  1. Howdy I'm urgently after pics of install of Hypertune 6 throttle Plenumn. I have engine build being done here in Japan and pretty much ready to drop the motor in but using the Hypertune 6 throttle plenumn the standard inlet pipe on the inner guard doesnt match up and we are after pics of anyones install !! From what we have gathered we will have to do some mods and cut a new hole and make some custom piping but as the car is getting sent back to oz next year for compliance I want to be sure before go hacking new holes. Hks guys want to keep the pipe as straight as possible with as little bend as possible. Any help be greatly appreciated. I've attached pic below of the pipe on inner guard I'm talking about

  11. Maybe old news back in Oz... http://www.japantoday.com/category/busines...-nz-tire-plants
  12. Matt I think your mad if you even compare your car to an R35. With the V-cam setup working and 2.8 you have the potential for unleashing a beast. The turbs your running with is sedately producing the power your getting and your only getting a glimpse of what the V-cam is like. Do a setup here in Jappa of HKS 2835's and bigger cams and hang on for the ride. I'll guarantee you'll be looking at that 6momths -1yr down the line and another smack in the money tree! I stayed away from the V-cam setup cause I was going to send my car to oz and was worried I couldnt get the V-cam tuned but now that seems to be a myth, you've got me thinking again ! Enjoy it!!

  14. Honestly in the flesh they look like some elcheapo kit from Autobacs. They just dont look right, very tacky.
  15. This was pic at some Drags here in Japan a couple of weeks ago that got washed out!! Pics dont do them justice as they look like absolute pox in the flesh. When I first saw them on this GTR I wondered why you would put such cheap nasty looking lights on a primo car. The japanese owner told me they were top coin but still dont suit the car at all..Sorry Dan
  16. You guys need to come over here a drive here in Japan for a bit ! Playing with a gps is nothing compared to what the numbnuts do here, its a daily crackup and some classic prangs.
  17. Keep em coming Matt.. Looking forward to seeing more !!
  18. Find a decent nomi tabi hodai (min all you can drink and eat for 2hrs) I like 3hr ones personally. After being well lubricated its off to a few hostess bars. Shop around and you can find some good deals. Usually ¥5000 will get you an hr of booze and female fun. Then its off to kyabbakura where still the liquid flows and the slap and tickle geys a bit more sleazy !! Then go for a wander and check out some crazy clubs, dont go where the gaijins go ! Experiment and go party with the japanese. If your in the right place in Tokyo you should easilly kill 3 days. What else is there to see but beer, candty ,neer and more candy!! Do the touro thing...baa humbug!!
  19. Off to the drags tomorrow for the weekend. Race day sunday so hopefully weathers good and can get some good pics and video. Suppose to be 100 plus cars going but its Japan and anything can happen
  20. Heres some more porting for Beer Baron Milk crates seen the norm in Japan for head work Engine finally out Nismp Copper Twin clutch apart ready for upgrade parts to Competition model rated close to 570 kw They were working on this freaky little thing yesterday HKS RACE EVO
  21. Funny, I've had a GT Legacy , a 2002 WRX STI and for last couple of years my GTR33 and in the snow and ice the GTR kicks arse all over the subies, it should be the other way round but it feels the safest in lethal conditions and ridiculously too much fun, Winter time where I am in jappa is 4 months of daily drift action, fun as f#ck. The GTR all the way for me!! As for the new WRX's ugly as..been beaten way too hard with the ugly stick but mind you this was at HKS the other day and did look not too shabby!
  22. So bloody true. Cost you an arm and a leg to sleep on a mat of bloody straw and the food always is crap.. anyone want to do the jap style and sleep on tatamis can come stay at my place for half the price. Trust me you live in a house with tatamis you'll end up hating the things !! They're just doing the same doginess as the Israelis and all the other didy gaijins. They'll try pull into hostess bars, kyabakura bars where you'll get sucked in and be paying an arm and a leg for drinks etc. Avoid the buggers. I'll be staying wherever the little man downstairs decides after it radars in on a bit of candy unless the misso wants to come ..which hopefully will be buckleys chance. Looking forward to a weekend of fast cars and Tokyo sleeze, whatever else does a bloke need, Hopefully my car will be finished and a quick test run on the wagan
  23. Hey Matt I think the problem some guys are having is they are using V-cam systems that have been tuned in Japan and not straight outta the box new. Pretty much any V-cam controller that has been tuned here in Japan, especially anything done by HKS will have password lock on the software and will need the tuners pin number to change it. From what I've heard and been told here. is no matter what settings you punch in it will revert back to a limp type mode or previous locked settings and you'll need the software writer and codes to change it. I could be wrong on this but thats coming from the horses mouth so to speak. Sounds like using new outta the box you have had no probs. Now you got me thinking I should get it done after I get back to Oz. Good to hear you have had success with it. Drivability of the car is impressive hey, like normal until you hit the angry pedal!! Keep us udated for sure Matt!! The V-cam fits in well with those cam covers!!
