  1. I've never done a full car install before in my life although i have replaced the head unit and replaced all the speakers bu just used the headunit to power everything, and standard wiring. It's time for some extra bass. Not huge amounts but definately more. I have a small 10inch Pioneer sub i'v had for years collecting dust so may aswell use it. And some 6x9's in the garage still in there box. Just bought a wiring kit and a Sony 4 chanel amp. Finally the question... How do you get the RCA connectors to feed the signal from the headunit thru to the boot? Lift some carpet or some other means? I'm thinking it's the carpet and if it is, can you tell me the do's and don't about it, so i can get it all back in place so it doesn't look like some hack has ripped it all up and couldn't get it back quite right Can someone shed some light on that for me ..thanks
  2. This is from the Ye Olde - Hybrid intercooler instruction guide....... Yeah, it's an R33 but it's all the same
  3. Thanks mate, good onya I'll do just that on my next day off.
  4. If you already have these "ebc, fuel pump, fmic etc" oh man! There's a good DIY on the fuel pump swap so Do It Yourself. FMIC, heaps of different threads, think about giving it ago for DIY again, or get it installed. EBC, get that in now! 12psi should be ok...and don't forget to get some sparkies gapped to 0.8mm or pop pop pop... All that should be cool, then do the Power FC tuned on the 12psi and that should see your car right on about 200-ish and freegan hell it will feal good You've got most stuff so just do it !
  5. Stupidity spreading is true though. When i FIRST had my car, someone popped the hood (who knew squat) and pointed to the charcoal filter thingy near the air box and went WOW! you;ve got an aftermarket BOV ! I believed him cause i thought he knew more than me, said it to another 'line owner and they sure gave me a funny look ! Hahaha at myself But yes you have to learn. I've since looked up how to do an oil change and done it. (so stupid thinking back, but hey i didn't know and someone was kind enough to post a thread) And soon afterwards was the sparkies. and zen, installed my own FMIC, injectors, EBC, Z32 and i think these are worthy successes
  6. I have the same problem although i have the old sensor plug still in there that leaks a bit, so i want it blocked off. I must admit, i have no idea what language you 2 are speaking. Can you elaborate a bit so i can go into Mitre 10 and get a bolt to block it off? I took the sensor out and went into Bunnings and they couldn't match it, so back in it went. Thanks dudes...
  7. Damnit, was so close to adding a link to Paris Hilton.
  8. Well, yeah, i realise that, my reply was a bit simplified but i meant id doesn't nothing in terms of engine management etc. I disconected it cause i have an aftermarket boost gauge and used the original vacuum feed for my boost controller/sensor
  9. I'll add that the boost sensor does nothing. I've disconnected mine and removed it. (on an R33 which is the same engine)
  10. I think you'll find that neither of them post up the exact specs but if you're just after a rating, the GCG is suppossed to be 450hp (i think) Also, GCG is ball bearing, slide is Journal bearing
  11. That is unbelievably low! I'm sure that would be illegal too as the 10cm height rule that the cops use when checking exhausts, allpies to any part of the car doesn't it? It's just that the exhaust is USUALLY the lowest part.
  12. I'm not sure to be honest but 1st thing I'd check is the AFM setting. Make sure it's on the right one. Just highlighting the wrong one and backing out of the menu chooses that AFM which I've done accidently, but it made my car undrivable doing that. I was nearly crying! haha, quick phone call to tuner fixed it Try swapping between option 1 and 2 which are standard R33 AFM, and Power Intake (pod). (assuming you're on the standard AFM) Mine was tuned on standard R33 - option 1 even though i had a pod so just depends on what your tuners selected to start with. But after all that, it may be something else! Good luck
  13. search for GREDDY COPY http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...;hl=greddy+copy
  14. These a huge thread on them somewhere, someone is going thru a test install for everyones sake. Start searching
  15. That's getting on the pricey side $875 delivered, for an unknown. Wouldn't you want to pay just a tad extra and get the real thing? even 2nd hand? How and where do you get these things flow tested byt the way? And how much to do it? Cheers
  16. Well if you're in North Syney, you can come and look at it now
  17. If the warning light stays on (rather than flashing), that's a bad sensor somewhere. If you can get it to do it again and go to 'sensor check' i think, it will highlight the one with the issue for you.
  18. Forget the clutch, that will never make your car misfire. Back to sparkies, are they standard gap of 1.1mm, if so, do a search on sparkies and get the 0.8mm ones. BCPRES6 or something, don't quote that code without searching though, it was ust pulled out of my bad memory. If you do have the old gap ones, i reckon that would be it
  19. Tomei is further up the stem but still an 'in tank' pump. External pumps are exactly that, the pump is outside the tank. ie, in some cases you can pop the boot and see it strapped to a wall somewhere. People have been having issues with 044's so be aware of that. Not everyone, just some. Some peeps recommend steering clear of Walbros' too (where are you R31Nismoid ?) I know people have different budgets so it's really up to you. But for me the $340 delivered for the Tomei was the best option. Beats all of the above for flow rates and is already designed to slot straight in. You on the Central Coast? I can let you have a listen if you like
  20. Elcheapo - Go the RB25 as a few have stated. or start searching for a HKS 2530 - They should be in the cheap side but extra cash needed for the water/oil lines etc.... But they will bolt straight on to the T3 flange and exhaust front pipe. Slidewize can bid for you on the Jap Auctions if that's what you want
  21. You're such a whore
  22. Give GCG a call.
  23. ..actually, rechecked the pics, they're not too bad. The rear pic is bad though with so much build up but that can't be helped.
  24. Any chance of taking some better pics with more light? I can't see diddley.. The physical size of the unit looks good, very close to stock
