Hey Just got one of these G-sensors and the instructions aren't in English as usual and they don't seem to say much on the APEXi site. No probs plugging it in...it's just those 3 extra wires hanging off it. What are they for? Thanks...

What speed do you use 5th gear ?
Birnie replied to JeeTeeEss25Tee's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I don't bother doing the dogde left and right when city (sydney) driving. It's more about knowing which lane to be in. Anyway, i cruise along at 60-65 in 5th all the time. 4th when going up the little hills though and maybe an obvius overtake. I love seeing other poeple jumpin left and right all over the place, punchung it off and on again. Then i cruise along at about 40 and pass em just cause i know which lane will be better. Hehe -
Thanks guys. shoulda thought of BigW. There's one near by so I'll check that. Interesting to see all the types people use. Haven't even heard of half of em. Thanks!

Where do you guys get your oil from? About to do another change and getting just the Mobil 1 and filter for around the $70 combined price. $64 and $7 i think. Surely someone must know someone who knows someone who can get it cheaper???? Even if i could get the oil for $50 I'd be a happy camper. Thanks..Birnie

If you get the Ford, PLEASE don't get that blue, I'm sick of it i tells ya ! They look great in black. ..and of course, make sure you test drive both before making a decision. and get what YOU like. (even if it is that blue..hehe) Thought about the Toyota Chaser?? that another nice one. Pretty much Toyota equivelant to Skyline GTT 2.5L turbo straight 6 with 206kws....4 door, tiptronic. Guy at work has one.....noice

for an R33, from the compressor to the firewall Thanks..Birnie

Just a note, if anyone does find anything, probably best not to broadcast it in here. Whoever this guy is is probably watching it so just PM allblitz. Better off he doesn't know whats coming. Also, will cover your own butt too as looking up peoples personal details, if you are in the CBA, for this purpose I'm sure is not allowed. But if I worked there, i would do it too...

Gotta say, this is one of the best transaction I've delt with. Great prices! Item was delivered directly from Japan in LESS that 1 week...to my door ! Always looking for his group buys now. I also urge others that have had good dealings to use leave the feedback option. He deserves it. Thanks Nori ! (positive feedback left) Birnie

That's just the BSB number, not the dudes account

This stuff shit me (even though it's never happened to me) I may be able to find something, but doubt it. I'll definatley try though
-
..and yes..CBA

I can't believe it but..... a google search on the BSB gives this http://www.isonliveradio.com/accounts/ Newcastle...... getting closer

Man, you're gunna make me paranoid! Next time while walking thru the fruit section in Coles.... ..... nudge to the girlfriend.... "did you see the way that kid just looked at me?!" thinks to myself....."he's dead when we get to the checkouts....it's gunna take at least 2 days of combat training before you can take me on....PAL !"

Well, i'd pay $80 for a bleeder boost controller (if turbo). Should bump it up more than 5rkws too. Too cheap, too easy! If NA...dunno, maybe a high flow airfilter (would it make 5 though)???

Hi guys, I've replaced my shocks and these are of no use to me They seemd ok when on the car, i just went for upgrades and a bit lower. (off a 1998 Series II R33) Also, i reused some parts so they're missing and i dont know what they are called but what is in the picture is ALL that is there. The top bits are missing, the dust covers and the plastic filler thingo bits??? We had trouble undoing one of the top screws and ended up ripping the flat bit off (see pics) but i reckon you could shave it back down and still use it. We also had to use the vice grips to undo the screw for something to hold it with, there is a pic showing the mark it made. Anyway, here are some pics...... (i have higher res if needed) How's $150 sound?
-
No problemo, But why don't you set up a group buy for 5-10 people and charge $1200, great price and still makin' some buckaroos. I'm sure everyone would appreciate it!

Got agree here, colder air is much better and prevents pinging. Hotter air is less dense....ie ..anyway, regardless of the density, i think it's the higer temps that cause the pinging. ...but back to the dyno subject....i had mine done ages ago just for fuel/air ratios and they were spraying water onto my standard intercooler....later i though that was a bit stupid cause i don't have a spraw when on the road...sometimes i think they just wanna improve their rwkw reading to make you think they've done a good job (not all of course)

My setup is for road use, but harder and better handling. Drifting would require the ultra hard Jap shocks i would say (not that I've ever drifted..) I've bought em, got em put in for a case of beer and had some fun doing it too. After we did the whole lot! Lowered the car of the jack, didn't look quite right...missed a few pieces and had to do all 4 again !!! hahaha! But still fun and a great learnging experience. Well, i now know i was one of the lucky ones! I just checked where i got mine from with the 'Duncan' suggested 10% off I got an absolute bargain! The price seems to be no more...thanks to me..sorry I won't say too much but a bit of investigation should see what i mean. Anyway, lowered the car enough for me. almost so you can't tell, but the front is no longer higher than the back. Looks how it should i think. Springs are quite hard, need a good shove with your body weight when standing beside the car. But handles lovely! and a bit more "like a go-cart" is a term i here alot....(well maybe not quite like a go-cart) Still in the bedding in stage and need the wheel alignment/balance but overall very happy! and pleased to have it done by a someone of the forums rather than a mechanic. Quoted $300+ for installation. Me....done for a case of Crownies...$48, plus the fun of doin it yourself it seeing it done. Hunt around...!! and read HEAPS and search HEAPS on these forums

Sounds dodge, I've seen a Series I for sale from the dodgiest guy I've seen and it was badged under the bonnet as a 1997. He even asked me what's the difference between a I, II model ! I think someone on here has a way of telling the year by the chassis number of something,

Hey thanks Duncan ! If anyone's gunna know i guess you would. I did ring back before you posted asking about a Skylines discount and he said 5%. So about $1140. But 10% would be fantastic! ($1080 !) Yeah, i guess the rest is on the list too, on a long list that i can literally wait years to do bit by bit. But like many peeps here, I've bought a place to live in up the Central Coast, and i had to fight nail and tooth to keep MY last bit of savings to go towards the car.
