  1. i noticed the same as I was watching Iron Chef the other day..... That show is great I just wish it was subtitled and not dubbed... but the dubbing does provide half the entertainment.. F UKU-SAN!!!!
  2. Yeah but its a W16 so 4 turbos makes more sense than this. Looks like an engineering nightmare but it would sound the goods
  3. How about, if money is tight, Falken 451's. Theyre about the cheapest I would go and say 245/35/R18 all round shouldn't be more than $270 per tyre. Theyre pretty decent for a cheap tyre and it will give you time to save up for your next set of better tyres.
  4. yeah pretty typical. I went shopping at the Nismo factory in Omori recently and paid a lot less than retail prices over here for bits and pieces. There are a lot of guys in Japan who could probably help you out if you really wanted the Nismo stuff though.
  5. Some poor person will buy it though. Both of these cars the 36k one and the 60k one. It's a shame these guys exist.
  6. Go to JustJap or another import parts wrecker and ask. Tell them what your trying to do and I bet they will be happy to oblige. Especially Just Jap if you're a donator to the forums or a member of SAU NSW (hint hint) .
  7. I got a Nismo ECR33 strut brace recently with a brake master cylinder brace attached for about $80 at an Upgarage in Japan. Whats the best way to set one of these up? Tight against the master cylinder or what? I've just done it up so its resting there at the moment without vibrating... I had never seen one before I got this one.
  8. I have always removed the -'ve first for the same reason as Ferni. For example to reset the ECU you would remove the -'ve lead, pump the brake pedal and reconnect the -'ve.
  9. I left mine in for sentimental reasons and just hooked the solenoid signal up to +12v (ACC) so its permanantly open while the car is on. Boost restrictions before 5000 are gone. Been running like this for a long time with no ill effects.
  10. yep that would be my next suggestion too. leaking intercooler pipe due to clamp not done up properly or something.
  11. We should ask some of the Japanese R33 owners what happens when they open the fuel cap.
  12. yeah the headlights do suck. and they are so damn difficult to open that its almost not worth it to clean the inside, then resealing them is difficult. bit more expensive to buy new ones over here though i suspect... send me your old ones
  13. Italian roads > *.roads
  14. No they didn't but Autech built an RB26DE 4 door R32 that was only released in auto transmission. No turbo no care though.
  15. Why cant you get finance for an import? A used car is a used car to banks. At least that's what my experience is. Get a SR20DE siliva or 180sx.
  16. yeah i would say they either didnt connect your AFM back at all, or they didnt connect it properly or it is broken. What RPM does it cut out?
  17. They had one at the Sydney motor show and it was attracting all sorts of people. Mainly due to its joke factor. Worst attempt to sell a car ever.
  18. About the most I know about Saturn is that a good deal of their cars use plastic panels (like door skins etc) to save costs. Good for your supermarket car park fender benders I suppose. A friend of mine in the US had a saturn and f'ing hated it. The build quality seemed fairly poor. Not that this has anything to do, or is related in any way, to the 7 second saturn which i doubt has plastic panels.
  19. Sounds spooky... but he's probably right they might be tricky and if the lubricant trick works you could save yourself a hundred or so in labour costs. Probably worth taking his word for it for now and if he still has trouble next week take it to someone else for a second opinion.
  20. Hey i agree with you which is why I changed my mind.
  21. i agree Yusuf, im just going to leave this to you guys... ive removed all my input so feel free to chat about it all you like...
  22. sure thing pal.
  23. Man all the kids are out today. This place is feeling like the Fast Fours forums more and more every day.
  24. Hey yeah why dont we all just post a bunch of crap and clutter up the main forums when the answers are already here all you have to do is search? And why do we even bother having a maintenance forum which is specifically for the discussion of maintaining the skyline when you arent going to use it??? In my opinion if you want to take part in the forums you could at least show a little ettiquete and post in the right place and avoid wasting bandwidth with repeated questions. Then if someone posts some pointers on where to find the information you need, maybe you should take note of the advice and look there. Honestly you people who think the internet and forums such as this are here to serve you and answer all your questions without you putting in the slightest bit of effort REALLY annoy me.
