  1. No leech, what you do is go to a wreckers, find a nissan and remove a couple of dozen bolts. Then you go round to Richards place and whilst feinting concern and giving that 'I want to help look', and while he's not looking............................drop the bolts you got into a couple of his parts bins. Then sit back and watch him try to remember where all those left over bolts should have gone. At this stage you can suggest places that involve a complete re - strip down of the newly built bottom end. ie 'This one [holding up a leftover bolt] looks like it comes off your crankshaft mate!!!!' Watch Sin turn a sickly shade of white.............. :sly: :cuss:
  2. Thats because I'm a country member..........................old joke but still relevant.
  3. I've got a 9" angle grinder and an oxy if you need a hand cutting the rust out mate!!
  4. Nah, leave him alone Leech, let him restore his old clunker. He'll have to haunt autojumbles and swap meets looking for all those elusive parts. But it's nice that somebody cares enough about Skylines and their history to bring the old classics back to their former glory. :kick: :headspin:
  5. Funny, sounds like your describing a wonderful late spring/early summer day in Canberra :jk:
  6. Most ppl smell with their nose???????? Wassup Jayce, can't you see a connection between smelly feet and a box trailer..................you slow or something..............lol
  7. A nice body of water, the human body is something like 96% water = some Sportsgirl Illustrated models draped over your carbon bonnet???? Is that what you mean. Can you get on the wall at Schrivner? At Blowering, Talbingo and Jounama Dams near Tumut you can drive on the wall and park, make an awesome shot.....................uuummm might have to go and do that soon myself anyway.
  8. It's not charity, it's mateship. Two completely different things. Charity = you donate to an organisation who distributes goods/$$$ to ppl you have never met and will likely never meet. You do not know what your donation was used for, what it bought or who was the recipient or beneficiary. You can claim it on your tax. Mateship = you loan $$$$ and/or beer to a mate knowing that one day you might have to be treated in the same way. It may not be that particular mate that donates, it could be a whole new lot of friends. It's called "What comes around, goes around".
  9. I had a diesel 720 4wd twin cab years ago, biggest POS I've ever owned. Wouldn't pull jesus off the cross. I had fully laden semi's overtaking me on hills. Race_snooze - you legend.........................sorry I wasn't there [other things].
  10. You'd only do 800km if you went via Sydney, or Broken Hill..................lol
  11. we might pass the hat around at Laurel Hill, keep a tin on the bar. Everyone donates to some religion or other, it's about time we donated to Sin.............
  12. Orange or Bathurst via Canowindra, Cowra and Young is only 370km. I know the road well, used to work in Orange from Gundagai-Tumut, used to drive up , go to work, and then drive back in the day.
  13. Oscar I would hold off on posting up deposits and prices etc until we know where we are going with this t shirt thing. I see several options: Friday and Saturday nights Saturday night only Saturday only and coupled to that will be t shirts. This would make 6 options [there is a seventh, but I don't reckon anyone should be able to buy a t shirt without attending]. Each option would be with/without a t shirt and deposits would change according to what ppl elect to do. We will need to list each option and deposit price PLUS full eventual cost upon attendance. Deposits would be NON REFUNDABLE, the T shirt will be made, and Laurel Hill will want their share of the deposit for pre ordering food etc. Also we will need to cover costs for trophies/engraving/etc [only a small part < $50].
  14. osiris, scan back through this thread, there is a web link to a place called Laurel Hill, it is between Tumbarumba and Batlow Snowy Mtns NSW. We will let all ppl know more when we organise it. BTW committee I will be in the field working for the next two weeks, and my contribution will be less [raptuous cheers al round].
  15. Sounds fine to me.
  16. Leech, you are a deviate. Stay away from my 'line, it's black, not black with creamy blotches?????......lol
  17. Look at their trader rating, if it's good and comments are complimentary then they are OK, if it's not good or they have none, then buyer beware. Most speedo's can be fixed. Olympic Instruments in Pymble NSW do a good job, look 'em up in the yellows and have a talk to them. I bought a 300 in here and it was fine, I kept all my other instruments and just swapped over the speedo's, and easy thing to do. Olympic reset it to my cars mileage [was nearly the same anyway]. Hope this helps.

  19. You should loose your licence, should have lost it a long time ago, should be locked up....................for wearing muscle shirts and dressing in the colour pink...................... :jk: :kick: But I reckon they are totally f@#*ed up trying to invoke something that happened before Saddam was in gaol. Fight 'em mate, go to it. I reckon a judge would laugh at 'em, you'd win easy.
  20. OK guys [except jayce who has got the ball rolling and informed me already], who has done what????? It's been a few days now! Kam, any bank A/c set up yet???? Oscar need firmed up dates, have we booked in yet???? If unsure of what your to do, please reread the minutes of the meeting. The quicker we act, the earlier we can get our dates, venue and whats happening out there to all the other skyline owners. I will be able to get the event listed in magazines and on other forums. May be abit late for mags, they usually need three months notice, BUT Unique Cars will do it in less. I could easily get it mentioned in HPI, Speed etc, all mags are very supportive of their market and market development [i do this all the time for motorcycle events]. It is a free service. If we were to advertise it would cost, but a mention in the whats going on section is usually free. Also still need volunteers for the trophies, so far: Jayce..........Furtherest Distance Trident.......Biggest Party Animal Just a friendly gee up............lets make it happen.
  21. Don't blame the skyline for nissan's woes, remember they made other models as well. And I might add other models that were clangers. The skyline series very likely [being a steady seller and sort after model] probably was not the culprit and may even have kept the company afloat for longer than it would've been [if they didn't make skylines]. [[sombody in the know here may be able to provide facts to this theory, I don't have them, just pointing out some broader issues.]]
  22. I don't have a mean streak, and I'll kill anybody that says otherwise...............lol Nah, a T88 would be awesome, but it's not where I'm heading with it. A streetable sports tourer is more the style for my R33.
  23. Yeah, the engine cover, never had one, might get one one day, it's not important to me, its just extra weight............lol. Photo was actually taken several years ago by the guy I bought it off. It is a bit tidier than that now, wires tied down properly etc.
  24. Anyway it gives us skyline owners a target to bag out on when we aren't bagging oneanother. 'The shark pack circles once more looking for easy pickings, bloodlust is never far away, it's a game called survival'.
  25. I'll take it off at LH, after a few shandy's/bubbly's it could be quite the tart [male/female]. Actually don't tell him that I'm talking about her like that, it's really gender neutral. It's actually reasonably normal under the bonnet anyway.
