Come on RBR, forget the rain. Give it another 4 laps then go to intermediates and fuel it to the end. Forget a 5th or 6th, gamble for the win
-
Lewis with fuel to the end? The rain will need to come otherwise he is carrying all that fuel until he needs to pit for intermediates. They keep talking about rain...but where is it?
-
The Mclaren looks crazy good compared to other cars. Vettel still looking strong. And the kerb cutting, meh everybody is doing it
-
Fark! Lewis is carving through them but driving like a right flamin mongrel with moving over on ppl
-
Looking at the speed of Lewis, Heikki cant even keep with the STR Come on Webber, get up on the bum and jump tha Mac in the pitstop
-
Lewis complains about Kimi in Spa, yet forces Glock onto the grass FARKTARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Massa on FIRE!

Poor Seb! Lets wait for Louise and her estrogen fuelled brain fart in traffic. Will it come?

Personally i cant see how Jensen still has any motivation these days. He is making up the numbers and really, he isnt putting Rubens in his place. Rubens is a talented guy but he is a known qty when driving a good car. So if Button cant put Ruben away and motivate himslef on race weekends when the car is crappy....well they need fresh blood in that seat that will puch like no tomorrow becuase this is his chance in F1. I also cant believe there is talk that Nakajima is retaining his seat at Williams, he isnt too bad but there is no way he should be learning his craft at the expense of some other talent that is ready now. Put him in the testing role and let him find speed over a single lap. If Bourdais is marched i so hope that Frank picks him up, years ago he was impressed by Bourdais during testing. Poor Frank would probably be wishing that Toyota took Nakajima and gave him Glock
-
Just saw an interview with Bourdais post Spa, man i like the way this guy approaches his racing. He obviously has talent, he was almost in tears regarding the P7. I hope he retains his seat. He is a straight shooter and pretty humble, and having seen some US races he doesnt mind soem tough/hard racing

What are the costs of entry. SAU-Vic were looking at doing a road trip to Tas for some fun, and i realise its not that expensive to get the car there compared to driving to NSW Is there anywhere a full calender is posted? How door to door is the racing?
-
Will be an interesting race. Kimi can make it hard for him, with being so deep in the pack Lewis shouls show some caution....but i bet he doesnt. Kubey has no reason to make his life easy, Alonso will make it hard for him...lol, it will be a good test for him as there are some strong guys back there with him that will make him fight. LOL, he looks like such a tool for his comments, but has given himself the leap board for an impressive race

So what is the verdict? They canned the qualifying on TV here in India because there has been a bombing in Delhi. It was too late for me to get a high speed connection to stream it So Webber 3, Vettel 1? Seriously hope Vettel and Heikki fark each other up and leave Webber alone for a change And it seems Louise has taken his girlfriends HRT/Estrogen tablets and lost his balls Oh Lewis, you have to be careful with some of those calls of yours The bloke with no balls has out qualified you and the guy on the back foot is a bunch of rows ahead of you as well
-
Thing is though, is this the real him, the all encompassing, greatest, centre of the universe? Or is it the humble, the team are great, thanks to my fans etc etc? The two personalities are in stark contrast to one another, and the ugly side is what is revealed when the pressure mounts. Perhaps we were right in commenting that he seems so false and "plastic" in conferences Who i do feel for is poor old Max osley I mean he is probably sitting at home saying "Shit, they have struck gold here and i am sitting on the bench" Oh well, thats what the politics of whips and chains gets you

Frankly, its good to keep an eye on the piston area as when buying aftermarket calipers some of the less common options mean you cna buy a 4 pot caliper cheap and end up with a caliper that is meant for the rear, or some Porsche calipers that aportion bias/brakign torque differently because of all the weight they have over the rear axle. But with regards to master cylinder sizing, they do have reasonably wide operating windows. Dont forget if you go up in piston area size you often dont notice any difference in pedal feel as simply the aftermarket caliper is stiffer and there is less flex in the caliper .... so less pedal effort. For now i will sit on the fence a bit longer, with me being OS and the dollar struggling i will wait and see if the dollar recovers a little then grab a kit then,

Oh Lewis.... http://en.f1-live.com/f1/en/headlines/news...912093043.shtml Didnt he learn anything from last year and earlier this year? When he starts all "the talk" he seems to end up distracting himself. End of last year when he started games with Alonso, earlier this year when the talk had the UK media turning on him (challenging Button in a triathalon). As soon as he got back to racing he started scoring the points again. To run out and say Massa is on the back foot and Kimi has no balls . LOL, brave talk. With all the drama and bad luck its 4 wins each, and even if things had gone to plan for both drivers it would be 5 wins each. I hope it doesnt come back to burn him because its actually starting to get painful how Lewis is making life hard for himself.

Nick the other thing with the Stoptech and aftermarket F40/50 Brembos is that they have external brake line bridges that means that some of ht ecoolant is in the cooler air. On the likes of the Nissan GTR Brembos all the fluid lines are internal to the caliper so subject to the far higher caliper temps which means fluid more readily boils. But it is a game of inches. The other beauty of the aftermarket calipers is that once you have them you can take them from car to car, or if you end up with so much grunt in a street car, your straight line acceleration is better then most tin top race cars, you have way less corner speed as its a street car, and you typicall weight at least 200kgsx more then a tin top race car so you may need to end up with brakes which some think are ridiculous. So with the radial mount style caliper you can grab a set of 380mm rotors and just get the appropriate mount and the caliper will be functional on that rotor as well. But, i do think that if you are going to go big dollar aftermarket you really cant jsutify going any smaller then 355mm unless you are one of the GTSt/S13/14/15 brigade where a 332-343mm will be about right. I think Ronin 09 on this forum has about the best set up you can get. He runs 355 x 36mm thick rotors with the AP CP5555 6 pot. The rotor is some 4mm thicker then most rotors with 72 vane so the thing cools like an absolute champion. COmbined with the CP caliper which has relatively small piston area and relies on the increase in rotor diam for an increase in brake torque. Brand new i can get you a similar kit for about $3500 . Beauty of using the CP5555 caliper is that you can make do with std rear brakes just with good rotor and pads...and if you ever stumble accross some well priced GTR rears then just grab them.

So i guess that means Alonso will be knocking on the door of BMW. I wonder if the likes of McLaren are upset that they have Heikki locked away in the 2nd seat with the like of Kubica and Heidfeld possibly on the march from BMW.

They are until you win and somebody protests

I am all for a more equitable solution. But what is it? I cant see how a fine does the job. If the precedent is set for a fine then watch out when drivers start cutting chicanes, gain track position to have a dive at the next corner not concerned about the $10,000 fine. Plus, fining McLaren would introduce another type of precedent for this sort of penalty. The point is, the FIA applied the std penalty for the offence he was deemed to have committed. What you suggest introduces another level of subjectivity, surely not a good thing. Black / white, means penalty A or B works best. A starting grid penalty, isnt that the domain for driving infringements during practice, qualifying and engines etc?
-
It was a simple question. Where is the precedent for a fine for driving infringemetns that influence the outcome of a race? FIA have been pretty consistant at issuing a drive thru for such acts. What you pose is if i was to kill my neighbour ten minutes before winning lotto, i shouldnt go to jail because i now have more to lose. But wait, the autopsy just revealed the guy was going to die of a serious illness within a day or so anyway, so because i have just had a big win with lotto and have more to lose then the the rest of the guys in the street....i should just pay a fine?

R34 Gtr Rim Technical Drawing
Roy replied to LotusGTR's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
PM BB GTR. He runs the CSC on his R32 GTR with CSC and i would have sworn he was running the 365mm rotor inside his old R34 GTR rims. Perhaps the one they trial fitted to your wheel was off another model car and the rotor hat offset a little different. Though check with BBGTR, but surprised to read that their 365 kit doesnt fit inside the R34 wheel -
The ST40 is the same for the F40 caliper for most of their 332mm rotor kits, which is the same as the Brembo GTR which is 44mm and 38mm pistons
-
What a fine? Where is he precedenet of the FIA issuing fines for infringements that affect the outcome of a race?
