  1. From memory 2Rsimo did a 11.98 Doughboy did a 12.06 Sam did a 12.9 something I did a 13.11 something Matt did a 13.4 something Don't quote me on that - but I think I am close. Here's me (disapointing) R/T = .479 60' = 2.528 330' = 6.113 660' = 8.872 mph = 91.66 1000' = 11.178 ET = 13.118 MPH = 116.89 Km/h = 188.12
  2. Yeah - I SUCK at getting off the line - It's much harder that you think hey. If I give it too much, I seem to either wheelspin, back off and bog down - or the clutch slips (yeah still slipping on high boost) That run was on low boost - high boost is slower (13.6) MPH is 117 - I'm sure it is all driver related though..... I was a bit disapointed to be honest - but hey practice make perfect
  3. Hi Matthew - I have sent you a PM - Thanks for the opportunity to give you some feedback - please take it as constructive. Apologies for my in-appropriate response to your post above - Good luck with the day.
  4. Damn - just read this..... Hope everyone had fun. Did Moanie get her gear off ?? ha ha just kidding
  5. GTR700 did a 8.22
  6. Well Ben - you can add my very ordinary effort of tonight. R/T = .479 60' = 2.528 330' = 6.113 660' = 8.872 mph = 91.66 1000' = 11.178 ET = 13.118 MPH = 116.89 Km/h = 188.12 Must be able to do better then that - me thinks the driver needs more practice. I'll scan the timeslip later - but you saw it.
  7. Glad you got it sorted Chris - I wasn't meaning to compare as if to compete mate - Just curious on the power curves that's all. I find it really interesting looking at Dyno graphs - especially when boost and rpm are plotted - it really makes you think about stuff.
  8. Matt - the rears.. well they spin ... I'm getting the hang of ....WOT, back off, then WOT again - to keep traction (even with semi slicks) Roy - I did have that graph, but no longer - I can get another print out but I did keep the numbers: Boost starts at 3000 3500 = 5 PSI and 80 rwkw 4000 = 8 PSI and 112 rwkw 4500 = 20 PSI and 200rwkw 5000 = 23 PSI and 260 rwkw 5500 = 22.5 PSI and 270 rwkw 6000 = 22 PSI and 310 rwkw 6500 = 21 PSI and 323 rwkw
  9. Man - I just sat down for 1/2 and hour comparing Chris' to mine and I came out of my thinking with more questions than I first came in with - I need to gather my thoughts etc before I go asking questions - But we have very similar setups amd here is mine... You don't seem to get the big kick that i get - but top end is not that much different - but when I look at the rev range - I seem to get more down low... Interesting.....
  10. nah - it's cool mate, I'll wait for the points and whore like a bitch Just kidding. Welcome back dude
  11. WSID would have a lead time to book..... So... say WSID needed payment in full 2 months before the day, SAU would need 120% comittment 2 months before the event. It would take maybe 2-3 months to gather the momentum and full / non refundable deposits. So that means that you need to comit with "$$" 4-5 monts ahead of the day - With no guarantee of the weather and what other plans pop up for you - etc If SAU didn't get the $4K , 2 months before the day - they would need to renig to WSID. So - the real question is - Would you put $100-150 large on the table 5 months before the event ?? If we get 50 ppl that say yes and put the folding forward then it could happen
  12. Dude - I suggest you delete the post before the moderators see this - SAU owmers and admins keep it clean in here OK -
  13. I'm no expert OK. It actually could have been a melted cat - you know about that story I think SK When I increase boost from 14PSI to 18PSI with the hi flow - no change in power, my feeling is that is turbo related - rear housing or wastegate or exhaust. Boost guage reads more boost - so plenum pressure is increased so the air is getting in there. I have the exact same exhaust system bar a (very) high flow cat - so I know the turbo back zorst was OK (but like I said before - could have been cat) Not much else has changed up top except for cams and turbo and now getting 330+ and boost now is 18-21PSI. So the turbo in my books was (one of) my problems. There were a number of other factors involved / changed - but that was my feeling - I was changing too many things at once to know for sure. I *thought* that the hi flow efficiency topped out at about the 14-15 PSI mark - but could be wrong. I have had two turbos from GCG now and both have not met my expectations. That's why I have an HKS Turbo now What is fact is that I had an GCG 3040/VG30 hybrid with GCG manifold and 250 rwkw - Exacty the same setup but swap the turbo and manifold with the HKS manifold and turbo - 330+ rwkw - 300-500 rpm more lag tho. (which is fine with me) So there you go - could have been anything (pitch of turbine blades included) Who knows ????
  14. Hmmmmm is this the Chilli that JayPee keeps talking about ?
  15. Nice one Chris - tomorrow is going to be in interesting day
  16. Adrian, can I use your new wheels and tyres when I beat you in qualifying and get into the finals ???? ha ha ha ha ha ha Just kidding
  17. Brett - If I don't crack a 12 on my first two runs I'll give the keys to you mate ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha Jeez i'm a teeza
  18. Brett - If I don't crack a 12 on my first two runs I'll give the keys to you mate ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha Jeez i'm a teeza
  19. Whats point is spending that much $$ on your car if you don't use it ?
  20. Yeah I know WSID can do way quicker than 3 mins per car - I assumed we would need to organise and be crap at it. 30 cars is more achievable yeah - price goes up obviously. Anyway - let the interest begin
  21. Nothing - I'm impressed
  22. You know what - this is my theory....... There are Very Good ECUs, good ECUs and Ordinary ECUs - Also there are Very Good Tuners, OK Tuners and Bad Tuners Try going with a Good ECU and a Very Good Tuner and you will be OK What I am trying to say is that the type of ECU is not the only consideration. I would assume that Very Good ECUs are out of your budget - ie Motec, Autronic. PFC Pro doesn't need AFMs , I understand I use Microtech - and have not had one problem with it - LTX-12 - Good Fuel consumption - good cold start & idle control - and a few more little extras too.
  23. Fixed BTW - I think it is a great idea if we can make it work
  24. But like Merli says - the biggest problem is getting 50 comittments.
  25. $4k is pretty reasonable - is that for 8 hours ? SAU-NSW has close to 100 members If 50% of them were interested - lets say 50 cars (inlcuding new members and ring ins) Charge $100 each for the day - club gets $1000 profit (prolly go into organisation of the event) 8 hours of fun @ say 20 runs per hour (one run every 3 mins) - thats 40 cars per hour Over 8 hours thats 320 individual runs - lets round it down to 300 cause fatz & adrian will do 10 minute burnouts. That's 6 runs each over the day. There is merit there... What are the regulations etc ??
