Yeah that's what I am doing next week. Just thought I would give it another try. If I was able to get one locally then it would be great. Otherwise it's off to Japan... big adventure ... lots of waiting .. nail biting good times! heh ... oh well.

Still looking for a good R34 GTR. Ready to buy. Anyone know any for sale?
  6. buy an 82 laser
  7. He bought a couple of elderly turbo cars, drove them like a ****stick and wonders why they broke on him.
  8. Don't bother lowering yourself to their level.
  9. id say 98% of R33 owners leave HICAS in its factory, working, state. It does too little to warrant spending money on installing lock bars, or removing things. I drove my R33 for more than a year and hardly ever notice the damn thing.
  10. I wish someone had told me about investing in property when I was younger. These days property is a bit tougher to buy into at the start. Then again, I dont really mind never owning lots of property though, dont plan to make my fortune that way, have enough locked away in some investments for a house deposit and now im buying the R34 GTR i've dreamt about for the past year and a half. I just need to find the bloody thing!
  11. Heh. The HICAS in the R33 is electric so It cannot possibly be for that. The R32 had hydraulic HICAS.
  12. Nice site though.
  13. I agree that with those mods it is worth in excess of 85k. Is there any chance he could put it back to stock for sale at a lower price though? He could probably recover more cash selling the parts seperately.
  14. Do you have any others, say a blue 1999 ?
  15. I believe they are different from the standard GTR diff and closer to the GTR V-Spec diff. The A-LSD is exactly that, Active LSD. It uses sensors and a computer controller to control the rear differential. Here's a diagram:
  16. I'd say the N1 definately not and then the others are going to be random depending on what the original owner specified when they bought it from nissan
  17. Sounds pretty normal. Wouldnt worry.
  18. Yep they very often advertise the exact same cars. Although J-Spec are often a couple minutes to hours quicker to get the e-mails out.
  19. Dude, it's V35 not R35. There is no such thing as an R35. My opinion though, I would buy one if Nissan Australia sold them.
  20. That car is not particularly cheap at 3.5million yen. White GTR's look awesome when (and only when): - Full Nismo body kit - White LMGT4's or similar Look how much better this car looks to that one on J-Spec:
  21. I have done this. There is no real shortcut to getting the rubber piping off. It's hard but you just have to use brute strength while twisting it a little. Good mod this one, the GTt intercooler is far superior to the R33 item.
  22. Sounds like boost cut to me. How are you measuring boost? Boost cut happens at about 10psi or a bit over. The symptoms match pretty much exactly what you described. You could get a boost cut defender but you're better off getting a full ECU replacement.
  23. I dont think you can turn the boost to 0 but you can modify the stock boost solenoid to never open so it will maintain 5psi max boost. Just unplug the solenoid from the power and you will have 5psi max.

Thanks for the reply. The J-Spec one sold pretty quickly. It seemed a bit of a bargain. Will check that firesport one out for sure though. Thanks!
