  1. I'll let you know - I have a problem though - I am waiting for my original B/L to arrive. You need this to be mailed from your supplier before the car can be released from the dock. My supplier did not mail it until Monday so that will cause me delay of a couple of days probably. My car has actually completed customs and quarantine. It did so in 2 days - I could pick it up today if the B/L was here.
  2. but you could adapt it to fit for $300 at any exhaust shop. They will just cut the muffler, resonator(s), and cat if any off and custom weld new mandrel bends in. Or you could just go buy a hiflow cat and muffler and get the rest custom made for the same $300 price.
  3. Im sure sony make a headunit that can take memory sticks. Too bad memory sticks suck.
  4. No. Unless you're shipping with Kiwi line or took out insurance yourself. In fact if the boat sinks there is a good chance you will be up for more money since you may have to pay a portion of the salvage costs. Dont worry though. Boats are pretty safe.
  5. Dude that's so not good to say that here. That's like yelling "BOMB" at the airport! :freak:
  6. My NYK ship was due to dock on the 25/9 and it docked this morning instead - 27/9. 1 or 2 extra days aint too bad. Car going thru customs/quarantine now.
  7. They have HICAS.
  8. I was doing this with my the old GTSt. I had run into a problem where the headunit needed that special CD Changer to Line-In adaptor and I had to order it from JVC. It took more than 4 months to arrive and by the time it did arrive I had sold the car. The adaptor cost 100 bucks by the way. Anyway for the GTR I will buy a headunit with RCA inputs.
  9. And heres the thread including exact instructions on how to get there... Im so glad i wrote this down because ive forgotten it. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...to+thread+omori
  10. Omori factory is very easy to get to from Tokyo but obviously Narita is a fair ways away. There is a local train line with a Omori station which is practically accross the road from the factory. I actually made a photo thread on how to get there.
  11. Gtr.

  13. Hi-res version here: http://www.nissannews.com/multimedia/nd_50...ne_gt-r_r34.jpg
  14. oops thought you said filter. AFM cleaning is best done with Eletrical Contact cleaner. You can pickup a can at Dick Smith.
  15. The stock ECU connects to a pressure sensor which sends it the current boost pressure. Unless you have somehow removed this sensor - which is unlikely - then the computer will know how much boost you are running. If this sensor is removed completely i believe it would run in limp home mode or at least run very poorly. The sensor is a small black box with an air hose connected to it from the rear of the plenum. The problem probably is the stock ECU seeing too much boost (around 10 or so psi) so it retards timing and runs rich to protect the engine. There are probably piggyback systems like the SAFC that can fix and get around this but I have never used them. When i found I was having this problem after an intercooler upgrade - i went straight to the PowerFC.
  16. Geezus - just buy an NA Silvia if your so keen to get into the import scene. Then in a few years graduate to a nice turbo car.
  17. Rear fenders dont get replaced for no reason. Replacing the rear fender is not a simple job and if you can still see evidence of it it probably means it was a dodgy job.
  18. There is no secret way. You just have to go to the DOTARS website, find out who can comply the model you want, and call around and bargain them down. Search from here: http://raws.dotars.gov.au/rawswebpublic/RA...AWPubSearch.asp
  19. I wouldnt pay much more than 15k. This is an accident damaged early model car, from a smoker, completely stock. In fact i wouldnt buy it at all.
  20. Nice one.
  21. Stock ECU? Then its probably the boost cut.
  22. The best way to tell if the car is a V-Spec from the factory is to get the VIN number and run it through Nissan FAST dealership software (a few guys on the forums have it). That would give the definitive answer. V-Spec should start at about $40,000 and go up.
  23. Look at the TPS. On series one you have a blanking plug in one of the sockets but on Series 2 you have them both cabled. There are other differences but that one was obvious in the first pic.
  24. Underneath the car, engine bay and sometimes inside the car. All depends on the cars condition and how dirty it is.
  25. Spotted a white 4 door Series 2 GTS25t R33 today. Dont see too many 4 door series 2's around in Australia. Was on Julius Ave in North Ryde.
