Throttle Bodies ? What Brand Would U Recomend?
KiwiRS4T replied to tazzy's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Got a $30 adapter to use my stock throttle body with my Greddy copy FFP. -
I would change the rims for something in 18s or 17s( I run 17 x 9) - the very low profile dictated by the large diameter will be giving you a rough ride. But to address your tyre wear problems you need a wheel alignment (ask around for the best Suspension shop in Townsville) and they will tell you if there is not enough adjustment what aftermarket parts you need to get there. But post up their suggestions before you spend the cash in case they are having you on.

Sell the tyres and buy some proper ones. 235 or 245 would be better.

You've probably seen the pics of utes that are floating around. Just have to find room for the Atessa reservoir (on the right) and the attessa ecu (in the left) and reroute all the wiring - definitely do-able!!

A screamer pipe in NZ is classified as an exhaust pipe and therefore subject to the same requirements - noise, emissions, positioning of outlet.
-
That will be great - you will be doing a lot of people a favour if you make one mod at a time and dyno after each - you may need to touch up your tune after doing just the exhaust to account for the extra flow. Looking forward to seeing the results - my money's also on the exhaust doing the most but always ready to be proved wrong by hard evidence!

Hi Wolverine Can't reply to posts atm. I should have bought a Rips short block but thought it would be quicker to buy someone elses half completed engine - big mistake. Have cobbled it together with bits and pieces and it will be fine but have to pull it out again to do oil control measures as on the track it just fills the head with oil and I go out in a cloud of smoke. I know what has to be done - just thinking about getting some forged pistons while its out but money is in very short supply! Car is much faster and I only ever wanted 300 -330awk (well I wanted 600 but figured I couldn't afford that!). Getting some timing gear so I can post up some track times and when it is sorted I will do some club racing just for fun. Most engine details are in my sig. I have also got a Kevlar single plate clutch, R33 GTR gearbox, R32GTR LSD and halfshafts D2 8 pot brakes front and GTR 2 pot rears GTR master cylinder SK sway bar kit Cusco front camber and castor arms rear camber arms Bilsteins and Tein springs and a pair of Recaros (its my daily as well). Still have Setrab oil cooler wih Earls thermostat to install and a small oil cooler for the power steering Almost there!

Yep a few more reports in the bug section. Don't think its the browser as I downloaded Safari and it didn't help. Have had reports from a number of different browser users and even Mac users.

You or they will have to get the sump adapter plate. Depending on use think about a sump extension and dependant on oil pump and use have a read of the oil control thread. Definitely enlarge and relieve the oil drains and fit restrictors to the feeds. Make provision for a sump breather near the dipstick ...running to a catch can I believe is fine or to the back of the head if you think it works as a drain as well. Otherwise as per pdf But - choose pistons carefully for RB30 -neo head combination.
-
Who's idea was it to put 30DET pistons in it? Rips could sell you an RB30 with 400kw for half what you have spent. Still you have some good gear just need to get it sorted Cam timing could be way out. If tuners won't tune with the adjustable cam gears they are either too lazy or don't know enough. Can't really help you from here but get some advice on a good workshop and take it there even its many miles away!!! Good luck - it will come together if you get the right workshop/mechanic/tuner.

Unable To Post New Thread Via Pc
KiwiRS4T replied to 8110's topic in Site discussion - including Ideas/Feedback & Bugs
I am using Windows 7 fully updated and IE and having similar problems to 8110 and elrodeo666: 1. The site often appears to use just the middle third of the screen but sometimes back to normal 2. I 99% can't access my PMs unless some one sends me a message and then I am able to reply. 3. If I hit reply button no window appears although sometimes I can use the fast reply box (as now if this works) 4. I can't edit my own posts 5. (not a ver y new problem) if I try to close links I have opened the this website closes instead 6. I tried to open a thread in this section but just got a "poll" box but couldn't even post in that 7. I downloaded "Safari" but then i couldn't even get the sign in box. I hate to complain about the site because I appreciate what a valuable resource it is and how much time people put into it but the above are very frustrating! regards Bob -
OK I can't even open a thread in the Site Maintainence/bugs section. Could someone who has no problems kindly paste a link to this thread in that section? Thanks Bob http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/384869-problems-with-this-site/page__gopid__6139284#entry6139284

Thanks mate - I'm not going mad! Loaded latest update for Windows 7 (which displays all other sites with no problems) and then down loaded Safari - which is even worse - can't even log in! Will try to make a note in the admin section.

Anyone else experiencing problems with this site or is my computer bugged? 1. it often does not display properly - just a narrow band on the middle of the page. 2. Mostly I cannot access my messages unless some PMs me in which case i can reply 3. Sometimes I cannot reply to posts 4 Often I cannot edit my own posts A different issue which has been going on for some time is that when I try to close links which have been posted the website cloess instead of the link. Anyone else had any of these problems??

Bigger injectors and Z32afm will not give you any more power with the stock turbo. It would be better to spend the money on a turbo or just a better tune - I would have thought you could get at least 200awkw from your neo engine. With a better turbo ( ideally a new one but Hypergear ones seem to do the job) you can just wind up the boost and tune till you max out the injectors and/or afm - say 220 - 230awkw. Then if you want later you can get the Z32 afm and some bigger injectors and go for broke. Ask around for the best tuner in Adelaide (preferably an Rb specialist) as a really good tune is the key to safe maximum performance.

Read the RB30 Pdf. For the price of a conversion to a tired RB26 you can get a forged RB30 built at your leisure and then just pull your engine and stick the head on the 30 and away you go. The extra torque and fresh engine will be a huge advance and if you want more power later you have the basis for an easy 300- 400kw (or more).

Series 1 And 2 Manifold/fuel Rail Differences Differences
KiwiRS4T replied to filo_a31's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I have a Greddy copy that works fine with my 550 Deatschwerks injectors but I am aware that there are a number of different copies on the market some not so good as others.
