  1. Well why doesn't it fall off when I ground the car out, should come off like a silk sheet???? I'll be happy to talk theory with you over amber brain food sometime.......lol
  2. Me too, there's sh1tloads of stuff I don't know [like why do ppl like rap, and why does dust blow onto your 'line, but no matter how fast you drive it won't blow off]. But one day I'll ring Dr Karl and he can tell me. Yeah, and idea of the prices etc would be very very handy, and a handle on what u get for yr $$$$, type of food, accom etc i'll leave it in yr capable hands.....................lol
  3. Tumut is 40km from LH, there are several Premium/Ultimate/Ultra outlets. I won't need to worry about being towed. And I'll buy all breakdowns for spares.......lol. Tumbarumba would likely have a premium outlet as well, it would be 25km away. I thought it was just rural 'liners with a few ACT and others coming along for the party, I wasn't thinking mega show/national. A national would have to be at a large centre such as Wagga/Canberra etc [as I've already posted]. We'd all be f#*ked in LH with 300+ people, way too much work for us anyway. Commemorative badges, insurance, timetables, bankbooks for prepaids, working capital etc etc it would take 20+ people that knew what they were doing.
  4. WoooWoooWooo..........back up, nobody wasn't talkin' about a national event, that is way more than we were aiming for. This is just a rural 'liners day/weekend. Lets do what we can afford. Lets crawl first, then we can walk later. I've seen events that went in big first up and loose heaps $$$$, fold and never happen again. I would rather build the event up gradually and increase catering, and venue size as participant level increased. But I'm not aiming for a national event at this stage. LH would struggle to cater for 100-200. I was thinking more 50-100 max. Anyway most car clubs have a roving national event, this lets everyone attend at least one or two every 5 years. IE Albury one year, Toowoomba the next, Kalgoorlie, then Alice Springs, then Dubbo, Grafton, Mildura etc etc etc. If it is a truely national event it has to be bipartisan and available for ALL members at some stage. If anyone here has strong ideals about this then they are more than welcome to assume control and run with their dreams. I guess the meeting on the 30th will sort out the direction we are to take and who will do what and when. Lets not overextend our abilities just yet. I urge and vote for some caution. Al, everything you say is good, and a national event would be ideal, but it was never the intent to go that far just yet. Anyway, if we were to plan a national event of some type, then all states would have to be involved in the planning. How about this: SAU use the LH weekend to meet and thrash out and plan a national meeting. That way Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide etc reps could meet and get the ball rolling - effectively paggybacking on our smaller more social event.
  5. Media, I vote for Jane Spiteri, or Jessica Rowe.
  6. Jeez they must be running out of good cars to show, reckon they could've found a V8 ute or something, bl00dy old skyline?????????? Nah, just kiddin', always is a tidy unit yours, congrats, and choccy bickies, bribery, bet it works. You realise this is just a start. I'll have to get a copy 2moro.
  7. Gr33ddy, I posted on the NSW and Vic section, didn't know you guys had a thread going, I posted early on it but haven't been back since, so didn't realise the growth in the SC area. We really don't have anything to post yet, thats what the meeting on the 30th is about. Once we settle on date/s, venue, and type of function we will be posting. I'll put a link in to here on the SC thread for those interested, but it's really only a fyi at the moment.
  8. On another note, there are street drags at Narrandera airport on 23rd January, I'll be there, not racing this year, waiting on my pfc etc but it should be an OK day.
  9. Love the thread, straight out of 'Acropolis Now', waiting' for nick and effie's reply.
  10. If anybody see's any other Skylines and would like to tell them about this meeting, print out the attached 'flyer' and hand it to them or put it under their windscreen wiper. I've been at Prank to design and make up some greeting, business cards that we could use for this sort of thing, but the idea is still just that at the moment, an idea. It will happen, but it needs an SAU approach with one card design, not a piecemeal effort by heaps of ppl and zillionz of types.
  11. This has probably already been answered, but it it is on the Sturt Highway, 10 km Sydney-Gundagai-Canberra side of Wagga.
  12. Clubby, kill switch, and a cable lock around the steering wheel to clutch and brake levers, no alarm [who pays attention to 'em anyway]. They'll still steal it if they really want to, but it makes it a bit harder.
  13. Nah, it's a stick line, like a stick horse, for stick figures, who all live on sticky date pudding, and stick it up everything, because they are all stuck up, AAAAhhhh jeez I'm so stick of it............ Otherwise benm is correct, won't know a big diff till you add a fmic evc and boost it up.
  14. Yeah sounds kewl, but lets have a meeting about it with the rest of the 'local gang' and sort it out. If you could bring some accom. prices to the table so we know what we are looking at, that would be a start. I reckon a meeting at the Shanty pub on Sunday the 30th Jan start at 1200 midday. I'll talk to Mick Neason and see if we can get a corner of the dining room. If anybody here reckons otherwise please speak out. If I don't hear any different within a week [11th next Friday], I'll go ahead with it. Then I reckon we'll be able to really organise a weekend bash. We have to think about food, drink, entertainment, and accommodation. Probably need deposits from those attending so we know exactly who's coming. And, we are all different, all ages, and ethnic backgrounds etc etc etc so whatever we do we have to do for everyone. We all have or admire Skylines though..................
  15. u don't even know wot yr gettin' into yet...lol Up there for enthusiasm leech, good to see.........
  16. I like your thinking, if we get enough ppl interested, it would be ideal for a weekend meet/party.
  17. Been sort of hanging off, too hot [not today though], and locusts. When the little bu99ers die out a bit we'll get going no probs.
  18. He's very likely got a pump he has been stuck with and wants to offload.................happens all the time. He'll get rid of it to some newb eventually, in the meantime he checks you out and decides if your a sucker or not. If he offers you the pump [or whatever item] then he thinks your a sucker = get another mechanic and let him see if he thinks your pump is suss [no hinting].
  19. No bloody chance, you'd be too busy slave building a bridge over the River Kwai, and eating kebabs till you was sh1tting pita rolls................ Ohh and did I mention Saki, no wonder the japs wanted out, saki is one nippon product the world is finished with before it started, you'd drink wood alcohol or metholated spirits before saki [woeful stuff, poor excuse for alcoholic beverage].
  20. Jeez, I walked a three legged horse through the pouring rain just to get to school and fought in four world wars just for you young un's to have a better life and thats the thanks I get, shoulda let the bloody goat lovers and japs have the place,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,ya ungrateful bu99er.
  21. My '98 R33 was steel front and back and ball bearing as well..............still std size [i've had it hiflowed since]. Been some conjecture whether this was std from nissan, they did some funny things with the 40th Anniversary models. But if it was an upgrade by a previous owner, why would you 'upgrade' a std turbo from ceramic to steel and not hiflow it at the same time?????? doesn't make sense. I also ran 0.75/1.2 bar = 10/16 psi [HKS III evc] no probs.
  22. One for the money, two for the show, three to get ready, and four to go.................... I'm not in it for the money, and I don't care for flash [show], and I will not leave, so guess I'm ready!!!!!!!! Go the whaleeeeeeeeee, sperm whale of cause.....lol
  23. Make it three, rarer than normal R33's, but still a few around, not 'collectable', but nice to have, good bragging rights..........
