    139k Jdm

if my R35 is worth $120k in two years time, i would be pretty happy with that.
  4. Out of interest Stuart how much power does your car make? Also (sorry, i know i've aksed this twice before) what wheels are you running and do you have a contact? Cheers mate.
  5. True. i could probably carry another 20km/hr through turn 1, or more, can't wait to get back out there.
  6. Stuart here is the video of our run on Sunday mate:

    Track Wheels

Marek, Apart from Donnellans, Jax tyres have them advertised on their website (Enkie's) and tech9tyres sell them too. However i guess the problem is supply? Unless they have them on the shelf maybe there are none around?
  8. Here's something for you guys Guess what the basic price of the R35 is on my tax invoice.. $118K Now that is EXCLUDING LCT, GST, DD & Rego That's right.. fees, charges and taxes add about $50k to the price tag!! I think it's pretty amazing that Nissan land the car here for less than $118k really. It's probably closer to $100~$110k considering there must be a markup in there.
  9. Ahh Stuart! Yes i am currently uploading some interesting video of our little run... you freaked me out with two wheels on the dirt after turn 1, i thought you were going to turn the car around for sure. Keep a look out for the video soon, i have it all on tape!
  10. thanks Jeff. Whilst i havent done many laps at EC, it wasn't my first time there (it was in this car though). I think i've done 1000+ laps of Wakefield though, where i managed a low 1:05 What's happening on June 24? and what track wheels/tyres are you going with?
  11. Jeff, i managed a 1:45.4 at practice last week however that was a) with a few clean laps and b) RE55's I have the GPS/Driftbox data, so if you have same we could compare. I havent tried the stocker bridgestones, and the be frank i dont think i could manage a 1:46.x with them really, so i think you're doing well with a 1:46.8 (easily better than i ). FWIW, i could only manage about 235km/hr on the straight, i think the gearing of the 18" track wheels doesnt help for such a long straight. On another note, the highest speed i was doing through turn one was about 170km/hr. I havent done many laps of EC, i need to grow some balls for turn one - that is hurting my times big time. I think there should be a mid-1:44 in it with fresh 55's and some clear track, perhaps better. I just need to grow some gonads for turn one. We had a supersprint on Sunday and the best i could manage was a 1:46.7. I had 5 sessions all day (15 laps, 3 hot laps per session) and for most of the laps i was held up. For those two or three clean laps, i just didnt make them count. I just couldnt match the time from practice. Maybe next time Anyway the car held up good and tranny temps seemed quite manageable within the supersprint format. I also swapped out my pads for some Carbotech XP12'and to be frank, i don't think it was worth it. The brakes felf spongy and just less progressive than the stocker pads. But that's another story.
  12. Sounds like you did well Gibbo, nice work. Did you use 6th gear on the main straight?
  13. Interesting Jeff, thanks. What tyres? Btw what have you been told about street vs track setup (in terms of camber) i heard there is next to nothing in it. Maybe .2 to .4 of a degree for a total of about 1.7* - personally i think it's almost a waste of time. I am looking into an upper control arm mod to get some decent camber. ps. how much speed were you carrying down the front straight, and then into turn 1 approx?
  14. Interested to see if anyone has run their R35 at Eastern Creek Circuit? if so, interested in your lap times. I am heading out there and need a benchmark. Thoughts? the car is 100% stock, except for RE55's
  15. What's the base list price? around $250~$260k i would hazard a guess about $300k by the time you get it on the road.
  16. I didnt negotiate at all, but i placed the order as soon as they would take them, so perhaps that was a factor (the price was a bit spongy at that early stage, but they wanted to lock people in too). And remember there has been a price rise since.
  17. I paid $167k drive away. Gun Metal, premium.
  18. Interesting thanks! Dunno about the 350/370 interior pics?
  19. at the end of the day the numbers will be strictly limited - to the number they can sell! as someone already hinted, i think they've already sold 80% of the R35's they will ever sell here
  20. It doesnt matter how fast you think you are there is always someone faster! Heck, there are stripper MX5's which will teach a GTR a lesson around a race track. Anyway, I can think of a few tests where the GT2 marginally beat the GTR, so yeah the GT2 is faster, and i would hazard a guess a better built car. It would want to be for about $500k drive away too. The fact they are even comparing them is incredible really.
  21. Before the price rise i think people were paying $165~$170k drive away. However that included a rather inflated DD of between $5k to $10k. I dunno what the situation is with supply (are they building/ordering cars in without deposited contracts?). I would figure about $175k.
  22. i havent read the article, but a friend has told me the GTR performance numbers are off, apparently they couldnt get the launch control to work? There is a little trick to getting it to work (with LC2) and i think that has possibly skewed the straight line peprformance outcomes in this article.
  23. That's what i was told too, before the "production cut" ie. GFC effects. I think the numbers might be lower than that
  24. I think you might be wrong about why "most people" buy an R35. I know a couple of people who have them, and they are primarily interested in track results first and foremost. Real posers just don't a Nissan, trust me. There are far more credible six figure badges which are much more socially palatable. Writing a review like that, which puts the fair majority of the analysis on how it drives on the road is stupid. It's like judging your supermodel wife on how she cleans the dishes. Dumb, and besides the point entirely. So if that was his intention, it was misplaced and just inappropriate. Especially considering this car has just reset the benchmark for some of the worlds most iconic sports cars. And just to echo something others have raised, you barely see Lambo's and GT3's etc written off because they just arent as engaging as a Subaru Brumby when gong to fetch the milk. Good son of rajab. This guy has a (not so) hidden agenda against GTR's - simple as that. Do some research into past GTR ramblings.

Any news i wonder? Reading NAGTROC, it seems most people running the COBB AP, well the boost cut problem still seems prevalent? people complaining they regularly get boost cut on the track, i thought they sorted that out months ago? Anyone run a COBB on an ADM car, did it work seamlessly?
