  1. ^^^ Yum > brings back many happy memories of my '76 It still had the original clutch after 180***Kms
  2. ^^^ My hair is thinning on top but on the plus side... It's coming back out through my ears & my nostrils... ...as I continue to wait for pics. Lol
  3. The threshold before tax has been $1000. The threshold is now contemplated to become just $30 So buying rims, tyres, spares etc is going to attract tax pretty soon.
  4. $148,250 is justification to insure your own R34 GTR N1 for a similar amount when it comes time to renewing your policy.
  5. Have you also tried Lumleys Special Vehicles?
  6. $27K is a bit cheap for a G6E Turbo isn't it? I'd grab one of those at that price.
  7. I'll remember this when I need a 'chameleon' getaway car.
  8. Wut colour does your G/f paint her nails? Make her happiieeee !!
  9. That has been replaced by Putty Rd for 2012 Brett; but I agree that a Sunday night is extremely taxing on us guests that have to come long distances. I wonder if a Fri night would work better (whilst Sat is out of the question)? In 2013, Seton and Bowe are agreeable to be Guests of Honour.
  10. Could I have been in trouble whilst running an SAU Event like the R32 GTR 21st? No, whilst stipulating that all road rules and the SAU.NSW Code of conduct were adhered to. CAMs covered us. On the other hand, the organisers of the R34 GTR 10th (ie Eugene and yours truly) were sticking their necks out if say, one of our 72 cars T-boned another in our convoy - even whilst stipulating that road rules be adhered to. Neil our then President, brought my attention to that.
  11. For such a lightened up car, yes 'tis sad. That makes the N1 all the more valuable; especially in such fewer numbers.
  12. Are the M3 CSLs only made in Man? Or is SMG available too? As a purist, I'd only desire the Man. And how many E46 M3 CSLs were made? Were they numbered too?
  13. You'll just love the R33 GT-R Chris *The V-Spec has a quicker ATTESSA System to activate the front wheels. *V-Spec is easily recognised by the fins on the rear diff. *Besides checking for any rust (indicating that the car has lived much of its life near the Japanese coast or been driven on salted roads), do your usual checks as you would on any car. *I would look for complete history from here as well as Japan &/or receipts. *Wear and tear should be consistent with the odometer; including driving seat bolster, scratches on steering wheel as well as sun damage, scratches on ignition barrel, scratches under driver's door handle, scratches on door sill, gear knob condition (but that's often changed anyway), and ageing of the windscreen wiper arms. *Electrics are usually good on the R33 GT-R. *Brakes should be fine also, but need checking if tracked very much *Do slow circles clockwise and anticlockwise with windows down to listen for CV clicking *Check where the car is usually parked overnight to see if there are any oil drips. But put it up on a hoist anyway to check seepage *Compression test is recommended *Series II will have 2 airbags & later models may have Xenon headlights *Don't be surprised about different quality rides in different GT-Rs since there is a wide variety of coilovers out there with different spring rates and settings
  14. Tis good to be resourceful It conditions one to think outside the square.
  15. Yup & keep a log book (backed up by receipts) of all services
  16. I saw one the other day on a '98 GT-T Wreck (front end only destroyed). I don't know if the bracket will fit a Stag. It was at Skyline Spares 0410.069.096 [email protected] Talk to Erwin
  17. Someone in F/S has a brand new set of LMGT1s Jimmy. Never had tyres on em
  18. I'd flash my lights at them and take a different route - avoiding cops stereotyping me with them.
  19. Many thanks for putting this on... Shall come > Learning prevents dementia! OK, so 28 Oct is a Sunday.
  20. Every man has his price! At least the Nur has the appropriate 19" LMGT4s back on instead of 20" rims. If in the Blue Mtns you can drive mine if you're over 30 lol
  21. Yup & 'Roo skin on front bumper makes good bra
  22. I empathise with you. I once bought some wheels for my 4WS VTiR Prelude. They were shod with Nankang S Sh!tt Anyway, on a wet night, I followed a Vectra (FWD) around a sweeper at 50Km/Hr and my car lost all traction. The tyres were near new. I thought WTF. I went to Blair's Tyres who are agents for Nankangs. Nankang Aust branch was very obliging after checking the date on the wall. They were so kind, they gave me a brand new set of the same tyre that slipped just as badly on the next wet night !!! If I had looked in the rear vision mirror as I took off, I wonder if I would have seen some tyre man 'crossing' himself?
  23. cheaper than jakarta to ashmore reef
