  1. Sell you mine, cost $50, sell $30. Hardly done any work, I got sick of trying to buff the hilux, and my skyline doesn't need a buff.
  2. When u check out the BoM site, take a look at the Canberra radar information link below the map. It explains how good the data is. Most of it is 'C' band radar and it has some limitations.
  3. I can tell you about west westside, huge storms rolling through, hail, wind, lightning etc etc really big in Gundagai/Tarcutta area at 1400hrs. ETA Canberra 1600hrs estimated [by me], its heading your way.
  4. Geez, Andrew I thought you was describing me in those first few lines [me being the drunk]. PS. I'll be in Canberra on 8th/9th, but I'll be in the Hilux [no turbo in the Skyline], so if anybody see's a bod in a jacked up white twincab with 33" tyres waving, that'd be me..............
  5. Jeez, musta cut bad, I guess I'll have to apologise and grovell, when the 'femme fatal' don't talk they are really pi$$ed off.....................I'm a target now............sigh!!!!!!!! {walks away dragging knuckles in dust}
  6. Had a one week delay [bl@@dy clutch stuffed up in the hilux, had to fix that first], but i've got the turbo out. Easy job [reassembly is always harder], a bit tight getting the lower front manifold/turbo nut off -- any hints without swearwords appreciated -- a 17mm spanner is the correct size, but it only just fits in there and you don't get much swing, socket won't fit, don't know how I'll go tightening it on assembly. Note, I had some oil in the induction side, so i guess the turbo was due for an overhaul anyway, so my upgrade was timely. So now its off to GCG turbos for an upgrade...............should be in following week, fingers crossed. Then an apexi power fc and tomei ex. cam pulley and a dyno, I'll keep everyone posted. Any torque wrench settings for the bolts/nuts helpfull too!!
  7. Its womans work............................ [Now watch the wastelands go]
  8. Veilsides been to a money making seminar...............................run by some rich septic tank or motivator I'd guess. [it's all a guess]. Good luck with it all. Couldn't do it myself, too much fun to be had all my life to sacrifice any of it. Anyway, I took the easy option, I got a good paying steady job that I like = Hydrography [don't ask, look it up].
  9. OK, who did the hiflo skylinegal ???? and was it bb converted????
  10. Full? or part? Congrats..................it all goes downhill from there. And wait till ya get your 1st car, then you'll know what being stone motherless broke really is !!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Yeah, make him repeat type 4000 times 'I must not post whore or flood' !!! that'll show him. Ooohhh wait, no that's not going to work.............lol
  12. Once he does a Odessey house or AA's course he'll probably be OK................hahaha
  13. So how long does he get in the sin bin????
  14. Allo Allo Allo, wot 'is 'en,,,,,,,,,,,, Ed ya betta pass that bong bottle over here.........

  16. Sorry DANOOH, have to disagree. Even if you buy new copper washers they should still be annealed. They have been work hardened during manufacture, and continued to [much more slowly] harden in the air on the shelf while waiting for you to buy them. And if you consider that they may have been manufactured some time ago, they are hard. If you wish to research the topic further: http://www.iebs.8m.com/copper.html http://www.scientific.net/default.cfm?pdf=...n=0-87849-498-7 Both these papers are quite good, the first is a general overview, and the other much more in depth. So anneal and be happy..............
  17. Did series I have airbag wheels???? thought it was only series II. PM sent
  18. If it has a copper washer fitted, just anneal it and then re-use. Anneal=heat with torch till cherry red then drop in cold water.
  19. Love the fiat motor idea, nil performance and f#@ked reliability. It doesn't get any better. Oil chewin', oil spewin', spagg/rice machine. Will a fiat motor fit in a 'line , don't want a crowded engine bay, it has to breathe. Think I'll get a couple of those flame throwers they advertised in Unique Cars for $165. Jay, good idea, bit worried about the lack of pollution though, sounds a bit clean and green. But i reckon RTA/cops would end up in Parkview, fully mental and dribblin'...............
  20. Tah, leech, maybe 70kw is too much, don't want to attract the cops ya know.......... Imagine their dials when they open up the bonnet and shes got a 1" pipe, and sr20 with a lawnmower carbie.
  21. C'mon Lukas, a lawn mower is way too dangerous. I was actually after some lateral thinkers to come up with viable alternatives. Mind you if I could remove the injection setup and go back to carbie, I reckon a lawnmower carbie would be a good thought.
  22. I was thinking of a turbo back 3/4" full system with a loflo cat [probably a tabby in a can] as well.............. Has anybody done this???? was it a bolt on fit????
  23. Maybe this should go in the wasteland section, but here goes: I'm thinking of getting my car rebuilt with a detuned motor, I've got 300rwkw at the moment and am hoping for 70rwkw when I'm finished. Any ideas?????????? I thought a small turbo from an exa pulsar, and a new 4 pack of coils might be a start [leave two cylinders with nil spark]. PS this is a mental role reversal of what everyone [inc. me] posts. :alien:
  24. I don't agree with the thread on the UK site, oiled foam air filters are a superior filter. And the person [sorry can't remember his acronym] was unaware that HKS foam filters are oiled indicates to me that he is making conclusions while not in possession of all the facts, a dangerous practise. Foam air filters -- oiled -- are usually multilayered and so trap dirt very well without inhibiting induction. They do require regular cleaning, and are engineered to be so treated. The other thread with the filter test, I would be somewhat suspiscious of, many tests are conducted and distributed by competitors that malign other products. I can't verify if this is the case, however the fact that many racing fraternities use and help develop various filters [as well as other auto accessories] reinforces dependability, performance, and function.
