  1. I don't understand why dings need to be straightened out JR for a blue slip?
  2. Thanks to you guys for NOT hackin' out on me for being a noob back in 2002 and buying this... 'er putting on non-genuine items LOL Many Thanks to... * The seller (whose name I've forgotten) that brought this car over for himself until he got into financial difficulty. Whilst paying the $44K across (in 2002), his parents were in a heated argument with him for bringing this car across at a loss. I don't think the argument was 'put on'. But hey I sold this GT-R in 2005 for $39,500, so there was no big drop in depreciation for me. * Tempe Tyres for wheels and tyres that were needed to replace the Supra wheels that came on the car from Japan - wtf * Powerplay Imports for telling me that the car had been rear-ended - minor I think - lol > I loved buying l'il nick-knacks from there. * Milperra Tyres for selling me Pirelli P-Zero tyres near new > stuck like glue * John O'Sullivan the mechanic that inspected the car with me before buying - he used to service Dr Geoffrey Edelsten's Jags/Lambos/Bentley/Aston etc * Nissan for making that gorgeous Midnight Purple colour - sensational! And it never gave me an ounce of trouble. * My sons who discussed between themselves that, "Dad's bought a V8 Killer" - Rofl. Especially Matt who talked me into buying this in the first place * Simon and Dan Mackie for not getting in first to buy this.
  3. If the police say the above, your friend can exercise the option of saying, "I decline to be interviewed or to make a statement" - and do NOT enter the Interview Room ...in which case the police either have to let him go OR charge him. If he's charged, he should seek a solicitor as Adam and Matt have rightly suggested above
  4. Google:- Motoharu Kurosawa R33 GT-R Nurburgring and particularly where he comments about the car (with subtitles). IMHO, the R33 GT-R despite its longer wheelbase, is a brilliant car. But be very selective when choosing and try out several It might be best to obtain one right here on SAU F/S Section, where any past issues are probably ironed out already. Always check for rust (manifested through salted Japanes roads some time back).
  5. Lol... I hardly ever frequent here. ...had to think, "What the hell was I doing on July 28th?" Calendar says, "Visit Unigroup re: someone else's car" hehe... I thought BTW that my car was pretty quiet & unobtrusive!
  6. You are my... a) dearest alibi or b) darkest spy Hmmm "alibi" will do Charlie Lol
  7. If I was your neighbour, I'd refer to you as, "You old-timer" cause i'm only 63, and can still do 100m in 10sec (if I drive 99 of 'em)
  8. James, finally a quote... $9 freight to E Melb., so (for 2 cartons), only a couple of bucks more...
  9. They are 10.5s Ant. They were behaving themselves until I took them over and wanted to change them from bronze to Nismo Black. That's when it was revealed that the 1st weld had opened up. Bit of a shame. They deserve 285/30 rubber too.
  10. LMGT4 18x10.5 +12 in Nismo Black but one rim has been welded 3x in the same spot. It came out from Japan on my VS2 with 1x weld and by looking at the chalk marks prior to its 2nd weld at Minchinbury one could see that the original hit was adjacent to the original crack with faint imperceptible bends on either side. The 2nd TIG weld was performed before powder coating at CRAVED. On the way to the Exec Retreat down near Sussex Inlet, the reweld opened up again. The 3rd weld was done by Nigel at One Stop Unanderra where he made "V" cuts on both sides of the lip before welding. He said that this is how it should have been done the first time. I've been a bit paranoid about that rim and left it on the rear (& never the front) whilst I looked around for a solitary equivalent. That couldn't be found. But these turned up... 18x9.5 +12 in Nismo Black after recoating again by CRAVED. Aaron had located these GT500 ver05 in somewhat scratched condition but perfect in roundness/strength. This has been my spare set Ant. If I find a single rim for that first set, (even if it takes me years), I'll let you know hehe...
  11. Ok Ant, you're on my swap list
  12. Actually K, the ones you saw at WTAC were 18x10.5 +12 that came across on the BsB VS2 They were powder coated Nismo Black as well
  13. These Kristian? Yes from Aaron. They were bronze; and underneath a few small scratches, they were originally white. Resurrected by Chris aka "CRAVED" Chris wasn't happy with the sandblasting; so he sacked the regular bloke and tried a new fellah Pete aka "PLYNX" fabricated new centre caps on these 18x9.5 +12 GT500 ver05
  14. Very True! I've been a carer for an old guy - 95. I had to garage sell his stuff off, including a perfectly good wheel chair. And the person who bought that (for her husband) still wanted to haggle on a price of $50. I said, "the tyres are new lady and those tyres are worth more than the chair!!!" So she shut up and bought it. Yes you can have that guy's spare walker for 'nix' Josie, but it's basic and too far away and costly to courier to SA ...but 1 chance in a million: anyone going from NSW to SA and can transport an inexpensive walker for free??? If so, PM me. So yes, any garage sale where it's a deceased estate or the elderly are going into an aged care centre, is the way to go. And rock up early!!! Great to see that you love your Dad so much Keep praying that he doesn't suffer pain. BTW, Ginkgo Biloba herb increases peripheral circulation - so get some of that for him. I'm a chemist (retired), so tell him the chemist recommended it hehe...
  15. Price is about right Chris. It's just a bit hard to sell an auto trans on this type of car and in this market.
  16. Picture-perfect Chris ^^^
  17. Can you change the front rims to the rear and see if the vibrations come through your seat? If they do, it's the wheels. If they don't, it could be alignment, bushes... Tried TROJAN in Mitchell or who they'd recommend?
  18. Yeah, they must be 260/9.15 ...same as what were on my previous VS2 > very happy with them
  19. Pete will troubleshoot your Lambo too
  20. ...and costs less than "Women"
  21. + Fire and Theft is a good idea whilst protecting any sort of 'thief magnet', so on a budget Danny, at least you've done the right thing
  22. Even dodgy sellers can get desperate Longz. Whilst lots of companies are running 'lean n mean' atm, there are a few more repossessions around F/S. So he may come back at your friend > should we stay tuned?
  23. I've had PFC D Jetro on this one and the previous > both gave me 400+Km/tank ie more accurately 14.5l/100Km and a bit more with squirts (but not peak hour traffic) State of tune was tops on both cars. Both run 600cc Sard Both run -7 or N1 Methinks your consumption is excessive, so 02???
  24. Quite a few cars available from 'oldies' ...so long as they're not just an 'owner by name only' as a guise for their child/grandchild. Best way to check that is by way of checking the contents of the glove box and turning on the last radio station listened to and the genre of CD that's in there. They're often owners of Preludes, Corollas, Getz, Jazz, Accord etc. Oldies usually ask for too much and resist the 'face to face' offer; but they often relent on the follow-up phone call. I'm 63 and my Mum is 86 so I've been through all the above hehe...
  25. I already answered your duplicate thread in "Importing Vehicles". For what it's worth, SiNNO has swapped his R34 GT for an EVO which is a good step up He has his sights even further down the track too, so David has his eyes open all the time. So I wouldn't discount an EVO from the dealers mentioned in both your threads. Of course, it depends on what you want the car for. Just don't buy the one owned by that old lady with the number plates "IVENFI" hehe...
