  1. Just saved myself $239 on my greenslip by shopping around. Allianz sent me a renewal for greenslip for $613 so i checked out the MAA website (http://www.maa.nsw.gov.au/greenslips13prices.htm) and was pretty suprised by the difference in prices. I thought they were only ever around $50 either side of each other but AAMI was quite good. $374 is the cheapest greenslip ive ever had. Anyone else up for renewal soon?
  2. I have found battery salespeople to be more dodgy than the average salesperson in my experience.
  3. 404 Awesome GTR not found
  4. i voted for the points.
  5. A 87 - 89 porche hey. Hope you have deep pockets or are a mechanic. They can be nice cars if well maintained but a cheap one is not going to be.
  6. heh, i cant believe how fast they drive in Japan considering the posted limit is 80km/h. I was passed quite often while doing 140km/h. I was once passed by a fairly worked looking tarago doing at least 200. Then by a Supra doing about the same. I felt like i was so slow.

  8. Also, will trade for a Apex'i pod filter if in new/near new condition. I believe these are smaller.
  9. I have a Blitz Sus core type pod filter for sale. This is the metal type pod filter. It is brand new, i bought it back from Japan with me but have discovered that it will not fit inside my cold air partition as it is too large. It is designed to fit an ECR33 RB25DET (Skyline R33 GTS25t) and has all bolts, brackets and such to do just that. SOLD SOLD SOLD!!! Thanks Thanks

I still have the receipts from Crystal (shop in Japan) and it cost me 15,300 yen so i am looking for about $180 for it. Im in Sydney and you can contact me via PM on here or on 0438 585 420. Thanks
  11. heh just dont cut the actual gear stick and make sure you dont cut into the thread which may prevent future gear knobs working ...
  12. thanks for the feedback guys. The car looked awseome in the flesh.
  13. I would hacksaw the gear knob off (after purchasing a replacement of course).
  14. First time i've had time to make a photo thread of my Japanese trip so here it goes let me know what you think. All pics are clickable for bigger versions On about day 4 of being in Tokyo i decided to pop out to the Nismo factory in Omori (http://www.nismo.co.jp/shop/shop/omori/index.html). Getting There I checked out the map on the website and the JR map and caught a train to the Shinagawa station (Yamanote line, 30 minutes from Tokyo station) and changed for the local line to Omorikaigan station (not a JR station). Leave the platform and take the exit to the left, this is the street the Omori factory is on (that was easy!). Cross the footbridge and head towards the tollboths. You'll pass this sign. Walk for 5 minutes and you'll be there. This is the first you'll see of the place. If you're lucky a nice GTR will be parked out the front. This is a customers car in this photo. He was coming in for a service or something. Of course if your not so lucky it will be closed the day you turn up. Like it was for me. The place was actually closed for visitors the day I turned up... I was very disheartened so I went for a wander around the back and found this immaculate R32 GTR: I also snuck a photo into the Nismo warehouse... Lots of nice bits of racecars in there. Probably mostly historic, would've loved to take some home. Eventually we chatted to some guys with Nismo jumpers on and told them the whole sob story about how we had come from Australia and had made our way all the way from Soga to Omori to see the Nismo stuff and it was closed and they were so friendly to us. They let us inside and said we could take photos. Turns out today was the day they were putting the new Fairlady Z S-tune GT into the showroom so they let us stay and take photos. So anyway heres the Pennzoil R33: Then they stuck this bad boy on a truck ... ... and backed the truck up to the showroom ... ... and drove it onto the showroom floor ... ... where i took more photos of it ... ... After which i proceeded to spend loads of money on Nismo junk and take a bunch of free brochures. It was a pretty fun day and the Nismo guys and gals were so nice to us. Anyway thanks. If anyone wants any of the photos in full size (6.4mp, 3000x2000 res) let me know...
  15. I was just trying to give an indication on how much theyre going for retail in Japan second hand.
  16. the HICAS light is a fault indicator light. If it's on it means there are problems. The most common cause i believe is low power steering fluid. Check your PS resevoir.
  17. air bags? are you nuts... buy a soarer if you want to float around!
  18. It was a factory option (remote keyless entry). The best way to tell is to remove the drivers door trim (three screws down the bottom, one screw inside the drivers arm rest pocket). Behind it if you have a small black box with an obvious antenna looking thing then you have remote central locking. You will need to go to Nissan to get a replacement remote and it will be quite expensive and of questionable worth since most aftermarket alarms do the same. I have seen this factory options in cars from 1995 onward. Was probably an option from 1993 though just not 100% sure.
  19. saw a second hand RB25DET PFC + HC at Up Garage for 78,000yen ($980AUD)
  20. at $2000 it took Mack a very long time to sell them. I would say it depends on how fast you want them gone. $1800 will see them gone a bit quicker but if you hold out you may eventually find someone to pay $2000.
  21. You have the brochure? Cool can you scan it in? I have a scan of it but its too small to read the specifications and fine print.
  22. Plates for sale, they are currently on my girlfriends Mazda 323 that we bought from CerealKiller on these forums. Good for your 92 model GTS-t don't really suit a Mazda :D Plates are cut/bent to fit a R32 GTS-t as they came like this from a couple of owners ago. Looking for $500 PM me here or SMS 0438 585 420 if your interested.
  23. The Autech R32 "26" was a bit of a fizzer in my opinion. It was a pretty boring looking R32 with less power than the GTS-t Type M at almost twice the price new. They were also all autos. Not everything Autech does is gold. They also produced the R32 "Driving School Sports Sedan" version which was about as base model as it gets.
  24. Up Garage sell second hand parts. Hiring a car in Japan is a great way to get around the places where train travel is hard, all rental cars come with satellite navigation these days in Japan. Even my cheapest-you-can-get Nissan Rent-a-car March had Sat-Nav and it makes it so easy to get places. You need to read Japanese to use it though. So for you, trains are pretty much it. The JR pass is by far the best way to do it. A two week ordinary JR pass cost me $565 AUD and it saved me about $500AUD on trains in just two weeks. Thats right i wouldve spent about $1000AUD on trains if i didnt have the pass! $700 of that was Shinkansen but the rest was just train commutes to and from places in/around Tokyo.
