  1. Don't do anything stupid like try to lever the head off until you know where all the bolts are hidden.
  2. I am pretty sure this has been done to our car Dave, I have no idea about part numbers but I don't think it was all that difficult.
  3. Sorry Jase, just saw the post. The rotors fit in fine. I bought calipers and RDA rotors but the brake lines didn't come in the box despite being included Everything fitted fine including the rotors but the rear brake lines required braided lines to fit. Maybe be with R34 brake lines it can be made to work?? I should clarify, the BMC is the same size as the R34. The inlet and outlets on Nissan BMC's can be slightly different which may get them different part numbers.
  4. There was a thread on this about 2 weeks ago. If you search carefully enough the exact wiring changes are on SAU.
  5. It sounds like you have late series 2 poncams, a trap for young players. There are dozens of threads on this issue unfortunately. You need a black/RB25DET neo CAS and you should be sweet once wired correctly.
  6. I bought 2x Fenix branded 42mm radiators through SAU NSW. They cool substantially better than the OEM units. $300 each
  7. Hi Disco Some good information in there but this article seems to have been re-writing Garrett spiel. Have they really? Yeah sure the comp housing is a portshrouded casting but it looks like it is completely shrouded by the metal that hasn't been removed.
  8. What effect does the turbine housing and wheel have on scavenging? I am not sure your comparison is applicable at all.
  9. pm sent
  10. Was John told that the issues were sorted on his replacement turbos too? A disclaimer of FWIW, given the failures so far is pretty much like admitting that the end users balls are swinging in the cool breeze.
  11. He was quick in a quick car...wow. I am saying Rubens didn't have much pace at all even then.
  12. EFR straight through turbo technology?
  13. JB hardly showed the mobile Brazilian speed bump the way during his stint with Brawn F1. It is not like he is intimidating the emo. It is more a case of LH sucking/not coping with the Pirellis. I think LH is like Tiger, he needs the puss to drive well.
  14. It is probably cheaper to test than to change.
  15. Yep another straight fit buckchoy FMIC. Cheap if you can do all these things to make it fit. Some of us end up paying someone to do these things and double the initial price feels cheaper and easier than wondering what the final cost is going to be.
  16. The brackets are the usual reason for an issue with fitting. If you can weld then you will sort out any issues.
  17. The JDM stuff pretty much always fits. Not all buck-choy brand stuff does fit first go and that can cost you time/money if you aren't born with a welding rod in your mouth or a decent workshop. On response with longer piping, it is hard to argue with the theory that longer piping hurts response but 5 years ago I had this same discussion with the guys at Plazamaman and they are adamant that turbos are very capable of pumping large amounts of air very quickly, the difference in pipe lengths is far less important than controlling the flow of air inside the core so that maximum exchange vs pressure drop is optimised. I am a keyboard warrior so just sticking this out there.
  18. MW should have held that inside line when he diced with Button but skipped across the kerb, he needed to park it on the apex to get Button out of the throttle. He clearly made an error that cost him dearly. I also think he should have taken a more aggressive middle of the track position in that 2nd DRS zone after he got past Button the 2nd time. He pretty much just shouldered arms rather than making Button take an extreme inside line or try to make him drive the long way around. Something more Red Baron style. Oh well.
  19. if you shave them closely enough...perhaps after a bottle of Bundy you might think....nah.
  20. Walk of bishes not really trashy enough
  21. Drive of the day goes to Maldonado, he made Trulli look like a competent modern day F1 driver.
  22. Why did they keep Rosberg out for so long?
  23. At least we get to see an F1 car running as hard as it can on low fuel.
  24. Oops, not Barrichello.
