  1. ^^^^ I get it all the time. Even had an L plater in a V6 commodore. As if i'm going to lose my licence to beat a stock commodore.
  2. I would say just idle (which is nothing special). Do we remember what Guilttoy went through to get his fully compliant and only on E85?
  3. Never do simple jobs when you know you will need the vehicle. How many times I have done a 5 min job b4 camping or a big trip and it turns to shit.
  4. You really should undo the waste gate flap so it can't boost any more. It is run in enough now
  5. Steeper street = more load = more boost. Please don't blow this engine!
  6. Is your engine still untuned?? Test the oil level in the same spot to give a better indication.
  7. How big is big? Are the solid or just bits of sealant?
  8. If your only taking it to get tuned i wouldnt worry and just let him do it. Your only going to baby it there anyway. You could dump the oil and filter and have a look to see for anything abnormal. Sounds like it has gone well.
  9. Good to see it started (always helps) How did you run it in? I thought you were getting it tuned first. Can probably dump the oil and filter now and take it for a tune.
  10. Cover stays off so I just unplug the loom to the coils, Unbolt the rails that the coils are on, pull them out and then just undo the spark plugs. I'm not seeing the hard side. The cross over pipe is only on top of one plug and for that one i use a $2 uni joint on my ratchet.
  11. I'm not sure what the big deal is about changing plugs? 5 of them will take the same time and for the 6th it takes an extra 15 seconds when you attach the uni joint to your socket!
  12. I'm pretty sure he means while he drives it to the tuner? A lot of selective reading on here.
  13. When i first got mine tuned i just drove it to the tuner with the wastegate flap unhooked so it wouldnt make boost and just drove it very easy. Your not going to do any damage like that.
  14. If his torque wrench is anything like mine I can see how the mistake can be made.
  15. OOwww thats a bit shit. Might have to get a few new bolts.
  16. I'm not sure but there was a thread on it recently. Ask the machine shop what they think.
  17. ^^^^^ But it maybe possible for him to make more with a few mods and good filter
  18. I did similar to Hypergear but cut my holes up near where the snorkel attaches (hard to see unless you look) and also put some holes in the snorkel itself as it seems to constrict inside. Definite improvement and brought back a missfire that i have now sorted. Have not been on a dyno though.
  19. I have the silicon intake from ebay and it never sucks in like my stock one with the $5 mod.
  20. No idea, just go in and they will look it up
  21. Go to repco or somewhere similar. No need for genuine.
