  1. What you MIGHT (I do stress might) not be realising is many of the young drivers die on our roads due to inexperience NOT due to speed, drugs, drinking, 4 mates in the car, etc... We all know you cant teach experience. But you can give it a bit of a helping hand. Teaching people some better basics, and trying to change thier additude has a better affect. End of the day, the laws will not work anywhere near effectivly enough, or as they are claiming they will. They are a bandaid option to make it look as if they are doing something to save the young drivers (while also attempting to reduce the 'hoon' factor at the same time) especially in an election year. Whats really annoying not many of these young drivers can vote, therefore making it very difficult for thier oppinion to be heard or at least heard properly.
  2. Just to get you thinking if you haven't already thought of it. A company car these days is worth a good $10k plus a year... tax free to you... Is that pay double before or after tax? Because as you would know, before tax its far from actually being double (and without trying to have a go, you know you can nail doing the job? because 3month probations can hurt you... just something to think about) That and well, you wont know anyone down there, so any money you make you will save, or spend on piss and become an alco... Also its a tops skim spot, so you could get really fit skimming, and Id come visit from time to time because its a tops skim spot. Guess the thing is, is the money worth it. Thats only something you can decide on.
  3. I've got bilsteins (sk group buy type thing) and they are the best for the money by far. I've also got big arse sway bars, 2 way diff, and supergrippy tyres. So it turns rather good. But yeah, whatever you do DONT GET PILLOW BALL STRUT TOPS!!! They are horrible bastard things.
  4. But does that really solve the problem? They wont really be better drivers, they will just be the ones that got driving lessons to get taught how to pass the test. Doesnt mean they are good drivers, just means they listened to the bits that mattered to pass the test. Its just like this 'new' ncap safety testing thing. Damn near on every car is getting 5stars these days on it. Simply because they build the car to get 5 stars on the THAT test as it seems to be the one that will sell the most cars. There are a number of tests/parts of a car that ncap doesnt cover...
  5. LoL, Josh probabaly managed to swap his nail clippers for them! HAHAHA! God damn Im THE funniest barstard on here!
  6. So instead of 4 fooli sik bros in one car, we'll get 4 fooli sik bros in two cars dragging each other. And more under 21's drink driving because they can't run a reasonable designated driver system, and can't rely on public transport to get them anywhere (let alone home). Can't see any dangers there........ Business as usual, then. .... Thats the big one for me hey, I think its being introduced here as well. The second I heard it I thought, do these people even think about the side effects of one choice they make. And well put bluntly, public transport might be bad down there, but at least it exists, here good luck. As we all know on here the only way to properly sort the problem is to teach people, and to change thier additude on the road. But as we also know, that costs money, and doesnt really win all that many votes, as 90% or so of the young drivers arent at voting age, registered to vote, or really care.
  7. Maybe its the whole skyline thing? Maybe they are considered a bigger risk to shannons rather than justcars? That or shannons just didnt like you? No idea hey.
  8. Well... If you look closely at the pic of the dash, he has a turbo timer or boost controller or something in the way of the tacho. So OBVIOUSLY he needs a monster tacho down near the passengers feet. And well if I did all that to a car, I surely would want to keep the standard steering wheel which has an airbag fitted for fear of people trying to run me off the road for wrecking thier day!
  9. You want ones that are a tight fit, and are hub centrifical (sp?). So the idea is to get them made up to suit your hubs and your wheels, and stud pattern. Also get longer studs to suit. I used to have some dodgy old rusted ones, then I got these other ones made up specifically for my car. That said, if your wheels clear the brakes, just leave it be, there is no reason for spacers.
  10. Has this item been used for cutting anything other than nails, at any stage?
  11. Im paying $1200 with shannons on the cef, agreed value, all mods listed, and im 22 with 2 technical losses of licence in the past 5 years. Car isnt garaged (carport off the street tho), and I had to bargin with them to get the rating one... That said just cars wanted $1250 to insure the car for $5k less than my agreed value with shannons, with half the mods listed, and Id been with them for the past 3 years with just the third party, which apparently made some difference... They also had a much higher excess. It seriously doesnt make sense to me.
  12. Next time give natural selection a helping hand! Just run the kid over, they are seriously a lot softer than polls, and the parents will probably be grateful that you got rid of thier little s-hit of a child and of the money they will save on juvinal lawyers bills. ps, I still have tears in my eyes from watching this weeks (as in 2007 series) topgear, so the spelling isnt too crash hot. Deadset this weeks topgear is the funniest ever, they make thier own shuttle and rocket!
  13. Would you be prepaired to swap for a larger pair of clippers? I was given a pair of larger clippers as an unwanted gift. They would be perfect for big toe nails. And by any chance do you have a left hand side cefiro air vent surround?
  14. I have very thick nails, both toe and finger... Will this item be able to cleanly cut through said nails. Also, I notice there is some rust on your product. I assume this is only surface rust, and not structural? And a quick tetanus jab would sort out any problems that may happy if skin not just nail was cut. Also! Does it come with instructions?
  15. Im running with the old 'you dont buy a fast car to not go fast' saying. A lot of it comes down to luck tho Im sure of it. 99% of us would have done stupid/'fun' stuff, just the time, place, and karma weither or not you get booked or not. And for the record I've only been pulled over once in my car in the past 3 years, I was speeding at the time. I also used to go to all the 'hot' spots and never once got even looked at twice much less pulled over. End of the day, its never going to change, if you dont like it sell the car and buy something else. I know you shouldnt have to, you should be able to have any car you want and not get hassled, but the world ain't perfect.
  16. A chicken snity! How big are we talking here? Whole chicken size or? I had one down in Yorkes, and dead set it was huge, I think they just somehow got the bones out of the chicken then crumbed it. We got photos?
  17. They'll be dips again by the end of tomorrow with all the over loaded trucks going over it.
  18. I think there was actually a ruling change kick in this year, as they worked out at long bloody last they need to get harder on drink drivers. So I dont think you (sorry your mate) can get anything now, its goneskis! That said, you/he would have been told in court if you/he were given a work licence. So I think its safe to say no he/you dont.
  19. Send me a PM dude with when your free etc. Only thing is with the RB20 the jimberry clutch would probably feel a lot harsher than on the RB26. But for me Id go a JimBerry or Nicks clutch clutch, then get whichever mechanic you trust to install it. But thats if it were my money, which it isnt.
  20. Without reading the rest of this thread, I think I have worked it out. Skyline drivers would seem to have a bad rep for being hoons as it would seem quite a number are actual hoons racing stuff here there and everywhere, then coming on here and braging about it. But hey, I could be wrong! haha!
  21. Which is more commonly called natural selection
  22. I think perfect street car is where you dont have to do anything (ie turn down boost) and can jump in it and go drive somewhere in almost any conditions and feel safe. ATM in my car I can give it full stick in the wet in 2nd with no wheel spin, and brake with resonable ease. And I dont have to wind down the boost. The power level would obviously be different in different cars. Do suspension mods instead. Do an exaust so it sounds fast. And get a nice quality stereo, think about how many hours you spend driving. But thats my oppinion.
  23. But if you go look at the other thread where seems a few skyliners are having a bit of fun on our streets, kinda understandable. Thing is the hoon laws are reasonable suspcion. So if the cops really thought you did it, the law is there to back them up.
  24. He's right. Work out your budget first, then put aside a fair wack for some sound deadening, install, etc then re look at your budget.
