  1. That is a great explanation! What about a torsion diff. like that offered by Quaife for FWD cars and front diffs. for 4WD cars? Is there a significant advantage of a torsion diff. over a 1.0 way for the front differential on a GTR?
  2. You are starting to sway me Nismoid with your -9's theory. Lean on them enough, E85 (or race fuel on the track) with built engine and appropriate headwork... 350kW, maybe? Full boost 3.5k and rev to 8k only for reliability, less stress on every other part of the drivetrain... Anyway, don't stress and do something silly, take it to your tuner and tell him what is on your mind. Ask dumb questions otherwise you won't learn.
  3. I prefer 18's or even 17's with more tyre like this one: But, what ever floats your boat, is a lovely clean example of an R33 GTR good luck to you!
  4. Generally in hydraulics we (at work) always have a larger hose and fittings on the return as a good practice measure.
  5. Very nice GTR, change the wheels though
  6. Sump, diff and front shaft sold to me... cheers Mark!
  7. Can some one take the initiative to get glass ones made using the plastic ones as templates? Someone else do it then I will buy them
  8. No not me... I was there for work for a few days. Hope you get it sorted mate!
  9. Speak to Brett West at Adelaide Performance Engineers (Graham West Workshops) see what he can do. I was in Burnie a few months ago, nice little town!
  10. Could rip it out and get it rebuilt, might be easier to pick up a second hand one though.
  11. Wow... brilliant photos. I would love to go next year or possibly the following... What are the size of those RAYS wheels? They are f**king awesome!
  12. Go bushes at max setting, otherwise get rose jointed crap and be prepared to change them when they break.
  13. 700hp that is over 520kW, at the wheels? Come on Nismoid, you don't really believe that do you... race fuel much? At 450hp that works out to be about 50lbs/min worth of air, smack bang in the middle of the -5's efficiency island, you dont have to lean on the turbos to get the power you wantand plently of headroom for more power at a later stage.
  14. I think that is a good choice, leaves room for more power later and at least you wont have to lean on the turbos much to get 300-330kW before you build your engine (if you want to). Lower boost pressure, lower intake temps and at at around 330kW you will be bang in the middle of their efficiency island.
  15. I do not even think you can get genuine new HKS 2530's anymore
  16. Can't help with the question but can you share any more details with the intake manifold you are designing... single TB?
  17. Price drop on items: Bumper: $1000 Tub/tray: $2000 Super cheap OEM Ford!!!!! Call/SMS/PM Mike 0432 562 025
  18. So what are you thinking Lith, decent twin scroll manifold (i.e. Full-Race or similar) twin wastegates and GT3076R with 1.06a/a T4 divided on a stock stroke RB26 with its six throttle bodies?
  19. Curse you bomberman! You should have kept the Apexi VMAX crank!!!!! In seriousness, this is one of the best builds on this forum, great work. Mike
  20. What about a complete door like the ones offered by Knight Racer in the UK? That would be the best for weight saving!
  21. That is more than competitively priced... Are we talking billet 4340 (not out of a Chinese steel mill) machined, nitrided, ground... etc etc?
