Theres a nice 2 door R31 around at Erina somewhere. Super low and fat arse wheels. Looks as if set up for drift. Not a GTR (obviously ) but it does say something like Gt-r and i think the R is in red writing. I always wanna stick my face up to the window and have a good look inside but don't wanna pees someone off

There's a nice yellow R34 around GT-t Sweeeeet !
-
I know it wasn't yellow, but the 'yellow' dude knows the 'black' dude. Yep, it's a yellow R33, pretty low with super dark windows and no spoiler. Goes well too! (quicker than mine.. )

I know of a Black R33 up the coast. I don't know the guys number but a friend does (he owns a yellow one) I'll see what he knows.

Birnie replied to Birnie's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Thanks mate! -
Hey guys, Just attempted to remove the front bar on the R33 SII but can't get those splash panels off inside the wheel arch to get to the 2 screws near the head lights. How do they undo????? I've already snapped the head off 1 !! Grrrrr. Are these readily available from the local Repco? Thanks! Birnie

Had the same problem with mine when 1st imported....needed new tyres for blue slip. Bash job worked ok. Find the smallest socket that will slide over it and then go the next size down from that. For me, once i had selected the size, went to Cash Converters and bought the same size socket for 50c and used that one instead of a good one. Bashed it on as far as it would go, which wasn't very far, then heave ho!

R33 Gtst Standard Front Rotors
Birnie posted a topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Item: Standard front GTST rotors, R33 (off a 1998 model) Location: Nth Syd to Central Coast Item Condition: Used, needs machining Reason for Selling: Got the DBAs Price and Payment Conditions: $100, pickup or dropoff if convenient Extra Info: Priced machining, $25 per disc Contact Details: PM me please or reply to post I have some standard R33 GTS-T Front Rotors for sale. (296x30) Had a slight wobble when they were on but I didn't bother machining as i was going to replace them....so I'd recommend a machine when put on (or before) So, they are relatively new, off a 1998 R33. I'll check the thickness later on but I'll start with $100 for the pair with pickup from either Central Coast or North Sydney. Just got a quote fro Central Coast Brake/Clutch on machining. about $24 a piece and it can be done without them being on the car. So you are looking at $150 total coast for the pair. I want 'em gone, so make an offer -
I can't remember if it goes above or below that line when you hit the 4500 mark. Just as long as you feal/hear a diffenece as you go thru that rev range.
-
Thanks for this one ! Did my fronts (well one of em) yesterday using this tutorial. Just thought I'd add one extra pic. I did my fronts on the R33 GTS-T and found a couple of extra bolts to undo so you don't hurt you're brake line. (See piccie) Pretty obvious what I mean, and they're not hard to undo...compared to those bugga caliper bolts ! THanks Bbenny!!!

You guys are all too harsh. Coming home at 2:30am and leaving your car running for 30 secs might not seem that bad to you being a Tubo car owner and all that jazz. In fact, you probably loved the day your turbo timer was installed! But when there is NO other noise around except a quiet (yeah sure, compared to what),deep bassy, exhaust sound (which probably means the whole street can hear it) running for as you put it, 'it's only 30 secs'. It's probably is enough to wake everyone up and would seem more like 5 mins to them. Sure the levels are legal but i don't think a turbo timer is necessary at that time of night. Just drive home at i steady pace and turn if off as some else mentioned they do. If a Semi trailer (turbo) parked outside your house and let his turbo timer go for 30secs, rumbling away, would you care? Shit, I would ! But hey, it's legal. Anyway, don't mean to soud like I'm having a go or anything, just try and see it from their (non-turbo) point of view. Particularly being neighbours, wouldn't you rather get along? If all the cruises do happen, won't be long before the shit starts appearring on your door handle too I's say. Anyways...... My exhaust is pretty loud and the only reason my neightbours don't complain ( i think) is because another dude with his old V8 ute (actually pretty nice) spends all day with it out the front yard with the bonnet up revving away as he tinkers around. It's like he does a full tune every weekend ! Haha. Good luck with the neighbours. Hope it all turns out ok.

Birnie replied to z3n2k's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Been looking at this for a mate who's after a turbo upgrade. You have this advertised elsewhere showing the exhaust side pics. Only 4 bolts and not an internal wategate...Is that correct? So would need an aftermarket manifold/dump pipe/and external wastegate? If that's the case, how much of the setup have you got to go with it? Can you post up some more pics showing the exhaust side? Thanks.....Birnie -
When i was chosing a car, 300zx tt was on the list, and knowing diddley squat about cars and the such, one thing i could tell. Pop the bonnet and look how cramped it is! Jeeeeeze! You can tell that if anything needs to be done, it'll be a job and a half. On the other hand, i reckon they look fantastic! Was good to see it in Kill Bill too!
-
Interesting, keep the opinions coming. I'm pretty interested considering the price is only a touch more than DBA 4000's

Was also quoted $368/pair for normal RDA slotted rotors and $455.90 for the NEW type slotted/dimpled EBC Sport Rotors That's for a pair of R33 front rotors. The new ones definatley look interesting ! They make some interesting points about the y new type. The slot is wider as it could normally get filled with dust or rust preventing it's gas removal purpose. Also, iodised to prevent rust. And dimpled, as opposed to cross drilled to stop cracking. What do people think of these little beauties?
