  1. OK. SO I have been using 300V on my E85 fueled GTR for the past 15 or so months. I had a oil pump failure which practically destroyed the head, however the bottom end survived (A quick polish of the crank and its good to go). After pulling the engine down last weekend some of the big end bearings STILL looked like they had just come out of the boxes. I will take some photo's when I get the chance. I would have loved to pull it down before the shitty pump failure. That engine was 7 years old with 32,000 Kms on it most of its life up around 400 RWKW with upto 2 bar shoved down its throat. However it wasn't revved past 8000 RPM all that much (But was driven hard). It also didnt breathe any oil into my catchcan. After seeing that and hearing all these stories ranging from 'Your engine is going to die within 200 kms' to 'the oil will turn to jelly if left longer than a day in the sump', I won't be changing after its rebuilt! 300 V FTW!
  2. -5's, -10's, 2530's, GT RS's and 2540's ALL had the same rear in a GTR application. That's housing AND wheels.
  3. -5's man. Factory look FTW!
  4. Does the engine have a 05U block or 24U block?
  5. It will bolt straight on yes. My head fit on my GT block pretty well without any modifications.
  6. It was so strong. It was running an N1 pump. I was always worried about that stupid thing. It only had to last maybe another 3-4 months and it was going to be ripped out and replaced with a Tomei. 2.8 is getting sold. It's high comp 3.0 time Total destruction!
  7. Looks fantastic!
  8. Oil pump destroyed itself and broke into about 12 pieces. Exhaust cam welded itself to a few cam caps, all EX valves bent. Intake cam is as good as useless. SOMEHOW the bottom end survived. A quick polish of the crank and it's good to go. Some of the big end bearings looked like they just came out of the box. Stupid Oil pump's. Good for nothing!
  9. Not so pretty anymore
  10. Got a graph for us to look at?
  11. Stupid double post.
  12. Where was it from? The last fill i did from Rozelle was 'E77"
  13. It help's but nothing can save those things
  14. Recieved the catch can mate. Thankyou. Free bump for the man
  15. Woo. Bring on super dooper powah..... and more burnt rubber
  16. When does it go back on the rollers Mark?
  17. It's about having all the supporting mods. Exhaust being big enough, no '80 mm pipe going to a 60mm back into a 90''. All that shit needs to not exist. That costs money.
  18. was set at 8600 but I never revved it past 8000. Even at Winton I was changing at 6500 - 7000. I didn't need the revs. With the RS's It needed every last RPM it could get so it wasn't so lethargic when pulling the next gear... not that it helped! From 4500 RPM I have 275 kw. Now if I changed at 8000 it will land somewhere between 5500 - 6000 RPM, thats 390-410KW after gear change, back up to 425 at 7100 and 418 at 8000.
  19. Just pulled out my latest graph. I hit 0.8 bar at 3400 RPM which is about 75 RPM after the dyno graph starts. RS's was 4600 RPM which was 1400 RPM after the run starts.
  20. LOL! You know where they need to go? In the dumpster along with 2540's. But im sure there is a big pile of those in there already!
  21. What about in the mufflers (well the rear one). My Kakimoto had a 2.5 inch restrictor in it. What a POS! Silly jap systems!
  22. Thats the 'big dick' RP engine. Search "RB29 WOW".
  23. how big is your exhaust marko?
  24. 20 psi, pump 98, big engine. Sure some secrets in there but it shows the 'baby -5's' will do awsome numbers with unreal 'average' power. Something that alot of people forget.
