  1. Cheers for the info guys I was born in the uk so should be able to arrange to have it put in my name over there then and work out the shipping cost
  2. just to clear up the misinformation from StageaMang The impeller is made from nylon, the rear from ceramic, you won't "melt" the nylon because its on the intake side of the turbo if you get enough heat into the turbo tho, you will melt the glue that holds the wheels onto the shaft a hypergear highflow is about $800, nistune + tune is around $1000, add a new fuel pump for safety for $200 and you can have around 200awkw for a decent price (assuming you have an aftermarket exhaust already) i've put around 40,000kms on mine, driven from the gold coast to tassie and back twice, used it as my daily to get to uni and deliver pizzas and its been great only things i've had to change are: timing belt (100,000kms service, got a free waterpump with it so changed that too, whole kit was $260 out of the US! INCLUDING A GENUINE WATERPUMP!!!) new radiator (top tank cracked, $220 for a kotorad radiator off ebay) lots of oil changes (i change at 5000 kms because i use a semi-syn, but its overkill really) new o2 sensor (only about $70 and most of them need doing anyway) because of the parts interchangeability you can upgrade things really easily, and quite cheaply too so maybe look out for one with a few things done to it already and same some $$$
  3. i'll give you some cash for the head if you get one with a good head on it
  4. there is actually 2 idle devices aac - aux air control and iacv - idle air control valve in r34's they integrated them but the aac i believe is the one under the manifold that brings the revs up when you cold start, iacv is the one bolted to the back of the intake manifold
  5. r34 cats are 20mm different (i forget which way) than r33 ones check justjap because they say their lengths on some of the cats there
  6. check for a loose ground wire for the temp sensor my stagea has an extra sensor on the oil cooler/heat exchanger, no wires going to it at all, just a single pin sensor sticking out
  7. would it work if you pulled the cooler pipes off, chuck a bit of hose onto the return point on the trans you new hose goes into the new bottle of oil, the return goes into the bucket/oil pan then run the car with someone watching the new bottle so it sucks up clean stuff and spits the old stuff into the waste bucket/pan
  8. Hey guys My Dad still lives in the uk and is thinking about getting a new car At the moment he drives an x3, but he bought a petrol one and so its resale value is about 5000gbp or aprox $7500 AUD (private sale, everyone loves diesels over there) Seeing as he won't get much for it, he said we could look at bringing it over to aus and i could have it for free How much am I looking at for importing a vehicle from the uk, i had a look around but everyone wants to fill in forms just to get a quote Also, would i have to put it into my name over there and wait the year? or could he just do the paper work and put it in my name over here? Cheers, Tom
  9. as stated before http://nissan.epc-data.com/skyline/er34/3944-rb25det/engine/150/15010/ the r34 is listed as having the r33 pump number also, if the pump hasen't broken yet, why would you replace it with one that have been reported to fail quite often?
  10. probably the radiator mine (50mm jjr one) got clogged (flushed the system with the cleaner stuff before i put the new rad on, but it just loosened it all up and eventually washed it into the new rad) see if you can get it cleaned out i ended up getting a new stock size rad off ebay (koyorad) for about AU$220 (the top tank split on my old stocker, hence the new alloy one)
  11. quiet diff lowered springs blue s2 bonnet washer bottle (with non leaking pump) oh, and some spring compressors
  12. Anyone got some r31 parts? or a vlt setup?
  13. There are a few off the shelf systems that have mufflers at the rear instead of a cannon check out sites like www.justjap.com.au and have a browse of their selection

  16. Wanted: Cheap MIG welder
  17. yeah i've done a tiny bit of arc welding and i've got a tonne of rods (but no welder) i don't think i could arc the 31 tho because the pannels must only be 1-1.5mm thick (rods are 2.5 so way too beefy) anyone selling a cheap mig welder?
  18. Dunno if you guys are still having issues but... grab something heavy like a socket some string and a ruler (pref a metal one which has 0 on the very end) then, dangle your new improvised plum-bob from the guard and measure the distance from the string to rim note down the distances retreat inside to you computer and navigate to www.willtheyfit.com input your stock wheel specs and play around with offsets and sizes until you get a fitment you think will be good (increase in "poke" will show you how much further out you can go)
  19. So I cut into the rust hand now my car has a big hole Who wants to make some $$$ and weld some plate back in?Im thinking about buying a cheap mig and giving it a go myself but I know that the thin steel and lack of experience will be a bit tricky

  22. U were given r32 gtr then, unless it came from Nissan Give your vin to kudos and they will fast it and get you the right part cheaper than nissan
