 a few times) aviod prolonged idle first 100 kms first 1000kms use any "plain" non friction modified oil after that change to good oil.... Happy running in
