  1. I did this all back in 2001 so who knwos what it costs today. The King springs were around $450 installed, and re the bushes check out what the adjustable camber bush costs in the Group Buy. I now runs arms by Noltec so cant remember what i paid for my last set of bushes a few years ago? $250 installed aligned maybe? Its a guess. Shop around and get prices fo ryourself that way idiots like me on a car forum are not leading you astray
  2. Or it simply has the wrong spring installed
  3. What is happening with teh Hoigh Octane movie they were planning on mkaing. Those DVDs were a crack and was looking forward to their movie
  4. Smell? They have come out and told the world they hoped for good gains with their new aero, front suspension and a return to a system similar to the mas damper but within the regulations dictated by the FIA. They have mae no secret that they were hoping this big round of changes was going to help. Whether they are now a top 3 team remains to be seen. My feeling is they are probably about the 4th fastest team, because even if they are light on fuel, they are moving in the right direction and typically Williams lose their way mid year, Toyota's pace always falls off after a strong start. So that only leaves RBR and like Renault they are relying on one driver at the moment... Cant wait for 10:50pm tonight Will be real interesting to see Mclaren. We keep hearung about Louise in GP2 and his ability to come from behind. Well we havent seen this in F1 yet...so lets see what the y boy can do with the sort of pressure that WDCs wear
  5. LOL, if Aaron is there, the rest should stay at home an watch their favourite porn vid.
  6. Looking good. Great to see Webber ahead of Trulli. Great to see Alonso up the front, and great to see McLaren could only get 5 & 6. LOL, the more they stuff around in the pack the more credence the stories about Alonso's contribution to the McLaren team. Especially with Alonso an Renault getting quicker. Will be interesting to see what happens in the race with fuelling
  7. Do not consider using any other fluid other then Castrol Castrol Syntrax 75W/90 http://www.castrol.com/liveassets/bp_inter...90_B1278983.pdf I have used it for the last 90,000kms in my RB20 gearbox and i have run over 230rwkws since 150,000kms on my gearbox. I now have done a total of 190,000kms on my RB20 gearbox, with plenty of track work and the last 18 months with 260rwkws. The oil is good stuff.
  8. How close is Q1! 1. Kimi 1:20.701 2 Trulli 1:21.158 3. Alonso 1:21.347 15. Nakajima 1:21.69 Thats the closest we have seen in a long while
  9. If you get the chance you shoudl have a drive of mine. Its always good to get the feedback from someone who has a similar car, you work out your cars short falls pretty quick with that sort of comparison.
  10. LOL, looks like i may have scored a gig OS so with the comfort of knowing that i have a job in the bag when i head OS perhaps a 6 week splurge on motorsport is just the thing before i leave the shores. All this chatty chat is driving me crazy, i need to go out there and bin it proper trying to get into the teens
  11. But Jim is apretty private guy and doesnt like the lime light
  12. An R32 GTSt with a good exhaust, intercooler and air filter will basically make 12psi without a boost controller. Was that eh case? If not then you could have another problem
  13. Meh to valve springs and all that. Just get a nice turbo rated at around 400hp, something like a TD06, 3071 etc and get it well tuned with adjustable cam gears. I run a TD06 on a std motor and on plenty of occassions have ran it to a 8,800rpm rev limit with 18psi or so jammed into it. Though i tend to try and run either high revs or high boost, not normally both.
  14. Yeh the problem is though when you change engines you need to chamnge the engine number on your rego papers, which means an inspection at the local motor registry If you mod the RB20 then the numebrs match up, even if the thing has so many mods its equally as illegal. I guess you are not inviting trouble by havign to take your car to them. As for alink...if you hunt around the Vic roads website there is actualy some clear and useful information on it all
  15. They are for sale on yahoo.jp Have a search and you will come accross it
  16. People say that all the time. But before going too far down that path its best to read the Vic Roads website with regards to what is required if you deceide to put an RB25 into your R32
  17. I like Crompton, i supported him as a driver and like him on air. He was never the most natural or talented driver, but he was a hard worker and good for the teams he drove for. I hope that Tony Cockraine gets hit by a car and has to step aside. I watch with interest with what Ford are going to do re-funding. The series is a 2 horse race, and if one of the manufacturers starts withdrawing support then what then for the Ford teams, and the category over all? Is it Rocky that has a new street race as well? Its all one way traffic at the moment and would love if the tracks told Tony to get stuffed and 5 or 6 of the track owners turned down a race for a few years as they didnt want to be held to ransom by the guy.
  18. The fact that the car has no wastegate on it...you would think that the thing would struggle to make boost. Air is bloody lazy and will take the path of least resistance. So the fact that it makes 13psi with an open pipe...well i think that hints that the way the wastegate is tied into the collector is the issue. Cant really see enough from the pic that Paul has taken. Surely putting a bigger wastegate on it is a band aid to the bigger progblem?
  19. Being an R34 GTT i would like to think the shocks would be in ok condition. My R32 was 9 years old with 90,000kms on it when i removed the std shocks and it turned out they were ok. I think you would be happy with some lowered springs from Kings, Whiteline etc and a wheel alignment along with whatever bushes you need to get optimal alignment when lowered. If you have some cash left over then some adjustable swaybars are great value. So for less then $1000 you should be able to get a nice handling car that is lower then std. I was happy with my car when that was all the mods i had
  20. You would get a better response if you posted in the Vic section. You can try a number of places, from Creatd, Bresciani, Racepace, Nizpro, High Torque, RE Customs, Chasers etc. What sort of power and boost are you chasing? A std RB20 can comfortably handle 250rwkws. If you want an engine built i personally would talk to either Racepace, Nizpro or RE Customs. From what i can see they have a large range and number of cars involved in club level motorsports. So what they learn on these cars carries over to all the engines they build
  21. See the Bel EVO did a 1:04.1 at Wakefield.
  22. Was that last Sunday's Driver Training Day? A friend was hoping to make that in his new E30. That is crazy quick...now i need to turn up to a BMW day to see the car in person as it is now doing times comparable to fully blown race cars.
  23. Probably not. They have had Will Power etc, but the drivers that get the more consistant drives have not been our most promising young drivers. And Docking know a hell of a lot on how to win, only i imagine the funds are not there for the Docking team to do what they need to do in order to move up the grid.
  24. A few years ago before everyone subscribed to the whole cashless society i used to make a killing doing armed robs at the local servo. These days everybody pays for their petrol using plastic. If only peopled used cash more often then it would be worth the agro of getting all dressed up in black and jumping the counter for a right old bollocking. No need to actually use violence, you could achieve the same end result with the right vacabulary. Like i said, start using cash more often and every 10-14 days just make a withdraw
  25. Meh, they better improve from 13s, surely my GTSt will be dipping into the low 14s
