I'm stuffed if i can get any of those hoses to come off, even the alternative one mentioned further down. Grrrrr! Any ideas?

Ive got a low end Pioneer one but it's great I organise all my MP3's in alubum folders so no need to search too far. Up/Down for folders Left/Right for individual tracks within the folder. Great for putting a single artist with all their albums on to 1 CD

DBA 4000 slotted rotor?
Birnie replied to firefox's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I'm interested in feedback here too. Particulalry in the wear and tear of pads. I've 'heard' that normal pads last around 60,000kms depending on how you drive. The slotted ones reduce this to about 20,000kms.... True or not true? Or somewhere in the middle... Thanks.. -
No idea sorry :headspin:

I don't know how to do it but I'm in the process of sources bits n pieces. Worth checking out 'lazy-bastard' His photo gallery shows his home job which i think is by far the best yet on these forums. There is some threads around here showing other home jobs and pics, search around and I'm sure you'll find em

I used to play this years ago on the old 486....for AGES !!!! I even wrote it in 'C' fro something to do after learning a certain programming method at Uni..(before i dropped out ) ....beer was more fun

Oops, didn't see that bit...

Does everyone know the 'both' buttons technique? I didn't until my brother showed me. That's a big way to improve times.

Haha! Good one Liz. That was me. I was contemplating staying there cause it would have looked good with the 2 cars in single file like that but the other lane was so clear i had to take it! Yours looked VERY clean, shiny shiny ! Mine was covered in crap. But i washed it today so looks a bit better. I was looing out for you in the rear mirror. I kept getting stuck behind people, particularly up the big ramp on the F3 trying to catchup to you too. I've only got 1 point left so didn't want to push it too much....then you turned off and i think i hit about 135 for a final catch up and wave :headspin: Twas fun!

If you do get a defect (not yet....fingers crossed) are there any costs involved at the inspection?

I think the pod filter thing is a 'depends on the cop' or 'depends on the mood of the cop' I had mine registered as in blue slipped as first time registered and over the pits at the RTA, nothing said at all about the pod filter ! The only thing they said was to move the engine number as the AUS one was covering the original Jap one.....got that re-rivited and all sweet!

lets have a proper "this is my car pic" post
Birnie replied to doxximus's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Out of all the Skyline series, the R34 sure pulls off the 4-door the best. Very nice ! -
As far as a "genuine 40th anniversary front bar" goes, it's just a standard Series II front bar. There is no difference..but don't know what the top one is

Same as me dude Noticed it at Wakefiled park track day doing the hairpin left turn Only becuase someone saw fuel pouring out when driving behind. Did the same as, bought the fuel cap...no difference Anyway, after mine nearly fell out ( a year later of 3/4 tank fills....grrrrrr) i finally did something about it. There was bugger all gooo stuff holding it in. I guess when you're a compliancer, you just wack it in and move on to the next car. So even if yours in in real tight, might have enought goo to hold it tighht but not the full circumfance of the pipe so no complete seal. Mine now has HEAPS ! I fully layered inside the pipe with that stuff, and layered the outside of the restrictor insert......pushed it in REALLY tight ! ..and as i siad, no have the psssshhhh sound when opening. The stuff also says it's fuel/oil proof so hoepfully that's the end of it. Good luck !

Birnie replied to dharvin's topic in Engines & Forced Induction

I got half left over if you want it. I'm on the North Shore but you might as well get some...it's only $10 Autobahn for me.

Well i ended up using the Loctite stuff but not the one pictured above....it was a stip of blue/white stuff that you had to knead together..(remineded me of that redlight/green light chewing gum on Mission Impossible..haha) Cost me 9.99 It is super rock solid and for the first time ever, i got the psshhhh vacuum sound when opening the cap for my next fill. Must have worked! As for not filling it right up...and crayons n easles....get working on Windows Paintbrush...i wanna know damn it ! Thanks peeps
-
But don't you get fuel coming out when you fill it right up?
-
I was filling up yesteday and when i removed the nozel, the metal inlet came up a bit with it...hmmmmm, gave it a small pull with my fingers and the whole thing just popped out! There was a black glue like substane that held it in place, didn't look like much there and had deteriated a bit. So my question, what do i use to glue it back in? It must be something along the lines of Selly's no more gaps but obviously needs to be petrol resistant. Any ideas? Thanks...

Might pop around to say gday. I live in Gosford and might bring another dude with a Skyline but he's not on the forums

I guess another thing to consider is which is more resilient to cracks/punctures when hit by high speed gravel/pebbles...and i have no idea which by the way, just a point to think about

1. Bilstein shocks/Whiteline Springs 2. non adjustable (is that standard?) 3. 35mm front, 25mm rear 4. Standard way to high (looks dumb), wanted better handling but not neck cracking hardness 5. New from Unique Auto Sports (price now incressed) Shocks - $225 x 4 = $900 Springs - = $295 SAU disc %10 = - $119.50 TOTAL = $1075 6. Series II R33, same as you 7. No complaints at all, love em Also, installation was done by a forum member for a case of beer! I did all my research on these forums....Bilsteins seem to be the way to go for daily draiviers with occasional track work...My setup was recommended by Sydney Kid so i can't argue with that.. Bilsteins were first on my list. Springs were pretty much either Whiteline...Kings or Apexi. Just went with Whiteline becasue of SK and easy to order thru UAS.

Gotta love diggin up the old threads.... I think the 2.5hp refers to the power of the air con unit where the 7kws refers to how much power it consumes in 1 hour
