  1. Hey guys, I have sold my Skyline so its time to upgrade. Looking for a stock or close to stock R34 GTR. I know they aren't exactly easy to find but i thought I would try my luck. - 1999 onwards - Standard or V-Spec - No accident history - Blue, Black or Silver Please let me know if you're selling one, know someone who's selling one, saw one in the paper/trading post/whatever. Would travel anywhere in Australia for the right car. Thanks Kris
  2. From page: "Fixed digital speed cameras have the capacity to measure speed in both directions."
  3. Sorry dude, in NSW this is what the RTA has to say about them: http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/roadsafety/speed...ameraswork.html
  4. Could be to do with your driving style or the softness of the compound. If the tread wear is uneven it could be a sign of misalignment or improper inflation. Take it to a place that can do alignments for 4ws cars.
  5. I have the Nismo V35, 350z and R34 GTR brochures at home which details it. For the R34 GTR Nismo say 400ps for S-tune and 450ps for R-tune (i think, will confirm later). I will bring them in and scan them.
  6. Nah they can't do that at the moment. There is a bit of politics involved in making that happen which seems like too much of an effort for them. The problem lies in if you want to rent a car and have too many unpaid fines they may deny it, or if you get pulled over you might have some issues.
  7. Dont own one but i've been in a G35 and it went pretty hard. Would definately pimp one if they were available here.
  8. hahah is that all you got? I got done for doing 140 in a 100 zone in my rental Echo on some massive open stretch of straight road in the absoloute middle of f'ing nowhere on South Island. Let me tell you 140 in a 1.3 litre echo is not easy. The fine was $450NZD. I ignored it for a few months until i was feeling a bit guilty so i ended up paying it via their website http://www.fines.govt.nz/ . Basically the process goes like this. You have 28 days from the notice to pay the fine, if you dont pay it you get 28 more days, then it goes to court and they tack on another $30 for court fees and send it the Collections Business Unit. Once it goes to collections you can then pay it over the internet at http://www.fines.govt.nz/ That was the easiest way to deal with it... If you never plan on going back to NZ then dont pay it.

    A sad day

I am planning on upgrading in the near future to something else. The GTSt is a great car, even after 11 years its still going well strong. It was just time to move on.
  11. Well I sold my car today from an ad in carsales.com.au. Only advertised it for a week and a half and its already on it's way to it's new owners home. Had a few interested buyers from that website so I definately recommend it. Always helps to have as many high-res photo's as you can I think. Catching the bus is going to suck tonight.
  12. Where did you buy them from? I'm keen to get a R34 GTR brochure. I have the R34 GTR Nismo brochures but would like to buy the Nissan one. I bought my R33 Series 2 and R33 GTR brochures at Super Autobacs at Tokyo bay so cant really go back to get more...
  13. The way any importer worth dealing with works is that they do all the accident-history inspections in Japan before the car leaves. Like mentioned above, the RAWs should be able to gaurantee compliance before the car is shipped from Japan or you are wasting everyone's time and money.
  14. thanks but no thanks :spamcan:
  15. Hey dude, I have the R33 Series 2 brochure. Might translate that one as well. An archive of these would be cool.
  16. Thrust is actually Northshore Prestige. Thrust Pty Ltd trading as Northshore Prestige.
  17. As Tony said. The guy i go to doesn't fail me unless it's something stupid like bald tyres. Helps that he is into imports himself.
  18. Those UK folk are crazy for putting stickers where they don't belong. Would suprise me though if someone actually based a purchasing decision on the stickers at the back of the car.
  19. Didn't we already have this thread about a week or so ago. Oh well. For anyone else who wants to post this thread again in the future, here's a template you can just copy and paste:
  20. upgrade ... to that? teehee
  21. Probably, but would you spend $2k on headlights for a NA R33? Better off saving your cash.
  22. FAST is the nissan dealership software with a database of every Nissan made from 1979 on. If you can get the VIN number from the blue plate in the engine bay and post it we would be able to find out all sorts of info about the car from FAST. Many of us here have the FAST software now since copies have been floating around lately.
  23. Sounds too cheap, probably damaged somehow. Although a decently modified R34 GTR V-Spec II Nur just sold for just over $78k at auction in japan.... food for thought.
  24. I did mine myself, the only hard part was determining which ignition wire did what. You simply use a test light on the ignition wiring harness though and it takes 10 mins max. Once you've figured out which color does what, you can splice into it any way you want. The handbrake wire is obviously wired up to the handbrake and only requires removing the gear stick surround to find and tap into. Its an hours work for someone with some electrical experience.
