  1. I hope that isn't a youtube of the fat stupid one from that show.
  2. pm sent
  3. The lack of easy engine management choices will be the issue with an S1.
  4. We found a few things this arvo that need attention.
  5. Did you intentionally misread my post?
  6. Who gives a shit where they hit full boost 3200rpm, 3400rpm, 3600rpm, 3800rpm?? Surely it is what the engine does with the airflow at any given rpm point that counts. When we are seeing dyno charts with turbos with a decent early ramp up in power, making 180-200rwkw at 4000rpm and capable of 280rwkw +/-20kw we have a fast streetable turbo. Whether it makes 260rwkw or 300rwkw really is just a question of blondes, brunettes (or redheads) on the street. IMO they are all good shit.
  7. I will have been smoked at Unigroup prior to the tune so leaks should have been found but I would inspect all the vacuum hoses very carefully anyway.
  8. Yeah the car starts fine on the old PFC. I saved every copy prior and after making changes on the first night. After unlocking the PFC the afm values were 100% once they were written and read back. Since we couldn't copy his old settings into the PFC Pro I copied the locked and unlocked files and a copy of the PFC Pro files to USB. BWRGTR installed the numbers manually but came back with the locks back on the file to install. All other figures were identical (using compare in datalogit) although due to the lock I couldn't check the afm values. The car wouldn't start after 2 tries so I suggested leaving it alone until he gets to Yavuz. The cost of getting it wrong is high enough. This was all late Sunday night and I was just kicking off a nice flu so I wasn't feeling well enough to spend another 30mins trying different things.
  9. A vacuum leak? Did Jez manually check your idle? If not then disconnect the TPS and adjust the idle closer to the value set on the PFC.
  10. Terrible accident and I am betting this will lead to Stoner having a long hard think about what he is doing next year.
  11. yep, he looks like he was in a pub brawl.
  12. A shame that you have to sell but there is plenty of time to start a new career and buy something fun later down the track. Good luck.
  13. If you are after an R33 GTS-t sidefeed injector loom I have one in Sydney PM me if you are interested.
  14. I'm off to Thailand in November. I hope the rain stops soon but if it doesn't then at least Abu Dhabi is on for the first weekend which is in Bangkok. I still love when he says it. Beats me why someone hasn't told him.
  15. It's Looitsee btw.
  16. I had mine checked before....well only just
  17. Go through the forced induction RB25 dyno thread there are heaps of results there for GT35 based turbos.
  18. Same turbine so that is a yes.
  19. 1750 + 1250 = 3000 Stick Fat Albert and a few mates in the car and there is your extra 500kg?
  20. The GTX wheels so far seem fairly disappointing also worth noting they run the old spec turbine. They need higher boost pressure to get them going but ball tearing results from them are rare as unicorn poop it seems. There just aren't many local results. The GTX3076 being the most disappointing IMO. My old GT3040 performed the same for much much less money. Mick_o just installed a GTX3071 (and the 71mm flow maps indicate it is a pretty good bet to have the 76mm GT wheel covered). Mick's early results are in forced induction, he has a few issues to sort out before he gets his final result but it looked ok without shooting the lights out for power output at 20psi. More boost and E85 it will crack 300rwkw. I just installed a new GT3076 with an ATP 0.82 twin scroll housing on the R33. My car will be on the same dyno next week and we are hoping to overlay the two. They will not be direct comparisons due to different turbine housings and manifolds but still interesting info. The tuner in question indicated that he hasn't seen any results from the GTX to make them change a car with existing GT spec turbo. A new install might be a different thing?!? GT3582 internally gated is very available (there is even a GT3576 thanks to the turbo falcons out there) but there are also some other interesting turbos out there like the Kando (ex-mitsubishi tooling), BW EFR (if they get their act together) that might be worth reviewing as well on a serious build like yours. Many places you can get the GT35 here is a link to ATP ATP GT3582
  21. Would it be easier to buy some Volvo badges? No one will know the difference.
  22. HKS3037 ProS has the same 76mm 56 trim comp with a nice HKS specific turbine housing as a garden variety GT3076. It will still run out of puff long before 350awkw. Lowmount internal gate is easy peasy btw. The GT30 and GT35 are the same frame so no issues at all on a stock sidemount manifold. I like using hp ratings for turbos as it gives you an idea of how much air they will flow at sensible boost pressures before they start to become inefficient. Sure water meth or E85 you can exceed these power levels so it is not precise or exact just a fair guide of what they can do. Turbine sizing is also an important factor but choosing mid spec turbine ARR usually gets you there. ps. I forgot there seems to be a dyno over in SA where you might make the power you want from that turbo.
  23. pm me.
