  1. You can get a D-Jetro PFC and not get the Nismo AFM's then spend that on exhaust. Or for $1800+$800 you can get a Vipec V88 so you can still use the knock sensors to pull timing if you get a bad batch of fuel plus it is a much more capable ECU than the PFC.
  2. Is it a branded titanium exhaust or a custom job and what size tube?
  3. What was your opinion on the work done by Walker Chassis mate? Feel free to PM if you don't mind. Mike
  4. All the best Paul, you definitely deserve the result you are chasing!
  5. Good old MHI bush bearing awesomeness!
  6. Yeah noticed those photos from the HKS day in Japan. What are the advantages of a high pressure fuel injection system?
  7. But that is gearbox out to replace the dog rings every 2000kms what kind of maintenance cost is that?
  8. Nissan do not list a separate part for the ball joint they list the control arm with the ball joint fitted and they are expensive. You can buy aftermarket ball joints and just press out the old ones and press the new ones in. I got mine from my local suspension place.
  9. Great work so far! It would be good to see some examples of front double wishbone set ups on R32/R33/R34 GTR's but I think some people keep the details close to their chest. I for one would be interested to know if it can be done using the standard strut towers and pick up points (inner) for the front upper control arms.
  10. Nothing a bit of insertion rubber and a couple of hose clamps can't fix!
  11. Don't waste your money, get a Bosch 044 and mount it in tank with a relay so it gets full battery voltage. Look in DIY section.
  12. This Step 0 seems like a big of an oddball... http://www.hks-power.co.jp/db/product/file...4-AN009_012.pdf Surely HKS are under rating the capabilities of the kit?
  13. $800 a pair... plus labour to rebuild/balance. Maybe you can fit MHI wheels in there they are half that price!
  14. Are the doors and such made from fibreglass with a carbon fibre skin or is it all constructed out of carbon?
  15. Surely you can have them rebuilt with new wheels only and not have to change cartridges. If so you should be right otherwise I would go single too, sell off the dumps, front pipes, manifolds and turbos and you should recoup some of the cost.
  16. $11k sounds like a fair price, it would be at least $3-4k for material and maybe 60-70 hours on a CNC machine at $80/hr.
  17. Do you still use the OEM steel crank girdle or do you get a billet aluminium one too? I would not think there would be much of a weight saving otherwise, and for $11k I would rather grout an 05U block, chuck in some steel sleeves and spend the extra money elsewhere. edit: Paul, are your heads done by hand or you have a CNC program?
  18. If an RB26 block comes in below five figures I would be f**king surprised. Absolutely super cool though! Money no object anyone...?
  19. I put in a Bosch 044 and even with the extra Speedflow fittings and such it still worked out $150 cheaper than the Nismo pump, plus if it goes south it is cheap to replace! I think it would be good practice to measure the fuel pressure with the new pump and make sure that the standard reg. is doing its job, even better practice to replace it however I need new tyres
  20. Any more details on the exhaust?
