  1. Oooo sorry just realised you said german sedans. If that's the case, look at the E46 330i sedans....
  2. Have you looked at the E46 model BMW's 2000 onwards? I would suggest looking at a 2000-2002 BMW 330Ci. 3 litre in-line six, great on fuel, 230bhp @ the flywheel, leather, sat nav, tv, bi-xenon headlamps. And in the eastern states you can pick one up for around the $30,000 mark in immaculate condition. AND, contrary to popular thought, they are not that expensive to own or service. I've owned one and so does my brother. They are a cheap car the maintain. Just some food for thought
  3. I've got an R32 GTR intercooler in good condition you can have for $200. PM me if interested.
  4. r35 stagea is hot. R34.5 just looks incredibly gay
  5. Lol why is your oil pressure gauge reading almost 6kg/cm squared??
  6. If not paid within 28days, you get a final demand notice for the fine + $13.50. If that total amount is still not paid within 28days, it is then referred to the Fines Enforcement Registry. If not dealt with through FER within a further 28days, FER can place a driver's licence and/or vehicle registration under fines suspension for non-payment of fines. So in short, pay on time
  7. Dont waste your time with body kits or any of that crap. Buy some decent street coilover suspension (No, coilovers are NOT illegal at all), and with regards to window tinting, don't get Midnight Express. Bloody expensive for what it is. Tint-a-car charged me $260 to rip my old tints off my BMW and do a 20% all round. With regards to headlights, you can get HID headlights, however anything above 4000K temperature is illegal. However, I have 6000K HID's in my R34 and they look nice, and i have never been bothered by the police.
  8. When I went to the AHG Skidpan course when I first got my R33 Skyline last year, the instructor told me; "If you come into a corner and you start to oversteer, NEVER touch the break, as it will un-settle the whole car by shifting the weight to the front. Simply take your foot off the accel/brake pedal, straighten the car up and then put your foot on either the break/accel pedal after." I have been in that situation in both the wet and dry in my Skyline where I have put my foot down a little too much and if you ever hit the break while oversteering you will un-settle the whole car. What you will find in that situation is the car will "flick" back the other way. Obviously, your natural reaction is to hit the break, but sometimes it isn't the best thing to do. LOL La Bomba, what did you think was going to happen if you put your foot down at ~50kp/h? It would stay in 4th gear? Of course it would drop back to 2nd and the rear wheels would spin. Save your money and book yourself in for a day on a skidpan so you can learn how to handle & drive your car properly in all conditions. Trust me, it's well worth the money
  9. I used a series of fine grit sandpapers soaked in warm water, sanded the outside of the headlights, then soaked the headlights in a thick thich coat of plastic polish and they come up like brand new.
  10. Actually getting 675KM's to 55L just puts into perspective how good the fuel economy of my previous BMW is. That was a 2.5L straight 6, 5-speed manual and my driving was fairly "spirited", and i was getting 750+KM's to 62L of fuel in city driving. f**k those BMW's are amazing on fuel.
  11. When i took my old R33 over the pits last year, i never had to do IM240 or 5gas and it went over with a straight through exhaust LOL
  12. Only Dept of Transport inspection centres within the Perth metro area can remove yellow stickers (or work orders as they are correctly known). In rural/country areas, Authorised Inspection Stations (AIS) exist. The AIS are able to perform vehicle inspctions for registration, removal of work orders etc on behalf of the DoT.
  13. Well i tried
  14. What kind of Hp can you achieve with this turbo and supporting mods (power fc, ebc, fmic, exhaust, etc)??
  15. Lol my R34 has third party fire & theft and I pay $175.00 per anum

  17. Hi all, First of all, mods please do not close this thread as I would like this answered asap. Cheers. First of all, the Northbridge tunnel has traffic cameras used to monitor the flow of traffic, and they CAN get the speed of any car within the sights of the camera/s. Basically, if you are doing excessive speeds through the tunnel, let's say 60km/h+ over the speed limit of 80km/h, can Main Roads WA refer this footage to the West Australian Police, and can the WAPOL use this footage to either issue a traffic infringement or impound a car under the current hoon legislation? The reason I ask this question is because a person I know asked me if this is possible (due to where I work, they thought I may know the answer). Now, as most of you are aware, a few months ago, the new speed/red-light cameras were implemented within WA and as far as I am aware, new legislation was passed with regards to the speed/red-light cameras? Simply put, if you are doing excessive speeds through the Northbridge tunnel, can the West Australia Police confiscate your car under hoon laws? Cheers, Jace. P.S. This isn't a topic about hoon discussion, it's just a question I'd like answered as I am quite curious about it.
  18. Give us a break. You're telling me this kid has come to SAU in search of advice on buying a Japanese Import becuase he has a passion for these cars, because he wants to take good care of it and and drive like a responsible person ALL THE TIME? Because he wants to enjoy driving his vehicle with-in the bounds of the laws at all times? I think not, as that has already been proved when he said he wouldn't go to a legal environment (i.e., racetrack) to drift/race etc. Half of the people on this whole forum don't care for their cars at all. I've seen so many Skylines/Silvias/Chasers/Supras etc which are complete and utter dogs. At least there are some people still around that get into one of these cars because they have a passion for them, not because they want to look cool and "i want to hear the blow-off valve and blow flames". And you know what, I can safely say I am one of people who own a Jap Import and actually take care for my care and don't simply thrash the shit out of it without regards for anyone else. Grow up.
  19. LOL i havn't even read this whole thread, and frankly, I'm not going to. You seem like a complete and utter moron who wants to buy and import for all the wrong reasons. Firstly, if you want to buy an import so you look cool and awesome and fully sick infront of your friends and the chicks, then you must have your head stuck so far up your ass. Secondly, us Japanese Car Enthusiasts do not buy these cars so we can go drifiting on the street. Sure, it's fun to watch those videos and all, but we buy these cars to enjoy driving them. I brought my R34 GTT because I like the look of them, I appreciate the car it is, and sure, I occassionally put my foot down, but I never do anything which would or could be considered hoon behaviour or anything that may cause danger to other road users/myself. You need to re-evaluate your situation, because if you want a Japanese Import so you can look fully-hektik-uleh, then, excuse my language, but you're a f**king idiot.
