  1. 450cc is right I'm sure going off the SR20 spec sheet we found. The FAQ says 448? i believe but it's the same if you calculate of the 370/450 and round up anyway. So 370/450 = 82.2222 % rounded up to 82.5 % as only 0.5 increments allowed. You'd be silly to round down on fuel percentages Latency i've got set at -0.06 using your FAQ figures. I believe those figures of, RB25 370cc/min 0.528msec SR20 (Jap Spec Manual) 448cc/min 0.584msec (actually Aus aswell as Jap Spec, just needs to be manual) were taken from the Power FC manual? Is that right Paul? If so, i'm not one to argue with APEXi 0.528 - 0.584 = -0.056 (rounded down to -0.06) Anyway, runs like a dream so I'd be confident you can post these figures. (i've had approx 700kms of highway commuting and Syd driving over the past week with no issues, getting tuned up tomorrow) Percentage : 82.5% Latency : -0.06
  2. If you're hooked up thru the Power FC, the FC Boost Kit must allow you to log it thru Datalogit. That's assuming you have Powefer FC and logging software, but that's a big assumtion
  3. That's true, you didn't I gotta stop posting on nightshift..... Yawnnnnn
  4. They turn up every now and then, also, the Wanted To Buy section might help
  5. I can't read the writing even when it's enlarged! What does it say or do you have a better pic? Back might be useful too.
  6. Yours should be purple. Have a look in a thread nearby on s15 injectors.....i have added pics showing the purple ones i removed on page 2 i think.
  7. Read the last 2 pages.... they are NOT 480cc, that's just their advertised genral rating as it's different depending on the fuel pressure. Standard pressure is 450cc right up to 525cc with increased pressure, check the link i posted futher back or DaleFZ1's at the top of this page. Why they picked '480' is beyond me but even the 740cc APEXi injectors are 675 at standard pressure... go figure ??? 82.5 is calulated on 370/450 = 82.22222 ..and as you're only allowed 0.5 increments, i rounded up to 82.5 , not down, to be safe. If it wasn't right, i wouldn't still be getting 500kms per tank...which i am with practically no knock and a cra the feals and sounds the same as when the standard 370's were in. A QUICK WARNING TO OTHERS : If you calculate on 480cc, ie 370/480 = 77.08333 and punch in 77.1% you will be in a really dangerous area ! You WILL be leaning out, by a good 5 or 6 %
  8. I think Paul's figures came out of the Power FC Manual. Stupid me threw mine out
  9. Hi guys, I'm going to be installing a FC Boost Controller kit but was wondering where to put the boost sensor. Did you guys drill 2 holes in the metal frame of your car? If so, do the holes need to be threaded somehow? I was thinking of just screwing it into the side of the plastic fuse box Pics would be good if you have but not a must. Thanks Birnie
  10. nearly half price already.. Post em!
  11. You've probably already my post elsewhere but anyway. I din't bother replacing pintle caps as they weren't busted......i wouldn't bother. I cleaned the gunk of the end of the injectors with my finger, haha...seriously ! My 2nd hand ones were petrol stained, also a little bit of gunk which just rubs off. The mesh stuff was a tad off colour but i only knew that because i had new ones to compare to. I also used the old o-rings. They dropped in ok with no probs and car started straight away with the right settings on th FC They also spent about 4 months stored in a drawer wrapped in bubble wrap. As always with 2nd hand stuff, there's a risk. Have a look at em, make a decision and go with it, that's what i did. Personally, if they are only 4years old, and they look OK, i reckon you'll be right. also, when i removed my old ones, there was heaps more gunk on them and they worked fine. Some people will prolly disagree and i bet there's some that will disagree ALOT but thats my experience to date. Also mixed 4 brand new with 2 oldies and all good.......
  12. From the Motec site : Injector Dead Time Injector dead time refers to the LATENCY of the injector in producing maximum flow rate. All injectors require a certain amount of time to open completely and produce maximum flow. The amount of time is dependant on several variables including; fuel pressure, battery voltage and physical characteristics of the injectors themselves. Typically higher fuel pressure or lower battery voltage tends to increase the dead time. This leads to a reduction in fuel flow in to the engine and as a result influences the engine's state of tune.
  13. ..just not sure if that column is actually Injector Latency figures though. Look in Pauls FAQ http://paulr33.skylinesaustralia.com/docs/...erfc-faq.htm#57 either way, I've tried both settings and haven't noticed a difference. I added another thread asking about Injector latency but haven't had any useful feedback yet
  14. Yeah, they might have levered em out with a screw driver, i did Just got to be gentle and patience and pop, out they come. The owner of yours may have been a bit rough but that hole in the plastic doesn't serve a purpose anyway they are held in by the half moon bracket which pushes straight down from the top, you should be right. getting another set? I have 2 spare. What did you pay?
  15. And the AFM will come with the standard plug too, if that helps
  16. I've seen people hit 240-ish witouth upgrading AFM or injectors but your running everything pretty much border line. That might be OK but i want the 250 and they won't quite cut it for that figure. Fuel Pump - definately. Few options. Bosch040 seems popular, as is GTR pumps. Cheap but can be noisy if the install is messy. Tomie or Nismo pumps, bit pricier but EASY install and alot quieter with better flow rates - made to fit your car. Z32 might aswell, and for 250+ i would say yes. Standard will either be right on limits or maxed out. Injectors, cheap option is a Fuel Pressure Regulator or get some after market ones. I went the s15 450cc ones. I've actually just done all these 3 thing over the last 2 months so feel free to ask whatever. There is a DIY thread on the Tomei Pump, also one on the Injectors and the Z32 so if you're OK with it, you can save some big $$$ by doing it yourself
  17. 260/tank? i hope that's city drivig because that's terrible even for a standard ECU But if your fangin it hard, it's prolly OK ....so polite N'oids
  18. Couple more here : http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...47918&st=60 2/3 down is a neat looking one.
  19. Lazy-Bastard made his own kit with a typical hybrid FMIC. Trimmed some front bar but really, that's no big deal. And he made a full U-turn piece to go back and use the stock piping.
  20. I'm with you on this one ?????
  21. Did you get his home number ? http://greypages.mazzanet.id.au/
  22. The main seals i used only cause i had em but really, don't bother. I used the 2nd hand o-rings for the 2 x 2nd hand injectors. Didn't bother changing any of the top rubber thingos, the ones under the half moon cover.
  23. Freegan hell! Good work dude . Sounds like you know what you are doing ...i don't, haha but I'm getting there. Aiming for 250 aswell but that will be the limit of the hks2535, I think the GT30's can push way more can't they? As in 300rwkws?
  24. Yeah, these babies were tight! Not enough down pressure or crappy screwdrivers and GONE! I ruined 2 screws out of the 12 so it's prett easy to do. Grabbed my trusty hacksaw and sawed a slit in the top, straight out with a flathead screwdriver Agreed, awesome write up. In and out took me a touch over 4 hrs for a 1st timer. $320/4 = $80 an hour.... Cool ! Feels awesome to save that cash! It's like getting a free boost controller! LOL
