  1. OK peeps, Finally swapped AFM and had a tune It works ! Yeah ! Just swicthing the AFM bfore goijng on the dyno and the car is started and hiccupping and splutterring and telling me "PLease Birnie, i need a tune now" which is the result i was after/expecting going from a dodge AFM/tune to a good AFM. All tuned and it hit cell 16 down the vertical on about 17psi ( i think that was about 4400 on the volts reading) Before with the exact same setup with dodge-AFM it hit cell 20 on 13psi. So as far as I'm concerned, the dodge ones ARE out there. I don't actually know but i still suspect a bad batch going around rather than some dodgey chinese peeps trying to rip people off. So yeah, if you happen to get a dud, check fr leaks first cause i had some shockers, but other than that, take itback and ask for it to be checked or replaced. The worst part is you lose your tuning money which really sucks cause that's the most expensive part! Luckily i had the 1st tune done on the road with a bud so i was only out of pocket $200 So there you go, I'm sorted.
  2. Go fellas go! 1st one to PM me with cash ready to go gets em
  3. Completey fair price if you ask me. You'd easily sell the stuff seperately too if you wanted. Some PFC's have sold for $1500 for the R33 so good onya and be patient. Completely not interested in the sale as have the R33 gtsts PFC with the boost controller too and love it. Highly recomended Good luck bud.
  4. And they both have very reputable names so i'd just go the cheapest..which i did. Also, i've seen pics of both on the net and they look identaical although that's not confirmed. Bracket and assembly and pump all look the same. ..and the pump is completely surrounded in black plastic so you can't see any part numbers even if you wanted to Either way, they are both gunna be fantastic, pic whatever takes your fancy and you'll be sweet as pie. Like warm apple pie .. haha
  5. Getting done tomorrow mate. I really take my time don't i..haha If i don;'t get 250rwkws or close with super power, i'll be spewing..but it should be OK. I have faith in my tuning buddy. He'll be getting kudos on here when done
  6. My point is, he was advertising a 1997 model R33..obvioulsy should be a Series II in that year range. It had no 2nd air bag which all Series II do, even 95 which are sometimes refferred to as Series 1.5 have an air bag. It was at least a 94, but with a 97 plate..
  7. Well i did see an advertised 97 model a few years back when looking for a mate. Looke lookie, no 2nd air bag, but the Aus plate under the bonnet did say 97 The guy was dodgey as and trying a bung deal me thinks. So it can be done but i think that one was intentional for all the wrong reasons. But anyways, jump on the VIN check thread, it's free. ...and then you might get lucky and find your cars newer than expected..can't hurt
  8. I went to Repco a week ago for new headlight bulbs knowing i wanted H1's which is what i got.....all good. But i needed the parkers too. Took one out and showed him, they have a chart on the counter with every type of bulb available. They place your bulb over the pics until they find the exact match... ...so the moral is, just remove one of each you need and take it into the store, you'll be sweeeet as
  9. i freegan love these cars If i had the time/money/space, it would be my number 1 choice of a project car. There's a dude on here somewhere (from America) that has a sweet looking orange one too. Hopefully he'll see this and add some piccies of his own......
  10. AFM was thru nengun and as advertised on their site. For some reason it's thru the Tomie AFM Z32 and you recieve a Genuine Nissan one. It was $349 i think delivered which is about $40 more than what you can get in Aus thru the traders...but...I've been burnt on 1 dodge AFM and I'm not wasting another $300 on another...plus the money wasted on a tune which you can't get back. So the extra cash was a fair trade off IMO
  11. http://www.greenline.jp/ Nengun hae the fancy website with less than fancy service but you do get your stuff. Greenline's site is still good, just not as fancy. They have the same stuff and i think it's only email based, well from my experience it is. They reply either same day or next with a quote breaking down the cost of item/deilvery. Deposit money into their account, they'll confirm it. Both sites are good in my opinion. (if prepared to wait) I check prices on both for any item i wanna get and go with the cheapest, And it always depends on the item on who is cheaper, Fuel Pumps - definately Greenline by about $40-$50 EBC - about the same from memory but i got mine from Nengun Z32 AFM - Nengun was cheaper by about $50 so got it thru them, took about 6 weeks though
  12. I got one set from Slide Imports, brand new with a GTR R33 fuel pump for about $300 But thats for brand newies with all the rubber thingos to go with, see pics in the s15 thread i posted earlier. 2nd set from a written off S15 in Aus. $250 delivered for 4 out of a 2002 model. You should be able to pick up 2 sets for about $400-$450 and then try selling 2 like me and come out about $300 out of pocket which aint too bad forget any other model eg. s12/13/14, no good to you if they are standard injectors, s15 manual ones are the only 450-480cc injectors.
  13. Yeah ask me ! Haha. I would rate them at 450cc. Getting tuned tomorrow hopefully (take 2 with a REAL AFM) with a HKS2535 and all supporting mods. Supprised by the size of the injectors hey? Wellllll..... 2.5 / 6 (cylinders) = 416cc per cylinder 2.0 / 4 (cylinders) = 500cc per cylinder Not so confusing now is it ? Yeah, so easy swap out .....(DIY available in the appropriate sub-section) And heaps of info .... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...146846&st=0 And 2 injectors for sale right here matey $125 delivered
  14. Hopefully the tune will sort it out...otherwise, stop driving sideways!! That eats the fuel everytime Side note... looking at your signature. What's a Central 20 ECU, and depending on what it is, why do you need an SAFCII if you have an ECU??
  15. But if you can get a Nismo for $320 delivered.get that ! Damn that's getting really cheap. Also : (From Nengun) http://www.nengun.com/nismo/fuel-pump-skyline Nismo is 4.6L/min http://www.nengun.com/tomei/fuel-pump-nissan-skyline-r33-gtr Tomei is 276 L/hour 4.6 x 60mins = 276 L so they are the same rating when comparing the GTR items They are currently $370ish delivered from nengun and when i ordered mine they where about $400 so it's come down nearly $30 with the dollar increase. Greenline might have em for about $310 delivered now !! Cool ! Flick em an email and see what they say. and let us now the price son! Good luck
  16. Sorry mate, Just re-read this thread and noticed you asked ages ago and i didn't reply. But as already stated, i got it from greenline too. Delivered in about 1 week !!!! Awesome! They were close to $50 cheaper delivered than nengun....the $340 was including delivery. .... and the Tomei also comes with the full bracket etc... Go to the DIY section and someone had the "easiest fuel pump upgrade ever" thread or something liek that. It's not mine but i posted heaps of pics in there of mine so check it out.
  17. I was going to mention the Hitman but everyone beat me to it. None that i know of in the actual BMountains so Hitman it is and he has a top reputation on SAU and with me. He tuned mine on the Power FC. Should be a sinch for the SAFC.
  18. Terrible story, glad he's OK. ..but why the "they lost" in the title? Is there more to the story?
  19. THe instructions should be on the apexi website except probably for the 2nd one but it should be similar. Although, don't expect it to be an easy tune yourself jobbie. You need zorst sensors to get the AF ratios correct. Get the thing installed and get it professionally tuned which should only be $150-$200 (for the tune that is) Installastion can be done yourself and have it set at no change to the air fuel which will be no harm.
  20. I have the R33 40th too but it's 1998. I'm sure all the other I've seen a '98 too. Get your VIN checked, you might be suprised and find it's a 98 that was incorrectly stamped. The obvious things are rear badges on the outer C-columns (if that's what you call em) and badges on the front 2 seats That's about it which really sucks for a so-called special edition ..but the badges do look good
  21. I paid $340 delivered thru greenline for the Tomei
  22. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...375&hl=pump
  23. I do what the packet says. Tighten up all the slack then do a 1/2 to 2/3 turn on top of that with the ratchet. I just changed mine again last week and they were a tad loose so i really gave it a good yank but it wouldn't have gone past 3/4 turn
  24. Definately not interchangable as someone said, R33 are side injectors and R34 (even on the Rb25 Neo) are top feed. ..but as moonus said, if you're after cheaper upgrade injectors for the R33, s15's can do the job. I've done some research on these and i wold say they are rated at 450cc. I have them in my car now and work a treat, easy swap out too Doesn't matter about Jap Spec S15, as long as the car they come out of is manual and they are the maroon/red colour. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...146846&st=0
  25. Check again cause it's there in Advanced Option i think??? Anyway, 370 / 550 = 0.6727272727..... (assuming they are actually rate at 550cc, eg S15 injectors are rated 480 but really run closer to 450cc) Enter 67.5 % in all 6 of your cylinders and you should be right to go. ..always round up the percent cause you'd rather a touch more fuel than not enough.
