Engine power from V8s is no prob, especially with performance shops like Harrop's, Air Power Systems that super/turbocharge. It's traction from only 2 wheels that the problem. The only thing made in China in my GTR is me Some parts made in China might be nearly as good as Jap ones, but some won't. What you pay for with the famous Jap brands is peace of mind that all of them will be consistently performing in terms of quality and reliability above a minimum standard, which is higher than Chinese-spec parts. IMHO, it's just not worth the hassle and potential problems later on.

I like the aggressive JGTC look. You could fit sticky tyres >325 wide under those fenders and just grip all day long. Even if some don't like it, you have to admit, you would never see anything like it on the street. At least you wouldn't get craptastic riced to the max lancers/corollas trying to race you at the lights.

Hmm.. well it finished charging. Will try to put it back later today. I was hoping to put in a yellow top as you suggested (although I still think $360 for a battery is quite steep), but the battery cables aren't long enough to accomodate a bigger battery, and I'd have to change ther terminal rings to bigger ones as well. Ground cable connection, which I could possibly replace to accomodate a bigger battery. +ve terminal connection The positive terminal is wired into this power supply thing. Try as I might, I cannot remove it. This is a bummer as it means I am restricted to buying batteries only as high as my old tiny battery, as there is no slack in the wire when the battery is there. Apart from the +ve and -ve terminals, there is a drain tube of some sort going into the battery which slots into this hole in the battery I have no idea what this is... is this for leaking acid or something? I would have thought the Pitwork battery that Nissan put in the stock GTR would have been a sealed type, and wouldn't need this.

Ok, I bought a Projecta 4300mAmp charger, but when I try to charge the battery from either the bonnet terminals or directly on the battery terminals, the power light is on the charger but it is not charging. The manual said that this may be the case if the battery is truly dead, and cannot be recharged. Fair enough. I spend an hour removing the pain in the ass metal plate in the boot and remove the battery. Lo and behold, the battery is able to be charged after it has been removed from the car. What does this mean????

My phone calls have always been answered very quickly, so I have had no problems. +1 for racepace. You just can't beat the experience of exclusively tuning skylines, and mostly GTRs for many years. I just wished it was closer to where I live.
