  1. Be great to see this car get on the road. Hopefully they bing the Chev engine and throw something a little more extoic in there., But i doubt they will, it will increase the price and for a small volume manufacturer (much like the Ultima) it makes sense to use the Chev
  2. Have you actually purchased the cams? if you have then sell them and put the money towards a better turbo. If you havent got he cams yet then put the money towards a better turbo. Gut feel is if you are going to try cams then i would go smaller, around the 256/8.5mm. Will be interesting to see the results though, i hope i am wrong. Be great if they turn out to be ball tearers, i will run out and grab some
  3. It looks liek it looks good, I have considered it time and time again but always thought it would look a bit silly, appears i was wrong Is that pic at Unigroup? LOL, how are the guys all going? I went to Uni with them all back in the day.
  4. Time for you to be handed the keys to Ol Silver and let the inner madness loose
  5. LOL, are you kidding. If you saw the vid you will know that they rated the Peugeot 206 2nd over the Porsche 355 Ferrari, Lotus etc etc. Subjective, yes. But biased? No more then any comment from a journo. But at least this was qualified by Harvey and Burns, two paid race car drivers. Burns commented that you do something silly, the car sorts it out. And Harvey commented on it being one of the quickes tpoint to point cars he had driven. But they all agreed that eh nadlign was dead and computers did too much for you
  6. What a POS. I cant believe the Germans are so stupid, talk about 60s thinkign with regards to performance. The only way they know how to make a car quicker is to throw a bigger motor in it. I mean what the fark. 6.3L V8 in a small sedan. Get with the times!
  7. Its always been the same with GTRs. There are lots of professional drivers out there that dotn like how they drive. A few years ago when the R33 was new, they pitted it agaisnt 575 Ferrari, 355 Ferrari, 911, NSX, 3000GT, M3, Elise, GTi Golf etc etc at a race track with Tim Harvey, Richard Burns and Jeremy Clarkson all driving. The UK Spec R33 GTR was the quickest around the track, yet didnt make the top 5 when it came to selecting the best handling car there. (The aim of the shootout was to find the best handlign car on the market) They just didnt like how the ATTESA did it all for you and the car didnt respond to all the drivers inputs.
  8. Yeh i i read that one daily on the can You dont have any other issues ?
  9. ..ok. Yeh i have made a fibreglass insert for one. I may just use that
  10. 2630GTS, when you modded the std bar, were you able to plastic weld it or is it a bog and fibreglass special to get the enarlge intercooler opening?
  11. Personally i think DS2500s are the most over rated pad i haev tried. They are fine on the street, but nothing special on the track. I find they lack feel and are only a bit better then Race Brakes RB74 and about as good as Race Brakes Comp 2 pads. I ran Endless CCX and love them. I have cracked a few set of rotors since installing these pads though, not sure if its related, could be?!?!?!?!?! But for stopping the car, no fade and to me the most important thing is feel and pedal modulation, best pad i have used. I have found the DS2500s feel pretty dead under foot with poor modulation in my car. I even tried a second set in case the first set were duds and the second set was no better. So i would suggest trying one of the other brands that ppl are recommending
  12. Bugger One day we will bag a good before after comparison of just cams Re the head and making it breathe better. At first glance i can understand why people say the RB20 head doesnt flow well. For a long time i went with that thinking and didnt challenge it. Until one day when i noticed my setup getting better results then the same setup on an SR20 which got me thinking Firstly not saying cams wont help, but consider this when looking at the RB20 head. STD Rb20 cams are 240/7.8 (IN/EX). Now the RB25 has the same cam size despite the extra 500cc and 0.5:1 compression. It does have VCT though. Now the RB26 runs 240/236 8.58/8.28mm cams Now looking at the difference in displacement etc then you can start to appreciate that the cams in the RB20 are not exactly small to start with. They have same/similar duration as bigger RBs and only a little less lift then the RB26. So you then consider that the RB20 has smaller ports, runners and valves. But it has to because it only displaces 2L, if it had runners and valves the same size as an RB25 then its gas velocity woudl suck and would not be able to spool the std turbo let alone an aftermarket one. So it rightfully has smaller runners/valves to ensure good velocity and cylinder filling. But here is the thing that ppl do not consider. At only 2L the RB20 shares the same basic displacement as an SR20. Now being a 6 cylinder the RB20 displaces less cc per cylinder then the SR20, which is basically 500cc per cylider vs the RB20 333cc. Now consider the total surface area of valve for the RB20 and SR20 and you will see that per swept volume of each cylinder the RB20 has more valve surface area. So dont sell short the power and flow that the RB20 is capable of. It flows just fine for a 2L, with time and more ppl actually bothering with the RB20 we are seeing more and more ppl get great results, previously dismissed as impossible for an RB20
  13. What are the wheel sizes and offsets? Can you measure the ID of the wheels as i need to be sure they will clear my brakes
  14. Any before / after dyno sheets and general comments on changes to throttle response and transient boost response?
  15. Are you in Melb these days, would be interested in grabbing some of the Skyline ones
  16. Any more pictures? Im curious to know the proportions of the car remain with the larger front guards? Does the whole look gel
  17. But the RB20 won the SATCC in 1990, and won several JTCC. That engine ended up in the R32, save the manifold and turbo. Neither the RB25 or R33 had done anyting except cruise Oxford Street with Pin Pearl paint, 20" chrmoies and yellow leather interior Stop finding flaws in my nonsense rambling, it isnt meant to make sense
  18. But Pintaras dude ! If a guy was banging the dumbest, ugliets and yes poor as hell street trash, would you take advice on picking up broads from him? He mods Pintaras so how does he know what is mustard? Nissan won numerous Touring Car Crowns with the RB20 in a Pintara. It must have been a great engine to carry that chassis to victory. Now what has an RB25 ever won, except the race to melt pistons and get ignition/boost cut when you simply throw a bit of boost at the std ECU Yes, i am just trash talking
  19. I dont take advice from a guy that tries to make a living from modifying Pintaras
  20. LOL, looking at the number of R33s for sale it appears that R33s are the children that get dumped in a bin around the corner from the methadone clinic
  21. Hanging is too good for R33 owners....and so continues the downward trend of this thread But to the original poster, just shop around and look at both models. Sooner or later you will find an example that you tick most boxes and will like. It could be an R32, could be an R33. There is no point comparing stock ones as there are more modified ones out there then stock
  22. FARK MAN! Don't go giving away out trade secrets!
  23. My cats breath smells like cat food
  24. Looks the goods Wogboy. Wouldnt happen to be Fatz old car would it?
