  1. Maybe you would like to tell us which state/area you are at?
  2. How much were the handles?
  3. Yea seen a few of them driving around making so much noise and they just said they didnt know what it was. Especially in the Australian heat, rubber/plastic stuff tend to harden and die faster.
  4. Make sure to check for CV boot leaks, bushes and end links as well. Not specific to 100k kms but have found a lot of people never check for these issues.
  5. Mine was done by Leo. He's from Sydney area. Wrx and liberty guys use his services heaps. Let me know if you want his contact details.
  6. What's the difference between 2pin and 5pin?
  7. Ill try write something up tonight when I get home if I get the time. I've tried it on different V36s and seems to work. Remind me if I don't post anything by the weeken.d
  8. If you are running OEM sports sedan wheels then yes running 245/45/18 is fine (legal according to my tyre guy). I have been doing that since day 1 of getting the car. The front wheels are 7.5" and rears are 8.5".
  9. My "ping" noises came from my intakes rattling against the car frame -.-
  10. Maybe take a photo of the one you have?
  11. Who are you doing the compliance with?
  12. It's the same. Z34 brakes aren't brembos. Pretty sure they are akebonos. The part numbers are the same, I'm using them on my car
  13. You can always just search for Z34, it's the same rotors, pads and calipers.
  14. Need to educate them from a young age so they won't make the same mistakes again
  15. Can you tell us where the car is parked? It may need some additional fixing after you get it fixed.
  16. Dammit. So jealous. Dad usually drives my car and he's a lot taller than I am. Gets annoying lol
  17. I tried that before from reading the USDM manuals and it didn't work. But I have the 07 V36 350GT Sedan though not sure if they changed it for the newer ones.
  18. Some pads make squealing noises. Usually those pads are high performance and have a usable range which is higher and that's why in the morning you hear it the most. You should get pads which are usable from low heat range to high where possible. All depends how you drive as well. I drive like an asshole so my brakes are usually always pretty hot.
  19. Okay. I'll get red stuff once my current ones run out. Oem too much dust. Meh
  20. Is red stuff very dusty?
  21. Parts wise I think you are better off ordering it from Japan or America, depending what you want. Tune, I can't help you there, not from Sydney, but cheapest would be UpRev Tune. Reflash ECU and good to go. Brakes - try Nissan 4x4 wreckers, I got a set off a 370z from them. I was lucky, the car was written off and only done 21k kms? Headunit, there's a pinned thread about it. Someone in Sydney can do it for you.
  22. I've actually tried 300v for 2 services so around 12k kms....man, it goes black by around the 4500kms mark. Although it is very light and car may seem more responsive.....I personally think it's definitely for track cars and not for road use.
  23. Maybe ill get crucified for this but I've used Castrol Edge 5w-30 for 4 services and found that the engine wasn't as smooth and fuel consumption was a tad worse compared to the Motul oil I am using now. Could be due to other factors that I am unaware of. So now I am sticking to Motul. But I am open to suggestions and trying out other oils as well. I think some people swear by what they use cause their mechanics use specific oils and tell them how good they are. At the end of the day comes down to personal preference....imo anyway
  24. motul 810 5w30 in mine
  25. Yea thought as much. I went with a 4chn and mono block and mounted them on a board then onto the rear seats (I have a sedan). In hindsight I could have installed them under the well but at that time heat was my concern.
