XR6T is one of the best value falcowhores you can get. Was looking at buying one of these babies years ago when they came out. The engine and transmission in the XR6T were light years ahead of the crappy pushrod lumps of irons in the local V8s when it came out. It is very easy to make big power out of the engine with just bolt-ons. Air Power Systems have very comprehensive, banf-for-your buck kits eg., 390kw and 10 sec car with bolt-ons http://www.airpowersystems.com/falcon/xr6turbo.htm I believe some of their milder stage I systems are street legal... Whack on a whiteline suspension kit, AP brakes and you're good to go.

Only thing I can think of is that they are planning to film other scenes in Melb too. Does your GF know if this is true? Do extras in movies get paid? Cool. Dunno how our Lonsdale St fared for a street in Boston where it's friggin cramped for a US city but I guess that part of Lonsdale under construction can pass for Boston. Apart from the unis, clam chowder and lobster, nothing too special about it when I went there.

Hmm.. ok, just hope we get to keep it. I for one don't mind at all a night GP.

1. White wingless R34 - parked on Elizabeth St this morning near the Vicmarket Macca's 2. Black R33 GTR in Newport around lunchtime, driven by girl with specs and white baseball cap and male passenger.

The best would be the system that the Toyota concept car a few years back had - being able to see where your friends were on GPS. The technology is there - if everyone on SAU got a GPS and transmitter we would never get lost at meets cuz all the others would show up on GPS. And the spotted thread would be ten times longer.... and for bored people you could play flash tiggy on the back streets. (When you get hit with high beams, you're "it").

That mirrored R34 looks awesome. Pity it's about as street legal as a washing machine. I can just imagine people driving past it at sunset.... ahh! my eyes! they're burning!

I thought that TV broadcasters overseas had to pay the GP organisers for the rights to broadcast live back in their countries. I'm sure otherwise overseas TV cameras won't be allowed in the media pits in the GP. Obviously the bigger the potential audience in an overseas country the more money the GP organisers will demand from broadcasters.

Weren't twin turbo supras more expensive than R32 GTRs when they came out though? I might be mistaken. Not exactly sure why Skylines would be suffering more than Supras.
