  1. Well been slack as with updates on this. The car should be if not already in Oz as due date to reach port was 18th July but hell who knows when. Anyway I have some pics that the guys from HKS took themselves during the build so thought I'd load them up.. so here goes... Naprec oversized forged valves and mod work on head Oil return on head Some new parts.. Tomei Head Studs Tomei Oil Gallery Orifice's HKS Metal Head gasket, Step 2 valve springs and extra gaskets and Earls fittings..
  2. No problems..look forward to meeting up next time I'm over..
  3. Jiwoo No problem with pm, shouldnt take long to get your 10 posts !! Very keen to hook up a check the car scene there. I've always known Korea has a import car scene as has have seen quite a few imports around the streets in Seoul. The streets there would be awesome if there was no traffic !! Ok got a question for you... By the looks of it your 32 is right hand drive..so how the heck do you pay the tolls on the expressways. I've seen some toll booths there that have the money booth on both sides that you can throw your coin in but most have the person in the box you have to pay. Do you just lean across or do you have one of those extendable arm gizmo that you hand the money over with or do you just have Hi-pass ? And how the heck do you cope with those traffic jams...does my head in every time. Honestly an average sunday drive from Pusan back to Seoul is just crazy, let alone holiday weekend!! It makes Tokyo traffic jams look like nothing. My wifes family always want to drive to Pusan from Seoul and back when we go visit her mum.. Me, I refuse now and just catch the KTX !! Much more relaxing. Keep the pics coming with your build !!
  4. Hi Jiwoo Mate I bounce over to Seoul and Pusan a fair bit and definitely dont see many Gtr's there !! Did you buy the car there or bring it back with you or import it ? How do you go with the lower octane level over there, a few guys I spoke to say they run Toluene with their fuel when running higher boost. Who is doing your work for you ?? I love the highways and roads over there, they make the japanese highways look like skinny backroads. What I dont like is the insane traffic jams !! Sent you a pm
  5. The only monkeys I know of in Sapporo, let alone Hokkaido, are the mugs teaching english !! Too cold for the real monkeys, they're all in Honshu !!
  6. Mate I'll send you pm with info in the next day or 2
  7. Yes GT-R model specific editions. I'll send you pm with pics and details over the weekend.
  8. I've got 100's of the Japanese magazines in mint condition that I collected over years of living in Japan..for the right price these can be sent to a new home as got loads more still to send over to Oz. GT-R Option Option 2 Hyper Rev RB Tuning World Jap Drag magazines
  9. Mate I know a few guys in Japan that can do it but anything in the 2nd hand ndustrial kitchen equipment market in Japan will be well used but you will pick up gear in good condition. Flick me a pm and I'll fill you in as you may or may not want to go this channel !!
  10. Matt your a Yahoo Auction Whore !! You must spend more time on it than me and I'm on it for a living!
  11. $33,000 odd dollars and its yours !! Had 75,000 odd km's on the clock and interior was pretty mint. At first, it looked a bit weird but it grows on you pretty quick. Would'nt mind one in my garage
  12. Was back in Japan on business and sorting out sending my car to Oz and came across this for sale.. Sorry pics are a bit dark as weather was a shitty day in Toyko
  13. Was driving this in Japan for the last 3 and a bit weeks. Picked it up with only 500km's on the clock, brand spanking new. Feet came as a forced option...e.g the Misso !! Awesome little car..economical, quirky and surprisingly roomy. Lacks power but economy is pretty bloody good. Driving around with aircon on all the time, plus Tokyo city driving..e.g lots for traffic jams and just plain old heavy right foot and was still getting 550km's per tank. The only downside was and I would attribute this to their boxy shape (lack of aerodynamics) they tend to get buffeted around in the wind but overall good little run around. Third time I've had one as a run around and will again.
  14. At least it looks like a Rex again
  15. The original HKS Kansai ones fit like a Japanese condom....very snug and tight fit.
  16. Nope been too long in Japan. Only taught english one time I've been here, sorry its a brain dead job, its not rocket science. I have friends who have been doing it for 20 plus years here. Had their labotomy at the 10 year mark and are complete alcoholics. If you score a job teaching in a Uni or if your lucky teaching in a high profile Japanese business then you might be making good money. The days of making great money here teaching are long, long gone. Again if you want to teach conversation english and you can say "hello my name is..." you can get a job, you'll just need your Uni degree but theres ways around that too.
  17. Thanks fellas.. I was at HKS today picking up a few odds and end that were left over from the build. The guys gave me a picture disk CD of the build from their perspective so I'll start loading them up over the next week or so. Theres a couple of hundred pics to sort through Got another week in Japan then back to OZ so I'll load them up as I get some spare time. Had confirmation that the car will be leaving Japan on the 30th June so not too long to wait until she's on the road in Oz. Hopefully can get it the track sometime in late August. Still got other parts to go on which include Nismo 400R front bar Nismo front lip Carbon centre grill Ganador Mirrors ACPT Carbon fibre tailshaft (rated 2000hp) Auto Gallery Yokohama SS690 Gearbox
  18. Seriously.. If you can throw peanuts at monkeys you can teach english, its not rocket science, you just speak english, anyone telling you different is full of crap. The Uni degree is just for a visa, something the Jap government came up with years ago to try get quality control of teachers. Most long term teachers are here are alcoholics due the complete boredom of the job. Perks are the possible candy on the side. Downers.. the pay is crap.
  19. My mate was doing it and he wanted some time off to go away with his misso so asked if I would fill in. Got on like a house on fire with the Master san of the joint and he sacked my mate and kept me because I could drink way more piss and stay sober. The whole point of it is to get the customers buying drinks. Was great fun but crawling home at 5am 5 nights a week takes it toll. You can make awesome coin on the tips from the ladies. You dont have to a model looking guy by any sorts, just a good drinker and good flirt and most of all..good bullshit artist !!
  20. Well been a couple of fun weeks with the car and alls bloody good. Car has a moderate tune now with power sitting around the 440kw mark with a quit scramble hit of boost giving around an extra 15kw but the torque band is the most impressive part as it has a very wide torque band. Car is an animal now. Finally yesterday car was put on transport truck and is starting its journey to land of OZ. Look forward to seeing it in my garage hopefully sometime in August.
  21. I'll be checking this thursday. Got coilpack cover in good unmarked condition and have 3 sets to pick up thursday so let you know then ...
