  1. I think the Beema was under 1000kgs.
  2. Haha - all the more reason to read the 1st paragraph of the original post then hey
  3. Pierre - you went to a special school for the gifted hey?
  4. Come April 26th then - noise isn't an issue
  5. I remember speaking to Sam at PI last year and he was saying the problem with the GT-R's is mid-corner speed (due to weight) which is why the BMW is so much faster around Winton. He said the mid-corner capabilites of that car destoyed the GT-R.
  6. Don't use my times - I'm a hack. And half of my times are in other peoples cars. Use JP's times for a better indication. Whats he - 43's at EC and 45's at PI - both of those are "grip" tracks which I think is similar to OP right. (not like say Sandown which is purely HP). So having a look at Johns times at OP and then going by what the "fast" guys do at PI an EC do I reckon a time around 1.12 is going to be pretty damn competative.
  7. James used to run them on his EVO. They were good enough for me to win a DECA day on in his car - but you will be crying like a girl all weekend Jack if you go the street class option with the lack of grip compared to what you are used to. The question I think you need to ask yourself Jack - especially for this first one - is do you really want to go and spend $2-3K on a set of tyres for the chance to win $500 and a plastic trophy OR do you go with your car as you really use it and see exactly where it stacks up to the big competition and otherwise have some fun. Thats the question I'd face as well.
  8. Haha - yep so if you don't like the tyre rules feel free to vent at me But I'm pretty sure everyone will be happy with them now and there should be no real complaints. Same rules as we run in our comps and it works perfectly.
  9. You want a power fc. Not only will the power be fine but it will do all the "nice" things that you want in an everyday car.
  10. Jeebuz - thats nearly double the power/weight of my car. That must be SOOO exciting to drive through the back kink in.
  11. Power/Weight of that thing must be insane.
  12. Good luck with it all. Hopefully it takes off and I can make the 2nd one.
  13. Think you'll find it was 3 times even
  14. My 2c - I had a hydro and went back to a good cable / drum set-up with GOOD pads. (Tried the URAS but like the Projct Mu ones better) I actually find it heaps better than the hydro on a skyline. The problem you have now (loss of lock up) isn't cable strech its the normal pads overheating. These "drift" pads are a high friction / higher temp pad. I used to have the same issues for my khana stuff but I have no pad fade at all with the Project Mu pads (I got them from greenline fyi)
  15. I presume you have tried Stuckeys? http://www.stuckey.com.au/
  16. Here's a couple of little turn 1 pics. F1 cars really do fall apart well don't they
  17. Here's a couple of pics I have from yesterday.
  18. Airconditioning was greater than any trophy could be yesterday
  19. He robbed himself (he accidently hit the pit speed limiter going down the main straight hence why Alonso passed him back)
  20. It's also not cheaper than Nissan will be selling them for.
  21. How many other people were smart enough to get in there car and leave straight away? I was home on the couch by 6:30 which was definitely FTW. But I was spewing there wasn't a trophy for the car with the most amount of stuff written in the dust on it. I would have been a shoe in.
  22. Scott - I didn't clip/hit anything. I had just pulled out of a slide on a skidpan but I was just straightening up when it went off and I really wasn't going fast at all (like I don't think I was even going fast enough that the airbag should have deployed even if I'd crashed straight into a tree).
  23. Yeah because if you are after parts etc you can't go past John at UAS in Syd.
  24. April is usually a good time to go for the weather (it should be warm but not so wet) - however the reef isn't super great at that time of the year as all the rain makes visibility pretty crap. The best time for going to the reef is usually October as the water is clear and the winds are low. However - April is the bst time to go if they want to look at all the falls (there's HEAPS of them up in that area) and rain forresty stuff - plus if they want to try and catch a barra April is usually the best month for that.
  25. Geez - as much as everyone is calling Shenanigans here hasn't anyone wondered why the black Fabcar one has been to the drags and the track and to AHG but yet the Silver one hasn't moved an inch?
