Fair enough, then you really need to look for dereg papers and compare the kms travelled. Auction papers would also reveal any issues the car has when it was bought in Japan. More than that it's really a gamble. Maybe buying from a personal owner might be another way out...?

Personally for my car throttle response was better....I wired my grounding kit to my throttle bodies. Shifting was better (auto). If you read g35driver or myg37, a lot of them will say the same thing. I think it's also all the electronics and drive by wire system. Camr33 - I'd think your car may have a tune done to it if it felt really different in terms of acceleration and power. Like Greg said, some tunes allow stock ECU to be used.

Grounding kits work for auto boxes due to the bad factory grounding. It helps shift smoother and abit harder. Another thing I noticed was my audio got a tad louder. The guys down at the audio shop said it was the grounding that made it better. Who knows...As to gaining kW....I doubt it. I dont think it makes it look messy....then again I made sure I hid the wires where I could...looks pretty much stock.

So over the last few months I've been doing a few aesthetics changes to my V36...powder coated wheels, angel eyes in my headlights and blacked out roof and grille. Debating to black out the side mirrors and fully black grille or to leave it...? Thoughts?

I would import the car through Iron Chef or Prestige Motorsports (I personally used Prestige). I am sure that Fabcar is charging a premium and you are better off importing it from Japan. You funds will go a longer way or even get you a type SP or 370GT. Patience is a virtue. PM me if you want to see a SP in Perth =)

There's threads about V36 modding...you can always look up myg37 or g35driver under 07-08 g35s....same car, a little different engine, mods similar. Most people use UpRev for ecu reflash. As for exhaust, changing HFC is better than a cat back exhaust...

I think 245 all around is good really...Well then again I'm not a fan of running a staggard setup...Compliance put on Dunlop Sports Maxx for me...Am quite surprised how good they are..I expected them to be shit...Done 37,000 kms now and they can probably go another 10k? My tyres normally run out way before this haha. Next set would probably be Yoko Advan Sport, P-Zero or Nitto...

They are both hollow...you should have gotten a front and rear set. Hotchkis makes really good sway bars.

Aren't most aftermarket sway bars hollow anyway? But yes the stock ones are shite. You'll be surprised how much difference it makes changing them out

I'm sure this will be the same on the 35...but I have the 36 and I have a custom exhaust job done. I have HFC and an X-pipe muffler and rear muffler...the rest are just 2.25" pipes....It sound pretty damn nice after 2.5k....I can imagine if I had done 2.5"....itll be pretty damn loud.

Was gonna try Nitto Motivo for my next set...let us know how well it runs
