  1. Possibly too much pressure i'd say. I have given the stockkie turb a whooping at times Well i raced a V6 Commodore up Parramatta Rd and the M4 yesterday (going west from Sydney) and yes i molested it with my 33 but i would usually have pulled away easier I did my bit guys, don't worry, at the lights where you turn off Parra Rd and it merges into the M4 i asked if his car was worked and he replied, "I was thinking about getting a Skyline mate...they go haaaaarrrrd!" "Yes, they do ", I replied. And then all he saw was four round tail lights zoom into the distance...
  2. Don't worry mate we're usually all strangers when we meet, and mates by the end of the day Nah i reckon ANY performance car is welcome on these cruises, keeping the Skyline theme is also good but not essential, so don't feel bad (pssst...ur 350Z is better looking than all our cars bro ) U can count all the "i'm in" replies, i reckon at least 10 or more will rock up. Last cruise Assasin organised we had 11 cars.
  3. Hahahaha what u said...and that pic....hahahaha what a poet
  4. November cruise? Isn't the Gong this month? And in Nov there's the Sydney cruise...am i missing another cruise? Hahahahahaha
  5. So you just sanded the rocker cover and it came up like that? Mine looks dull beige So i can go from this, to what you did? That'll look great if i can!
  6. Yeh we'll definitely get de-tuned GT-R's. Look at the Silvia vs. 200SX power figures . That's why we re-tune them Hey what about that 2 year importing rule? I thought the car had to be 2 years old to be imported second-hand. Is this not the case? Hahahahahahahahaha That's the funniest sh!t hahahaha I can totally imagine that happening which is depressing Hey after five years (and by then we should all be richer) the price of a second-hand GT-R won't be THAT extravagant. I'll be getting one for sure. Until then it's gonna have to be an R34 GT-R unfortunately...
  7. Similar story with me (you'll be able to see my post 'Leaking boost charge') I can't find any leaks but the boost isn't coming on like it used to. I'm not sure what it is, whether it's the turbo (wastegate), intercooler (highly doubt it), exhaust (doubt it too). What would a mechanic check for if he was at this stage? After a compression test, would he take apart the exhaust to look for evidence? Would he take apart the wastegate?
  8. Ok i've taken off the boost controller, checked if the ball bearing was stuck (was fine) and put it back. I also checked the intercooler plumbing and tugged around the piping to see if there was too much movement (fine) and all the clamps where on (fine). I took it for a thrash and i noticed it HOLDS boost, it was running 11psi and held it, so thats good. BUT it isn't as responsive low down (it lags a little more) and used to launch when i floored it, but doesn't 'launch' anymore. It also doesn't climb the rev-band as fast as before. It really gives up at 6000rpm. The (factory) wastegate also isn't as loud; it doesn't spit as much air as before. ONE MORE THING - tracing this problem, i FIRST noticed it when i went on an SAU cruise and i was gunning it repeatedly. Toward the end of the day i noticed the boost wasn't KICKING IN and it was sluggish, and appeared to be leaking boost. Have i damaged something? Or is there something i'm missing?
  9. Hahahahaah :laughing-smiley-014: What a legend
  10. That's reason enough for me
  11. If anyone wants to complain about a good cruise idea...organise ur own
  12. How can any Sydney road with a max speed limit of 110km/h test the capacity of a car that can do 240km/h with the speed limiter removed? Ur not making sense mate. It's not about power sliding around every corner; it's about cruising as mates, showing off our nice imports and doing it through some of the nicest roads in the city we all live in! +1
  13. Bunch of pansy whingers... Excellent idea, let's do it for Sydney! I'm there 100% and we need to rally some support for the Skylines - i'm getting sick of all these ugly WRXboxes with exhausts that sound like me gargling listerine! This cruise takes us through the best that Sydney has to offer. It's gonna be a good one. Let's end the Fat Pizza reign of terror
  14. VL's are technically the Skyline's older brother (and a little slower haha). Family should stick together
  15. Thanks guys i'll set it to '3 H 3' i guess and see if that helps. I guess if it's going way too high i'll leave it in manual mode. Cheers
  16. Personally i reckon with a little patience you can just go for an R33. I waited SIX months from when i wanted one til when i bought it. In that time i researched EVERYTHING about them, saved 10 G's cash, got price estimates for the car + insurance + transfering rego etc etc. I also attempted importing. I ended up with a neat R33 for a few grand more than what u wanna spend and it's NEWER than an R32, more POWERFUL than an R32 and arguably BETTER LOOKING too. Also it's mechanically newer and that's important repair-cost wise. My 2c is wait a little longer and get a better car (though not to bag the excellent R32) that you can keep for a while longer and really enjoy. Good luck
  17. Owning a GTR is like being part of history. Nuf sed
  18. R32, 200sx, 180sx for 10K. All good cars. 14-15K will get you a good turbo R33
  19. When i set the timer to give me an O2 readout the numbers just go up and down (it climbs up and then begins at the first number again) while i'm idling. Is it working then?
  20. If you have the cash get an R33 GTR and you're less likely to need as many repairs! Going a GTR is a good idea, of course, but the 32's are so old now you're guaranteed to have a worn example. Unless you can replace worn components yourself it's gonna cost a sh!tload when the clutch/gearbox/suspension/engine internals go. If you get an inspection and it's all clear, go hard. But i reckon spent a little more on a newer model ('93 R32 GTR) if you're determined.
  21. Crap i'm not bothered to go get an O2 sensor cable wired in...just make do with manual autotiming for now. If anyone suggets a way to do it that's easy enough for a dope like me then give some advice
  22. Manual. I ain't lettin no cogs control my gear changes Also chicks tell me they like to watch a guy change gears. Not sure how that came about, but maybe is in the same vein as a cowboy riding a horse. Those cowbitches eat that sh!t up
  23. Yeh i notice on my RB25 the good mid-range torque, and then it drops off considerably after 6000rpm. Guess it has it's bonuses compared with VVT and the high-range power abilities of the Honda system. Would be good if NVCS worked throughout the entire rev range though...
  24. But it' not 'good' either. It's uneconomical, dirties the spark plugs and the cat too. Best to keep boost down a little or get a retune.
  25. Ok i did that, but when i turn the engine off it only counts down from 10secs! It doesn't change time automatically. I checked the manual from the A'pexi site, and my guess is that my timer isn't wired up properly to the ECU, to monitor how long the engine needs to idle based on A/F ratios or some sh!t. WHat's up with this?
