  1. You won a set of RS? You lucky bastard. Do you get to pick colour, size etc? If you want to flog 'em off I could be interested in buy'n em Saw some pics of your car, its had some work since i last saw it And bugger Sandown, make it Winton or PI, that way lesser powered rwd cars have a chance against the EVOs
  2. He did well to race clean all afternoon and the team got the strategy right. It was a great result, they were there to make their own luck when everybody crashed out
  3. With the WRX Club i have been pinged because of noise. If you take it easy for the first two sessions and change up at 4,000rpm ( ) and keep the gate closed you can get some good sighthing laps under your belt. Last time i was there i got two sessions where i gave it curry in the afternoon. Total of 5 laps in anger But still good fun...wich i was able to make it.
  4. Stewards docking Vettel 10 places for Malaysia is 100% BullSHIT! What are they playing at? It was tough, hard racing that didnt end well for either driver. If they are going to hand out penalties for such moves then how is it that Rubens gets away from his 1st corner antics and the tapping of Kimi? Looks like we are set for another year of FIA stupidity
  5. I read that teh Drifteks needed a few mm skimmed off the caliper when on 355mm rotor. My old Weds TC05 cleared 355mm and F30 caliper
  6. Matt Cook? Is that SK's son? If so then Russ in the lil R32 GTSt did well to be where he is since its his first time at OP and i think its his second track day ... all with a 220rwkws RB20
  7. In the 17" wheel the TE37 and RE30 offer a lot more clearance to my brakes then the 57 Pro I had
  8. Cool, cool. So what else was there. Oh the Boston S2000, how quick did it go with semis? Yeh the Vic Supra (red) is always mega loud and looks quick but to date hasnt bagged good times. suppose its still being developed
  9. Was the Vic Supra all noise liek usual or have they finally got that thing working? Oh, and how did Markov go in his cleaner then clean white R32 GTR
  10. Congrats to Mark and Russ, good to see the effort rewarded. Anyone know if the black R32 GTSt from Vic got through the day with no dramas? Hope Russ Jr went well in the little GTSt. Oh, and what was the story with the S2000?
  11. Yeh, awesome to see Brawn 1-2. Shame to see Vettel trip with Kubiza. Sux that Rubens plouhged into Webz, with all the drama of the race the RBR looked quick and with no damage on the car Webz could have easily finished ahead of Hamilton/Trulli. Oh well, will have to wait to Malaysia....but the Brawn is simply too quick. It is miles ahead of the other cars for pace. Rubens in a beaten car was able to recover for 4th on merit, inherit 2nd. ANd Jensen was criusing with just mintaining gaps he didnt have to work all that hard to get. Then threw away time in a pitstop and was still comfortable. The car is simply a rocket ship. I dont like the fact that i like Button as i want to hate him as some parts of me do... ?!?!?! But its good to see the guy who has stuck with that team/people through the little bit of good but mostly bad get a result. Will be interesting how close it is between Rubens and Button...but a strong tip that either the other teams will quickly catch up or a sneakign suspicion the Diffuser 3 will be banned as a result of Renault and Ferrari complaints about how they approached the FIA and were told not to continue their work on similar designs as they were deemed illegal
  12. So how did Johnny go in the boat, and the Z06?
  13. Any news on finalising the best point? Looking to get a rear GTR cradle sorted for my bus.
  14. BGP to stumble and Vettel will get his second GP win in Aus!
  15. Looking for a rear cradle. Has to come with diff, driveshafts, hubs etc, essentially complete except for calipers and rotors. Though will take one with brakes if thats all that is available. Due to the size prefer Vic, but will consider Sydney
  16. That Evo 6.5 thing is a weapon. Will be interesting to see how it goes. Advan red look good on the Giant machine. No R35 out there today? Good to see their old R32 still being used for what it was built
  17. Ooops, so his fuel load isnt about to help him gain a few spots with a long first run So, what has Sportsbet got Vettel at? No way both BGP cars will get to the flag, so it would be great to see Vettel with a win for RBR!
  18. BUMB ASS Honda. Hell they are still throwing money at the team, yet Brawn, Virgin and Mercedes are now getting all the credit. LOL, that has to hurt Especially after all those years of uber money and one lucky win. But Webz, did anybody see qualifying? Webz is nowehere and Vettel did what a lot of people said he would do to Webber Oh well, hopefully Rubens can knock off Button and Vettel can do good for RBR. Personally i think its GREAT to see Mclaren down the back and Ferrari mid field and BMW/Renault struggling. Good for the series, just dont let Button win...please. Not another POM!
  19. Yeh possibly, naybe it has come far sooner then even i expected. I was always going to be curious to see how Lewis goes in a shitter of a McLaren. Sadly he has won the WDC before enduring the privilege of driving a POS and fighting for points
  20. TD06-20G is more responsive then GT-RS and makes more power. My car went back to back with another SAU guy on dynos to compare setups. We run similar exhausts, same IC and filter from memory, he ran a botl on GT-RS i ran a full Greddy TD06-20G setup. The cars have different tuners, but the 20G made more power and was more responsive. A GT-RS is not the same as a 2530, the 2530 is smaller. The more power thing could be attributed to the fact that i was running 2psi more, but i think at the same boost the 20G would have still made a few kws more and would have of course still been more responsive
  21. The RBR looks ok for a points finish, and importantly Webber is now 3-0 vs Vettel The practivce count means nothing , have to wait and see hwat happens in qualifying. I am pumped though, looks like the front rows are in for a real shake up (crosses fingers)
  22. I dont undestand what people mean by is it ok for daily driving...lol of course it is. It drives like an NA 2L and has 100rwkws in the rev range you use on the street. If by daily driver you mean a car you can thrash on the street then no way a TD06 is for you. In second gear is does not sit you in your seat until 60km/h. But i am a boring old fart, have never been booked for anything in my life as on the street i keep it all pent up. I get to the track and i rape my poor car. So for daily driving, i dont get it, most streets are 50km/h to 80km/h....you dont need 260rwkw for that If you are in Vic i suggest you come to the next SAU Vic DECA day. Russman would be happy to scare the shit out of you with his driving in his R32 running a 2530 and abtou 230rwkws, and i can take you for a spin in my TD06. You will definitely get a feel for the respective strengths of each setup.... But when you say street driving, you need to be honest with yourself and think about what sort of driving it is that you do on the street
  23. LOL, if you like the idea of DMS then you can do worse. DMS have a strong reputation and plenty of runs on the board with their products being run in plnety of Targa cars. Beaumont runs them in his Evos and his cars have won enough Duttons etc to be able to say the shocks work well. On every shock you will get mixed feelings, but DMS do have a strong following and reputation. If i was you though talk to Techsport or a few other agents. When i was looking at them a few people told me not to worry about the 50mm track version, the 40mm street version would be fine. The thinking is the 50mm is more about durability then superior performance, and since i am not doing dirt or tarmac rallies then the abuse the shock has to put up with on light track duties means i would have been able . Though i like the two way adjustability of the DMS shock myself which always made me think they would be worth the extra money. So a good thing, most importantly locally supported. But, again, i am just an idiot on the internet who has never driven a car with this suspension. So, lol shame we cant rewind 6 years and Merli take you for a ride in his old R33 as he used to run them and was happy with them in his track GTSt.
