  1. YOKOHAMA ADVAN RACING TC2 RIMS FOR SALE 18 x 10.5 x 25+ PCD 114.3 (GTR Fitment) These awesome rims are basically brand new and have only been used for Dyno run in and tune and put on my car to ship it to Oz and are in Excellent condition. Great lightweight street rim and highly sought after rim for the track. These are pretty much not available anymore from Yokohama and I had to pull alot of strings to get hold of these. If you could get your hands on a set your looking at least around $4400 plus landed and then you have the duty on top of that. I'm after $4000 willing to go 50/50 on the delivery or pick up on the Gold Coast. I'll have pics of the rims up in the next day or 2. Heres some pics and pricing from Yokohama Japan site. http://www.yokohamatire.jp/yrc/japan/wheel...largescale.html http://www.yokohamatire.jp/yrc/japan/sitem...rc_tc2_logo.jpg Pics on my car prior to shipping to Oz.
  2. Thanks Aaron...Your making me wonder if I should sell them I just got the first 2 off the car and replaced them with Enkei RPo5's and the Enkeis felt like I was lugging a dea body compared to TC2 flyweights..!!
  3. Cheers Aaron.. Yeah mate they are 10.5"s and real hard to get hold of. I had to ask big favour of a friend at Yokohama to get these. Reason I'm selling is I have a set of TE37 SL's being made up and the TC2's have to make way for them. I have a set of Enkei RPO5's that I was thinking of selling but decided to let the TC2's go first. Definitely a bloody light wheel for its size. Yeah mate you got a not bad deal but look at the difference in rim size. Quite a common size and relatively easy to come by. These puppies are extremely hard to come across hence the price. Have a look at the Yokohama site and check the price differences. Add in freight to Oz and potential import tax and $4000 is pretty fair. Check a few of the import companies and see their price and then see if you can get a set in this size and fitment They look mint on the car and definitely fill the guards. I had to chuck on a set of 18x265x35's tyres on for transport and had to stretch the tyre to fit so the profile looks more like a 25 and so looks like my car is riding high but its running Nismo S Tune suspension so its definitely lowered. A set of 275's on them will look mint !!

  9. Well the majority of teaching in Japan is be a monkey trying to entertain people, the minority is the serious teaching. Most people go there for an experience an not a serious career and thus end up being the mug in the clown suit. Theres countless threads on the Japan foreigner sites debating the whole english teacher status..Yeah theres a few good jobs and perks but again its a minority and with more and more financial streaming of companies and staff ,in japan these jobs are getting less and less. As for real estate its easy as to buy property in Japan and with another year of record low prices adding to the past 15-16 years its cheap as chips. If your after some serious investment, well you will be hard pressed but it is doable. for all the ones struggling with their investments theres a whole bunch of people who have cleaned up. Theres various ways of putting up some incredibly cheap apartments and houses, ...e.g deceased estate auctions and bank foreclosure auctions and if with the Japanese economy going further and further down the toilet theres going to be more and more of these properties on the market and plenty of opportunities to snap up some good investment opportunities if your smart and do your research. The one main thing is your not going to get any financial help from any Japanese institutions or from Oz so your going to have to use your own coin. The CBA were giving loans on properties in Niseko to Australians looking for investment in that area but thats on the back burner until the market place settles down again after the economic crisis.
  10. Thing is the post office will limit your amounts of transactions out of Japan. If you are looking large amounts of coin Citibank or similar is the go or setup a FX account. I dont like using any of the Japan banking systems but have used Citibank for years and have moved lots of coin through for business and no questions asked. Mizuho are pricks.
  11. Its like a fine woman ...you can have the rack but if you dont have that fine arse as well, well it's not the whole package. Its definitely a matter of personal taste. I chose mine as in Japan 32's and 34's seemed more popular and I wanted to be a bit different...well so I thought. Go to a few car shows there and you will see loads of GTR33's. Go for a walk around the car parks at say Nismo festival or HKS Premium Day or the like and you will see some fine examples of 33's. Hell, theres even a few built by some of the top performance shops in Japan and I have bucket loads of Japanese car magazines that show, contrary to that of opinions here, that they were and still are a popular tuning car in Japan. One of my favourites.....photo doesnt do it justice
  12. Citibank Japan is good but you will have to give them your Oz account number when you setup your account. They have internet banking which is setup pretty well, plus you get decent exchange rate. Theres a few others but I found Citibank the easiest for transferring coin domestically and internationally. the only drama is you need to keep 500,000yen in your account otherwise you will incur a monthly fee.

  19. Hi as some of you may know I have brought my car over from Japan as private import. heres the thread http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Hk...il-t246240.html Anyway the car has been complied and now needs the roadworthy and heres the hurdle and where help and advice is needed... Ok as its a new N1 block there was no engine number stamped into in Japan thus I need to get one before I can get a roadworthy certificate. I just spoke to the Dept of transport in QLd and they have said I need to bring it to the RTA Qld to be inspected so they can issue a new engine number and then have it stamped onto the engine, somwehere they can access. So my dilemma is does anyone know how full on will they check the car as its fairly modified , or is this just a quick gander and they see theres no engine number , issue a new number and then the onus is on me to have it to roadworthy condition. Or is it a thorough inspection and I'm screwed and up for bucket load of coin to get it on the road. Is there anyway around all this ?? Any help, ideas and advice would be greatly appreciated and if need be pm Thanks in advance.
  20. Sorry mate I only got a brand new one
  21. Yeah mate Ive got one.. I'll end you a pm tomorrow with price delivered. where would you want it sent so i can work out postage. Cheers Marcus
  22. Thanks mate.. I've actually forgotten about this thread and realised I still have a bunch of pics left including the drive back. Yeah the toll roads are killer on the old wallet. It was around 18,000yen from Sapporo to Tokyo on the Expressway and the same back. Add on a ferry trip from Hakkodate to Aomori and driving around Tokyo's toll roads and yeah it was a bit of coin but good fun. I'll make sure I get round posting up more pics plus got a heap of pics from last years Nismo Festival.
